Great location on the mellow side of Waikiki with incredible views of Diamond Head and easy access to the beach, restaurants, parks, the zoo, the aquarium, the high energy surfer enclaves and high end boutiques.

Parks, beach, aquarium, zoo, shopping and plenty of restaurants.

Very good all-day restaurant (Hau Tree) next door), walking distance (if you're in good shape) to stores and Honolulu Zoo (if you must go into Waikiki).

The hotel is within walking distance to the Waikiki Aquarium and only a few miles from the Honolulu Zoo which are great.

Easy walk to the zoo, aquarium, beach, and the hotel has wonderful coffee makers in the room, a plentiful ice machine, and towels and chairs to lend.

It's quiet and peaceful, yet within walking distance of Waikiki, as well as the Aquarium and the Zoo.

Also a very short walk to Waikiki Aquarium and the Honolulu Zoo.

A short walk past the Zoo down the street will take you to convenience shops and other restaurants for meals

Walking distance to the zoo, aquarium, Starbucks, beach & parks.

A 10 minute walk to Waikiki or the Zoo, and Kapiolani Park is across the street.

It's a Class act hotel located in a quiet neighborhood with great views of Diamond Head, only footsteps from the Waikiki Aquarium & Zoo, about 1-1/2 miles to the center of Waikiki.

And the hotel is located in a great location, next to the park, zoo, aquarium and a great little beach for the kids.

Seriously underpopulated Sans Souci Beach is just a few steps away, and the aquarium and zoo are easy walks.

We were able to easily walk to the beach, zoo, shopping, and restaurants all under 15 minutes.

Located in a nice, quiet area, with beautiful views and  within walking distance to Diamond Head - a must hike.

The Lotus Honolulu is a gem of a hotel located near Diamond Head and across the street from Kapi’olani Park.

With the Lotus Hotel situated in the best location in Waikiki, close to Diamond Head it’s certainly easy to get around with first class amenities and extra benefits make it value for the money.

We really liked the location, far away from the busiest part of Waikiki, and close to Diamond Head and cool local coffee places across from the park.

The hotel is close to diamond head and a short 10 min walk from Waikiki centre.

Kapiolani Park is right across the street, and this is about as close as you can get to Diamond Head.

We wanted to be close to Diamond Head, have a great view both the ocean and Diamond Head, be near everything,

Lovely rooms, great location near Diamond Head, away from the crowds, warm and helpful staff - this hotel is the perfect place to stay in Honolulu.

The Lotus is a gem of a hotel hidden away in a quiet part of W Honolulu near diamond head.

but we never waited more than about 30 seconds for the elevator.

The last point, which will not impact anyone in the future, as far as I can tell, is that without warning, or signage, and without closing off the elevator - which would have been problematic, because there is only one elevator serving the higher floors, a contractor began to replace the flooring in the elevator.

There is one elevator only and it can be slow during busy times.

The building is in fact dated, only 1 elevator is working (which usually arrives with a loud lurch and the wait could be long), and rooms could use some updating.

Only downside is there's just the 1 elevator which you'll be stuck waiting for often.

There is no pool and the elevator is old and slow

I would have preferred taking the stairs to the water dispenser as the elevator was cramped and slow,

however were heard the elevator during our second stay in a park-side room.

And the elevator situation was a little weird.

Only drawback was the single elevator to rooms.

Upon entering the hotel, we a had temperature check, sanitizing stations by the elevator and mandatory mask wearing.

The only complain is there is only one elevator and it broke down the last night we were there not very fun climbing 8 floors.

Lifts are extremely old and noisy, and walls are so thin .. if you have a room near the lifts like we did, then be ready for clunking and crashing noises at all hours.

Downside is elevator is a little old and very slow.

but there is only one elevator so if something goes wrong you’ll need to adjust.

One elevator, which didn't work one day and that is an issue when you are on floor 12.

It took us a few days to figure out the apples in the dish by the elevator were real and to just help yourself!

Cons: Third floor room near the elevator, super noisy as all hotel rooms near elevators are, though.

The elevator is old, it seems to be broken and scared.

They have really excellent amenities for the price - we loved that parking was included, wine tasting was complimentary and we had a blast renting the free bikes and biking around Waikiki and the crater!

We always enjoy the free bikes during our stay and Saturday yoga is a must!

