The staff are welcoming and extremely helpful, the only slight negative was that the food in the restaurant is fairly average.

Food in the restaurant for dinner was average for the dinners we had for our half board package , and we also tried the a la carte items which were slightly better.

The price level for restaurant and services is average.

Overall, we would definitely recommend Sanctoo suites and villas, especially if you’re planning to visit Bali Zoo. We will be back :)

Me, My Wife and our Son Liam had our most amazing family time together and discovered the most exciting adventures in Bali Zoo with some of the exotic creatures and animals over there.

We also loved the fact that we were minutes away from Bali Zoo and can actually hear the lions roaring and the monkeys howling from the Sanctoo lobby.

We love the flexibility of visit to Bali zoo which was the highlight of my daughter’s stay in Sanctoo.

By staying here we got unlimited access to bali zoo which is exactly the main reason i stay here at first,

Furthermore, we received free tickets to Bali Zoo too!

Only 3mins walking distance to Bali Zoo, which is super convenience.

Included was unlimited access to the Bali zoo, a choice of animal feeding (feeding either elephant or tiger), and discounts on restaurant.

We can go to Bali Zoo as many times as we want during our stay.

Bali zoo is one of the most pleasant zoo we have visited around the world.

Our package included breakfast and free admission to the Bali Zoo which is adjacent to the hotel and can be reached within a few steps.

We had a pleasant stay in Sanctoo.. Everything was great, the room was big, the environment was so nice and we could go to the bali zoo without any additional cost..

We also had breakfast at Bali Zoo restaurant with Orang Utan 🤩

I stayed on weekday, the reason i choosen this hotel because we got unlimited access to Bali Zoo..

Just grab your wrist band from the reception on your way over (the zoo entrance is right opposite the reception and if you lose or rip off your band they replace them no worries)

Overall we really couldn’t fault our stay at Sanctoo.

I wish someone owned up to it rather than ignore it.

Lastly, before arriving there were many back and forth emails with the manager arguing that I didn't deserve the extra accommodations promised on the website because I used booking.com

There is also an on-site spa in the hotel that we patronised twice for massages, scub and a facial and it was extremely relaxing with the sounds of the waterfall as the treatments were administered.

Pretty great half open-air spa as well where you can see and hear the river gushing.

Surrounded by beautiful landscape and listening to the sound of river next to our Villla was a bliss!

I recommend this place for all zoo fans and those who seek a quiet retreat in some distance to the very crowded and touristic neighborhoods of Ubud.

Hotel ambience was calm n soothing with the crashing sounds of the river (I stayed at the River view pool villa).

Really love the sound of the nature while i was massaged.

the spa place is clean and in front of small waterfall so you can listen to the sound of water during massage and it is very calming

We also try the SPA experience, the ambience of the spa is very good with the natural sound of waterfall.

One can also make use of the Bose sound system.

If you have a plan to visit Bali zoo and also want to stay nearby the Ubud area, this place is a good choice, because you can have a quiet satisfying stay in the middle of Bali Zoo Park.

Also, this hotel is very quiet so your stay can be very romantic.

The Spa, the waterfall and the sound came from within.

We had riverside villa 10, with a massive wet edge private pool and an outdoor shower, you will drift to sleep each night with the subtle sound of the cascading river as a backdrop.

We had breakfast included in our package and we will miss our mornings sitting amongst the greenery listening to the sounds of the river and enjoying the selection of bacon, eggs (your way), sausages, hash browns, spinach, mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, pancakes, nasi goreng (fried rice)and mie goreng (noodles) and not to mention the amazing fresh fruit and fruit juices.

The perfect massage, sound of the water and the mist made it one of those moments you think.

The spa was also great with the sound of running water from the nearby river.

but we were here 5 nights and found it all to be quite tasty and acceptable.

The restaurant had a varied menu with many Indonesian and western options - all of which that we tried were great.

Every morning we were greeted very well in the restaurant where we had our delicious breakfast, the staff very friendly to our son and always provide us with care and smiles.

The food was good, the only thing I would like to recommend was so alternative milk option for breakfast or smoothies (as we have a milk allergy)  .

During birthday celebration at their restaurant was also amazing.

The spa is brilliant, next to a waterfall and all the staff seemed very capable.

