We recently returned to Rumah Luwih Beach Resort and stayed for eleven nights.

The black sand beach is just a few steps away too!

The food was excellent, the pool was beautiful and relaxing and the ocean was invigorating to watch crash onto a black sand beach.

What we love the most is walking by the pathway to the beach under the moon light, it was so romantic and you can feel the sea breeze, im not sure if the beach is swimable or not. I will rate this hotel 9 out of 10, and for sure will recommend to my colleague and family, will be back soon :)

The suite we stayed in was overlooking a quiet black sand beach.

but a free shuttle is provided to either Sanur Beach or Ubud (alternate days to each I seem to recall).

They are opening new beach club pretty soon.

The lobby dived at the end into a spectacular view of the beach and an immaculate landscaping with a beautiful lagoon and pool.

Upon arrival we were made to feel very welcome, seamless check in - your first impression is wow, the hotel is stunning - the grand stair case, huge chandelier and large, colonial style open spaces looking out to uninterrupted garden and beach views.

Pool is also offering a great view of the beach.

We also LOVED the pool and frangipan flowers hanging and falling around us in the pool with a beautiful view of the beach.

This place and people were just s-o amazing, the staff was so caring and kind, allways smiling, allways asking if we needed anything, the food was amazing even if you would have choseen traditional, american or european food, relaxing music playing in the back.. And the view.. Wow.. it felt just like paradise, everything so clean, we had the best time ever! !

Ayu made us great cocktails and educated us about the area - he’s an asset for sure.

The restaurant is also great and the staff very helpful.

Very nice arranged breakfast, tasty Burger, clean and big rooms.

Food cooked by the in-house chef are all delicious.

Not to forget to mention, the food are awesome and delicious.

We were lucky enough to be there for new year's eve and joined their party which was better than many weddings I've been to, live music, entertainment, DJ, amazing drinks and food, fireworks and lovely atmosphere.

although I cleared my balance via cash, they now keep my credit card transaction unreleased for 14 days without notice!!

We consumed vegetarian food and they were so delicious and far from boring vegetarian food; only some of the dishes were too spicy without any chili indication on the menu sign.

The food quality needs improving, it's not 5 star and service is extremely slow.

Service was ultra slow and often did not return with our order .

It was sometimes a slow service in terms of drinks & food

but the view was blocked by a large tree!

Location ideal , not crowd and noisy.

The grounds, the pool, the outlook over the swan/duck occupied pond to the horizon of water was really gorgeous.

The pool is large and has a lovely outlook facing the lake, garden and ocean.

Bicycles, umbrellas, gees, a huge pool, hot hot showers and great views and only a short walk to the famous Keramas surf break.

The room is perfect with basic toiletries, that includes kiblat direction for Muslims, iron for the ladies, room slipper, great view & spacious room.

The hotel itself is gorgeous and close to the sea.

We loved everything about this amazing hotel: quiet location, wonderful view, great infinity pool (also with a view), 5 star customer service, helpful and friendly staff, delicious food and incredible professional management, especially Eka who went above and beyond to help us solve a misunderstanding with our travel agent and ensured we had an unforgettable experience.

The pool was my favorite part of the resort, one must try swimming while overviewing the ocean.

I felt comfort with the Hotel facility and their good service  I enjoy a sunset  view  Food and beverages is good , Really enjoy my time wiht Family in this Hotel.

Note: we did the KlungKlung town centre via free shuttle and also Breakfast with the Orangutans at the Bali Zoo as two separate options to fill our days.

We booked there because on the the first 2days in Bali we plan to visit Bali Zoo and Bali Safari and Marine Park.

but the beach (too dangerous to swim at) and you are surrounded by rice fields.

resort in quiet area directly at beach, very spacious reception, room with pool in front, on second floor, instead of a terrace, with ocean view, also offer massages on premises, staff very friendly, trying to be helpful, making your stay a memorable one.

I had a REAL great time explorig their beautiful suite, their beach club, their beach, mountains even bicycling around the hotel!

We had our breakfast daily at the beach club.

Staff is friendly, hotel is near to the beach.

It was right on the beach and it was calming for me to hear the waves crashing during the night, or simply having a relaxed walked along the beach.

The beach itself has black sand and big wave.