Christieann and Merly took care of me  Free bikes to use with locks and helmets!

They have free bike rentals and towels as well.

Very professional level, great restaurant, great beach private frontage, had free bikes, beach towels and chairs to use.

Borrowed the free bikes and cycled all along Waikiki which was amazing.

Beautiful views, walking distance to the beach, free parking, and wonderful amenities (free bikes, beach chairs, towels and access to laundry).

For more adventure you can borrow one of their free bikes to tour the area.

We did make use of the free bikes with locks to go up to Waikiki for lunch.

The hotel provides free bikes that are quite nice and are well equipped with front and rear lights for riding at night.

At this particular hotel, that fee also provides you with free valet parking, which was huge for us, a daily morning yoga class, towels and chairs for the beach, complimentary wine each day from 4-5:30, and free bicycle use, among other things.

Take the free bikes and cycle up to the entrance to the Diamond Head Trek - quite an easy ride and good views - places to lock your bike once you get there.

Lotus was a nice spot for our first nights in Oahu.

Whenever we are visiting family on Oahu from our home on Kauai,  we stay at the Lotus.

I'm a former kamaina who recently returned home to Oahu.

If you're looking for a base while exploring Oahu that's close enough to the sights while away from the madness of Waikiki that's a good value, this is the place!

On the island of Oahu and on the edge of Waikiki, stands a hidden gem called Lotus Honolulu.

Had a nice stay here while visiting friends in Oahu.

If I do get the chance to visit Oahu again, will definitely choose to stay at maybe better priced hotels/inns around Kalakaua road even if not beach front.

You can stroll to the beach (with the chairs and towels provided by the Lotus), grab one of their bikes to ride to the parks, great location to hike Diamond Head, nice walk to the lively Waikiki hotel/restaurant/shopping district.

We will definitely be staying there next time we come to Oahu!

If we come back to Oahu we will definitely stay again!

The hotel staff was wonderful, and we could take beach chairs and towels on our journeys around Oahu, making it easy to stop and enjoy many beaches.

We borrowed the hotel’s beach chairs (complimentary with modest resort fee) every day and went venturing around Oahu in our rental car to the various beaches.

I wouldn’t look any further if you’re looking for a clean and relaxing stay in Oahu!

We had the best time in Oahu and will stay at the Lotus on our next visit.

We stayed in 3 different places during our time in Oahu and Maui, and Lotus was by far the best.

We’ve stayed in this hotel many times and it’s our favorite hotel on Oahu.

Would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Oahu!

First things first though, read the description of the hotel well so you are not surprised when you go and discover the hotel is not directly on the beach and there is no pool, fitness center or spa or restaurant open nightly, (only Wednesday thru Sunday).

My only regret (my fault for not checking in advance) is that the hotel doesn’t have a pool or gym.

This hotel does not have a lot of amenities - very limited restaurant hours, no gift shop, gym or pool

amenities are limited so if you want a pool this is not the place for you.

There is no pool at this hotel & this only weakness,

It is not a "lie around the pool" resort as there isn't a pool or place to be outside except for a small and crowded sliver of beach.

We realized after booking that it had no pool so we were a little disappointed.

however, you like to be ever-so-slightly off the beaten path (about 1/2 to 3/4 mile) and you don't mind the absence of a pool, then read on. .

however, we had also been looking forward to lazing around the pool on some afternoons - although in that case I'll take responsibility for not thoroughly making sure the hotel had a pool before we booked it (I assumed it did, most hotels selling at this room rate would most likely have one).

Be aware that there is no pool or hot tub, and the location is a bit out of the way as far as the center of the action on Waikiki,

I did find the resort charge I bit cheeky as the hotel doesn't have a pool or any chairs on the beach.

It was good to come back to Lotus after sightseeing; it's quiet and away from the hustle and bustle.

The rooms are clean, quiet and the beds are always comfortable.

Every clerk at the Lotus front desk was genuine and hospitable. It was wonderful to hear, "Welcome Home!"

It is located in a quiet location on the island with easy access to Kaimana Beach and many restaurants in Waikiki.

But the Lotus offers five star comfort and five star quiet!

Could not hear any of my neighbors and everything was so peaceful and quiet, compared to my experience at the Queen Kapi’olani, which was so darn noisy.

The room on the 5th floor was very quiet and provided a beautiful view of Diamond Head and a partial of the ocean.