The spa was a very relaxing experience, my wife was pregnant during the visit and they were very courteous and adjusted treatments to make then suitable for her.

The spa is an absolute must-do, and definitely up there as one of the best spas I’ve been to.

We can highly recommend Bali Zoo and the Bali Bird Park.

We found Prime Plaza Suites in Sanur an absolute pleasure to stay at.From the Very Friendly and Helpful Staff at the Resort to the Beautiful Facilities.Also the Sanur Beach was only a 15-30 minute walk pending on your fitness,once there we found the Beach Absolutely Beautiful with a Huge Variety of Restaurants to Dine in.I would Highly Recommend Prime Plaza Suites to Anybody Travelling to Bali,Particularily in Sanur.

A lovely calm beach, perfect for children.

Went to get shuttle 'bus' to the beach as it comes once an hour,  the van was full so we waited an extra 15 mins for a van to come get us and another family to take us to the beach.

We used the complimentary bus a lot to get around to markets, supermarket and the sands beach club.

The shuttle to Saur was great, and there is a back gate that made walking down to the beach a breeze, i just wish they'd keep it open later than 6pm when the bus stops - this is prime time for getting down to Sanur beach and the nightlife - all in all it was a great place for the money, and a LOT of room for the kids with the kitchenette and cable tv - will definitely return, especially if they have a reno!

Bed super comfortable , rooms are very clean and grounds are well kept .

Accommodation amazing, tidy and cleaned daily.

We stayed in both the 2 and 3 bed options and they were spacious, clean and comfortable!

The rooms were modern, spacious and sparkling clean.

Had a 3 bedroom apartment which was very spacious, clean and main bedroom with own bathroom.

The place is extraordinarily clean and tidy.

Food was nice, room was spacious, clean and comfortable.

Rooms are really spacious for a family with great clean facilities.

We had a slight problem with our bill (due to my mistake) and this was fixed immediately without issue and hotel apologising profusely for the error.

but to those senior needs a energy to reach the second floor due to there was no elevator.

Also after having to check out three nights earlier then usual due to gov corona virus etc, they very kindly refunded us, which they didn’t have to do.

even though it was dark inside due to no sunlight.

We unfortunately had to leave our stroller behind (due to a mix up with weight limit) and in Kuta they had strollers you could hire direct from the hotel for $5 per day.

but due to that hotel being disgusting we checked out and moved to the Prime Plaza Suites where my son and his family were staying.

Interior of room is starting to show heavy usage and is probably due for a full refurbishment in a year or so,

but almost quicker to walk due to traffic & one-way streets.

To be certain there was not a misunderstanding due to our language barrier I had an Indonesian friend call to speak with the hotel the next day and again we were told they had not been found.

Only the room slightly gave me goosebumps due to the low light.

however taxi require after 6pm due to back gate closing.

When we checked in when room was ready we were given a 10% discount voucher (which we gained through Expedia due to booking previous holidays with them before) This gave us 10% off spa treatments, all food (including room service) and non alcoholic drinks.

Complete breakdown of communication due to lack of English understanding.

however due to the volcano we noticed that there were not many people in the hotel.

We asked to move rooms due to dogs barking in the Neighbourhood and were told that rooms were full and we could move later.

but due to having 2 kids under 4 with us this time decided to try the suites.

Only drawback of the hotel location is that you cannot easily access Main Street Sanur by foot in the evening or return to the hotel due to the rear entry of the hotel being closed off for security reasons.

The kids did not want to leave the hotel at all, due to this pool!

I was a little bit sceptical at first due to my first experience of a Balinease massage at a previous hotel

We did change rooms at one point due to noisy neighbours,

Coming through the front, off a very busy road is incredibly dangerous in the dark.

We found Semminyak too busy with traffic and dangerous for kids,

It is locked up at 6pm so if you return or want to leave later, you are more or less forced to get a taxi as the walk along the main road is pretty dangerous.

I have only two small moans - firstly, the beach area allocated to the Suites has moved to a more shady area largely under trees and it was difficult to get sun beds actually in the sun.

However we spent most of our time downstairs in the very inviting, shady pool areas.

The gate leads to a lane that has a pretty uneven surface, no lighting and feels a little dodgy.

