We didn't use the many bali beds which were an extra cost.

With this in mind my husband and I decided to pay and book for bali type beds by the quiet pool.

Pools - spotlessly clean, life guard on guard - very helpful with the elderly & helping to put their sun umbrellas up (which do weigh a ton), sun loungers decent & comfy no need to reserve the Bali beds at an extra cost, yes there's the sunbed towel reserve system for your favourite spot everyday

There are a number of large double sun loungers (Bali beds) that you can reserve starting at €20 a day for 2 - we did this a couple of times and they are much more comfy/enjoyable.

The hotel have introduced more Bali beds at main pool at a high cost, thus reducing number of sun beds available.

but the hotel has “crammed” far too many chargeable Bali Beds  around the pool thus losing  space for free sun beds.

The pool areas were the best part of the hotel, we booked bali beds for 3 days at the main pool and smaller wicker double loungers at the quiet pool for the other days which were lovely

We didn’t really have a problem with sunbeds as we booked the Bali bed on a few days then on other days we went to the pool in the afternoon (we preferred the quiet pool) .

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the views absolutely breathtaking, I was lucky with the Bali bed that I didn't have to worry about reserving sun beds

Bali beds are a good addition and are worth the extra fee.

The pool area was lovely and we paid for the Bali beds.

The Bali beds were very popular and cost €25 for the day

There are many other attractions on the island including the largest water park in Europe, Loro Parque which is an unbelievable zoo with orcas, dolphins, see lions, penguins, sea lions and parrots in animal friendly environments (walls made of ice for the penguins) and even a yellow submarine.

If more than two people got in, the lift would alarm so often people had to get out to enable the lift to move!

No issue with the lifts other than at busy times you might have to wait for a bit.

Only two of the four lifts were operational last year and waiting times were horrendous!

👎🏼 Lifts could be temperamental, and take a while to arrive at busy times.

The two working lifts are terribly slow, slightly frustrating when guests used them to go up or down one or two floors!

Most the time we have been here only 2 of the 4 lifts have been working, which meant waiting time were ridiculously long.

but someone who would be reliant on lifts should know this!

Our room was on the fourth floor and we made a conscious decision before arriving to use the stairs each time and avoid the lifts to keep ourselves fit.

The lifts were an absolute nightmare, one takes 3 attempts to close, the weight limits exceed randomly.

What can I say about the lifts that has not been already said they are slow to say the least!

In 14 nights there was around 3 days max where the lifts were being worked on.

Because of this, many people are left waiting queuing for the lifts or forced to use the stairs.

We were slightly concerned about the negative reviews we'd read recently so will quickly address them; The lifts are a pain, there's no denying that.

The lifts - what can I say that hasn't been said already.

In fact, guests were starting to crack jokes about those lifts.

The Lifts are terrible at peak times and only 2 in working order for the size of the hotel is ridiculous.

The room key’s constantly needed resetting, which can be a pain coupled with no lifts to trundle up and down to reception.

although the lift engineers are currently working on the issue, it’s taking far too long. 2.

Additionally the lifts had a mind of their own, would just go straight past people waiting or doors open and close about five times before taking off.

The hotel staff are, truely, the best I have ever experienced in many years of holiday hotels.

The hotel is screaming for outdoor dining for breakfast and on an evening - it’s what most of us like when on holiday

By far the best holiday hotel food we have eaten in Europe.

Had been to lots of places on Tenerife on our first visit almost 10 years ago, so I just wanted a peaceful spot to enjoy a break away.

An honest review 
Came back November 3 after spending 10 day’s holiday , the staff work really hard and nothing is too much trouble.

Had a really relaxing holiday at this hotel towards the end of September.

but I did have a great holiday hence the 4, for the price paid.

Overall we had a lovely holiday being together

Probably one of the best all inclusive holidays we have had, and we have had quite a few.

but overall they all worked hard and it didn't spoil our holiday.

Just back from a weeks holiday at this wonderful hotel.

But no-one likes a mega fuss whilst on holiday.

We were looking for a relaxing week break in the sun and this is exactly what we got.

I can honestly say that if you are looking for a relaxed chilled holiday away from the hustle and bustle of a main resort then this is for you.

We have been on many Tui holidays in the past, Sensimar and Sensatori and have experienced a fantastic standard of hotel, food and accommodation

Made 3 complaints to TUI reps in person, holiday over, back in UK.

When you go on a holiday you can accept a few niggles here and there.

Lovely relaxing break at Tui Blue Los Gigantes .