Such a perfect location - quiet and yet easily walkable into Waikiki.

The views of Diamond Head are spectacular, the rooms are spacious, there's a great park across the street for running/walking, and the staff service is very good.

The room was big and the lanai was large enough for 2 people to sit comfortably.

Comfortable rooms and very private beach.

Lastly, lots of special amenities - delicious Italian Illy coffee in your room (plus mini fridge and microwave),  nightly wine reception, beach chairs and towels, bikes and even a tennis racket if you want to play on the nearby park courts!

She went above and beyond to give us the room we booked and gave us a free upgrade to an ocean view room.

Stayed 3 days for boyfriend’s bday trip, was lucky enough to get a corner room with a lot of sunlight.

The room was beautiful, and since it was a corner room we had two balconies and a lovely view towards the ocean and also of the park below Diamond Head.

The view from our room and balcony of the crater was incredible (though be aware that it's definitely more crater-facing than ocean facing).

It made me comfortable walking barefoot in the room.

The rooms are lovely and the views of Diamond Head + ocean are wonderful.

The lobby area and our room was very clean.

The Complimentary water bottles in the room were a nice touch and it was a great keepsake of our time there.

Room is clean and every staff is friendly and nice to us, esp Christieann.

The Lotus has everything you could possibly want for your Honolulu stay: great location, great views, incredibly friendly and accommodating staff, and plentiful amenities!

Lotus hands down has the best staff in the world.

I stayed Saturday through Thursday and her kindness is what made my time there most memorable.

Zee and James were the friendliest and most relatable staff ever.

The desk staff was especially nice, and Christieann gave us a wonderful aloha greeting every time we saw her.

The front desk staff was friendly, helpful and gave great tips!

Cody and Cristtieann are genuinely kind and happy people with infectious friendliness.

So myself and my best friend stayed here the night before we flew to Bali.

But, in addition, it's just across the road from a Qantas Domestic check-in area—they take you by bus directly to the secure area of the Domestic Terminal, bypassing the zoo there!

Very comfy bed, amazing runway view which I really enjoyed.

The room (608) was clean and comfortable.

The room was fairly soundproof and the bed was very comfortable.

Beds and pillows are so comfortable and the rooms are the perfect temperature!

The check in and out were quick and easy and the hotel was clean and comfortable, could not ask for more.

All in all, our stay was quite comfortable and memorable!

Other than these, it's a comfortable enough room -

The location is unbeatable, just across the street to the international terminal Very comfortable and very quiet when we stayed at our airport view room.

Fabulous staff, comfortable bed , amazing room …loved everything about my stay…will definitely be staying there again…excellent location as well so close to airport., which was great for a solo traveller with multiple bags.

There was a very comfortable bed with nice sheets. Downside.

Really handy being right next to T1, great hotel, beds were comfy and breakfast was plentiful.

We charged everything back to our room and when we settled the account the next morning, we were unable to claim the 20% discount.

but did not inform me I had 2 bookings 
When I booked in on 14/12/2023 they had no record of my online booking with reservations stay or booked for $500 online and stated that I had 2 bookings and charged me $400 for the night as I had not cancelled the second booking in time 
I oaid $900 for one night at your hotel and sm not happy

My only gripe was that we checked in online and when we collected our room card at the kiosk it didn’t work so we had to queue up to get it looked at.

We only discovered we'd been charged the next morning on checkout ! !

No email has ever been received and the full amount has been deducted from my credit card.

No reply and no credit to date
We are away overseas and will most definitely be calling them when return to Australia 
Terrible terrible customer relations and hopefully they may read this snd perhaps decide to answer me

The card was left right where the dirty cups were, so cleaners ignored this completely.

7 weeks later Dad receives an email, and his credit card is charged for a breakfast that neither he nor I had.

Unfortunately by the time we got our cards to access the elevator after 3 attempts the bar was closed and nothing open across the road at the terminal was open.

After night one I received a digital receipt and noticed I had been charged for 2 items from the mini bar that my family did not consume.

My gripe was on the need for a physical credit card.

At Rydges we found 4 of the tiny milk ‘pods’ in the room bar fridge and upon requesting a small amount of fresh milk we have been charged $13!!!!!

Added to this i was overcharged by $6 over the menu cost including tray charge.