We stayed here for 6 nights from February 5 th we paid $172 per night for 2 bedroom suite it was really clean and nice to stay in.the only down side was the laneway to the Main Street can get busy with moped bikes my children are 6&8 so it wasn't that bad with smaller children it could be a bit dangerous as the laneways are narrow.

You can't walk via the front entrance, it's quite unsafe (even the pavement is unsafe with large holes in the path), and a very long route, particularly with kids.

My only suggestion is to perhaps consider upgrading the kids playground equipment next to the kids pool - it must have been installed when hotel was originally built is very tired, verging on dangerous - would make the area a bit more appealing and safe particularly for small children.

but unfortunately the alternative path from the front of the hotel isn't safe to walk on if you have a stroller and is a bit dodgy and dark.

The main pool deck area is dangerous and slippery when wet.

I totally understand why this back gate is locked at 6pm as you should not attempt to walk this lane with children after dark it would be very dangerous traffic wise etc and why take the risk when a taxi home is only AUD$5.

however it is a residential area and we had a scary incident with dogs that ran out of a property and attempted to attack our young son.

We loved the pool area, the only negative is that the daybeds could do with upgrading, they were old and could not be moved into shady areas.

And at night (it got darker earlier than we expected) there was very little lighting in or around the pool, which we felt was unsafe trying to keep track of the kids.

So if you want a quiet secluded honeymoon, then don’t come here.

The suites were amazing with so much room and very quiet.

Lovely staff,  Sadly there was outdoor entertainment each evening until 9.30pm with sound speakers that blasted straight into out rooms.

Our room overlooked the pool so we didn’t notice any noise from the highway.

but the location probably let it down although if you want just a quiet area and prefer to stay around the hotel it would be perfect.

The pool was very quiet which we found strange compared to the other hotels and resorts we had stayed at.

Our room was upstairs and had a landing outside which we used as a bedroom for our son some nights.

We mixed staying at more rustic quiet places in Bali with a week at prime plaza to give our children some crazy kid fun and it was perfect.

The hotel was quiet and great for kids (4 and 6yrs old) and adults alike.

After spending 5 nights in busy Legian it was nice to spend the next 4 nights in quiet Sanur.

- Being quiet at PPSS there were only 3 families/tables max while we having breakfast,

The hotel is nice a quiet and the staff are wonderful.

Even better that you could order food and drinks pool side as well!At times, because of fronting the bypass, the traffic was noticeable - especially at night.

The hotel was very quiet so had the pool to ourselves on several occasions.

This meant we could have the kids sleep in their own beds whilst a large group of us were able to comfortably be in the lounge area, without disturbing sleeping children.

Our stay at the end of October was very quiet and relaxing time to visit this resort and Sanur.

The resort, the huge rooms, the staff, the food and the cleaning keeps us coming back again and again!

Breakfast buffet was nice with a good variety of breakfast cuisine available.

Great facilities for family at this hotel, kids have so much fun, food is good we’ll priced something there for anyone.

Served from 6.30-10.30am each morning which was perfect in case we wanted a late start or needed to eat before leaving for a day trip.

It's also an easy walk out the back gate to the local shops and restaurants.

Everything we needed organise food when we didn’t want to go out.

Rooms are spacious and private, the food was great, especially the local dishes.

We had the free flow drinks package which was great and combined with the food options on offer, we did not have to venture far meaning more relaxing pool time!

However this is locked at 6pm, it would be great if management would leave it open till 8 or 9pm to accommodate going out for dinner.

Bathrooms on the small side considering how big the room was

The only downside to the apartment is the bathrooms are quite small - hard to fit 2 people in there at once.

The bathroom was small, door almost touched the toilet bowl.

Bathrooms are very small, not ideal for large people.

Our apartment was huge, except the bathrooms were a bit on the small side.

Otherwise comparing to kitchen size the bathroom is tiny, two people hardly can be there at one time.

The only thing I would think isn’t on par is the very small bathroom

They are enormous, the living area and bedrooms are huge, the bathrooms are small,

The main bedroom was a good size and the minor bedroom and bathrooms were very small.

They could do with a second DVD player in another room and the bathrooms are quite small and dated,

however the bathrooms were way too small.

although the bathroom was a little small when trying the bath 2 kids at a time and fit an adult in too.

Bathrooms are tiny and not functional at all.