There are always plenty of sunbeds and there a few quests that like to bag the same bed for the whole time of their  holiday so if you want the same beds as them get up early , if not don’t worry you will find a sunbed somewhere on the holiday complex .

but it really added to the holiday mood for us.

One on Christmas eve near pool area whereby free glasses of Cava were provided.

Plenty of sunbeds around a very clean pool area.

You could easily get one and sometimes we had the quiet pool area to ourselves.

Our room faced the pool area which meant we could enjoy the night time entertainment from our balcony.

The pool area is spotless and well kept the floor can be a bit slippery, wear something on your feet .

Some areas of the pool are in shade early on and again different areas are shaded later.

Evening entertainment for that hotel was ok, the two young girls on reception very nice, and helpful pool area seemed nice, quite pool was better

The pool areas are beautiful and the views from the hotel of both the cliffs and the sea and marina are lovely.

Nice cheap supermarket just right and across the road from the hotel’s reception, no issues bringing your own cold drinks down to the pool area plastic bottles only.

The pool area is fabulous and we never had a problem getting a sunbed.

It is disappointing to see so many poor reviews on here.

The food is of very poor quality, with natural juices from dispensers and awful coffee.

Just returned from a stay at this hotel, things to improve on:

Some areas in the hotel need a little updating looking very tired
Shower cubicles in room especially need an upgrade
Toilet privacy poor as your sat in a glass cubicle 

Apart from that room spacious and clean, paid a little extra for sea view room well worth it.

The room was on the sixth floor overlooking the sea , fabulous view and highly recommended 👍 last year being on the sixth floor was a bit of a bind due to  the extremely poor operation of the Lifts!

but don’t expect anything else it’s very poor.

The rooms are average with poor beds (noisy and uneven springs).

Activities were regularly cancelled when the two staff just did not turn up, leaving a number of customers upset and creating a poor impression of the brand.

We arrived after midnight and were offered a poor cold meal wrapped in cling film which we declined.

It’s overpriced, loud outside at night terrible food all round at the buffet and a bottle of water at the pool bar costs  €2.40  as opposed to €0.57 at the shop across the road the air con was poor and very loud, the door had a gap at the bottom which let a lot of light in at night from the hallway when trying to sleep.

I was really concerned about my visit to this hotel after reading poor reviews.

If you want a daybed book when you arrive as availability is poor.

Downsides are:- confusion at the airport on arrival with poor organisation from the Tui reps.only two lifts were working in the hotelCarnival kept us awake until 3am for three nights..We wouldn’t have booked if we had known about this beforehand.Underhand from Tui

Artists were very poor quality, no opportunity to dance so if you like dancing forget it.

The buffet food was poor quality and  not very warm either.

Monday evening we were going to venture down to get something to eat as we had not eaten in 2 days when a poor guest threw up towards the entrance to the restaurant, the sick on the floor was quickly covered by chairs by one of the waitresses.

Customer service poor they knew what was going on, my husband had to go down to dinner on his own.

Now the less positives:

The internet connection was poor and kept dropping out and the entertainment was average, with the exception of the flamenco dancer and the operatic duo.

Second was on Christmas day outside the restaurant whereby free beer, cava and canapés were served.

Just british food at the breakfast nothing spanish or canarian.

The best thing about this hotel is the food.

Never fails to deliver the goods,been to los gigantes tui blue more times than i care to mention, i my experience of traveling, this is the best hotel,, ever,, staff, food, pools.

The hotel is spotless, lots of choice in the restaurant  and the best scrambled  egg for breakfast I have ever tasted  in a hotel.

..my husband has been ill for the last 4 days despite every time in the lift or going to the restaurant using hand sanitiser..

The food on offer in the restaurant is absolutely second to none.

The huge buffet restaurant served a great selection of food with something for everyone.

We had a mountain view room and had a lovely side view of the cliffs and sea as well as being able to watch what was happening in the town.

Book a sea view room and enjoy the stunning sunsets over La Gomera from your balcony with a nice cool glass of wine from your Fridge before you go to dinner. 2.

The view - the views from the hotel are amazing, I’d highly recommend a sea view room it’s a small upgrade fee for a fantastic view and definitely worth the extra money.

We chose a village room on the 6th floor as our sea view room last year was too hot in an afternoon to use the balcony.

Our room overlooked the entrance and as we spent the remainder of the holiday on it due to still feeling unwell we noticed plenty leaving

Definitely great to have sea view room watching the ever changing sea is amazing, and the sunsets were awesome.

We had a sea view room on the top floor (8th) and it didn’t disappoint.

Our room overlooked the front, totally fine for us.

We opted for a Sea View room and were allocated one on the fourth floor.

Room overlooking the town and cliffs (which are amazing).Our room(7007) was very clean and cleaned every day by cleaning staff.

The Tui rep advised these bathrooms are only on that floor in seaview rooms and they are in the plan to be replaced.

Stayed on a sea view room which was breathtaking.

This also happened during the night and this is not what you want to smell at 2.30am!

Having had two hot tub sessions  the water was filthy again so we couldn't use it again.

The dining room was like a big cattle auction with trolleys being wheeled round with tea / coffe on (which tasted foul)  and big fridges set up in middle of room, no linen table cloths at all or soft furnishings just cheap wooden tables and plastic chairs that make the place look shabby.

Also the smell that was coming from the drainage into are room .you can hear everytime someone goes to the toilet 🚻 also having to deal with the smell of green coming into the room from the nabours wasn't good .we did arrive about 1 in the morning on the 7th  and we got a letter under the door saying we was not intitled to are evening meal when I went to report it the reception man he wasn't bothered and said its not are fault you had a late flight

but eat outside of the hotel as this was not acceptable and disgusting to see.

even though breakfast ends at 11am, so the ‘late riser breakfast’ consists of the stale hot food leftovers.

The problem seems to stem from the sewage pipes in the area not going far enough out into the sea and contaminated airborne particles being blown back in.

Would strongly advise people to wear shoes/sandals around the pool area as the tiles can get quite very slippy when wet - we witnessed a couple of nasty falls during our stay.

Unfortunately the local press indicate the illness problems are caused by the sewage outlet into the sea being blown back in heavy seas, this would create contamination along coastline.

Quite a lot of damp remains from a leak, black mould and paint peeling onto skirting.

but plentiful.Just one surly ,abrasive lady receptionist.I won’t name her but I suspect guests can surmise who I’m referring to.We had a smoker in the next room who used his balcony and after several times reporting this to receptionist to no effect had to complain directly to the hotel manager who put a stop to it immediately.We didn’t appreciate cigarette smoke infiltrating our room at 6am.

Cold food in the warm buffet plates was typical, the vegetable spring rolls were disgusting (see picture) – simply filled with an undiscernible mashed veg mixture.

On the first night we walked into the restaurant passing copious amounts of vomit on the floor cordoned off by chairs .

On the Tuesday I went down with a nasty stomach bug.

Downside:   This time though, there was a nasty 'bug' (sickness, etc.,)  in the Hotel and has been on the Island and in Hotels, apparently, according to the TUI Rep since the 14th February, with no signs of going away.

I needed to have been I'll and seen a Dr about the mould etc.

Mold in bathroom, rusty bin, stained sofa.

I had an accident whilst away- not at the hotel- the reception staff were incredibly helpful.

This hotel has the most amazing views over the Atlantic.

My room was on the seventh floor overlooking the town and harbour.

The rooms are a good standard beds are firm the sea view is a must , pay the extra.

Perfectly positioned above the sea for the most stunning views imaginable.

They did have Bali beds available, the pricing wasn’t outrageous… so you have options if you want a reserved place that comes with a nice charcuterie board adjacent to a bar and very attentive staff.

We could easily walk to the Ala Moana Shopping Center and to the Honolulu Zoo.

Other tourist sites are within walking distace- International Village mall, the Royal Hawaiian Hotel, and a short bus or cab ride to the Zoo and Diamondhead hike.

We stayed in an ocean front suite and the views were absolutely spectacular looking over the marina and out to the ocean.

I truly enjoyed my room with incredible views of the ocean and marina.

The pool deck offers private cabanas for rent with a great view over the marina and Ala Moana beach park.

* Highly recommend an oceanfront room…who does not want a sunrise/sunset view at their leisure; our toddler loved floor-to-ceiling the marina and ocean view.

Merlin Yacht Racing stayed as part of our race from Los Angeles with the whole team and guests.

The view is superb, you can see the harbor, the Ala Moana park, and the people surfing.

They put us in a lovely king room with a beautiful view of the marina.

It is situated by the marina and just off the start of Waikiki beach.

We had a great view of the marina and also the fireworks on the beach which apparently take place each Friday evening.

Beautiful property ,very friendly staff, comfortable rooms with ocean marina view.

Loved you pool area very clean nice view of the yacht club and the beach.

It was quiet and had a great view of the marina and Ala Moana beach.