Their pool is right next to the beach and it is huge.

It’s located in a nice quiet area, on the ocean shore.

got a suite room with beach view, 1 bathub inside and 1 jetted bathub outside.

It overlooked the beach and beach pool area and had a jacuzzi and sun lounge on the balcony.

Klungkung is blessed with spectacular sunsets and sunrises, and I was lucky to have a sunset over the beach view.

You can see mountain view and beach at the same time.

Great views of mount Agung and the surrounding countryside to the north and from the pool and beach views of  Nusa Lembongan and Penida.

It faced the bay with good views of the coastline, rolling waves and evening sunsets.

the room with the beach view and mini swimming pool just outside the window are really special for the guests.surely I ll come back to stay in this hotel in BALI.

The sliding doors alignment right to the bathtub were off which created huge vibration noise if there was huge ocean wave crashing.

Should someone suffer a seizure in either room the door must open outwards to gain access to the patient. 4.

One of the doors wouldn’t lock, the walls are paper thin and the cabinetry is poor quality.

On some days we had a "do not disturb" sign up as we didn't want our room cleaned and in the evening, the cleaning staff would pop a note under the door asking us to contact them if we required their services.

On the second night after spending a day at the Jivva beach club we had a knock on the door with 2 employees stating we had to settle our bill as reception did not have a credit card deposit on our room.

However, a little disappointing was only the glass door to the balcony couldn't be locked and there is no one of pool attendant /staff to be around during our pool time, sometimes we need help for just open the umbrella or order drinks to enjoy by the poolside.

although swimming might be dangerous to some since the wave is pretty strong (sometimes you feel the "shake" from the room).

The beach is no go for swimming as dangerous rips and black sand.

but there is nowhere to ride without going into extremely busy roads that we considered to be too dangerous.

But the most scary part was an earthquake on Lombok so we experinced the building was shaking and I assume everybody went down to the information center

I had noisy neighbors on the first night, and immediately, management sent someone over to talk to the noisy neighbors and even offered to move me to another room.

Even we didn't get to play on the black private beach there (too dangerous for children), we're quite satisfied with their sandy pool.

but do not swim, the waves are dangerous and I got scars to prove it.

Expect to feel your bed 'shake' whenever there is a strong current, was scary at first

The resort is good with rooms of a high standard, food is good, staff are lovely and service is usually good (staffing levels in restaurant may be an issue during busy periods).

My husband likes at breakfast time, he will took black coffee and some cheese choices everyday, my favorite is their meatball!

When we were asking for dinner, the head chef directly came and discussed us.

Very good food, excellent service, beautiful views.

The restaurant meals were absolutely brilliant.

Good place for meetings, I have a meeting with the team, good food, satisfying service and a good place, the meeting room is also fantastic and good team.

we was 100 people and food was super and staff was always ready to help from satrt to the end of the party .

The room was very clean and cool on arrival.

The room was clean and spacious with an outside bathroom, which was a wonderful experience considering it was 31 degrees every day.

The swimming pool was also very clean and quit.

Our room was clean and beautifully presented.

What a wonderful suprise, a very clean and quite place to come to after a day in the traffic and crowds, the pool is amazingly clean, food is tasty, and service is friendly.

The villas and grounds are immaculately kept.

The villas are beautiful, clean, and refreshing, a testament to your housekeepers.

Stayed in a garden villa, as a couple, and it was beautiful, very clean, very comfortable, nice and quiet and private.

The resort is spacious and well-maintained.

The room itself was really nice and done to a good standard, the pool was very clean and looked great, the garden around the villa was great and it felt like a very private lovely place to stay.

The accommodation was lovely, the mattress divine, everything was clean and well maintained.

The villa very clean and maintained, our room was cleaned daily, house keeping left fresh towels when we needed them to be changed.

We stayed at Santi Mandala for the first 3 nights of our Bali holiday, the staff were welcoming and the villa was beautiful, clean and very spacious.

The villa was big and spacious, the pool was awesome, quite clean,

Rooms need a deeper cleaning, a pot of paint maintenance of wood and outside cushions.

My partner and I booked through travel and cruise Lismore to stay for  four nights at this location and were so disappointed with the condition of our room we had to pay to upgrade to a cleaner and better kept room.

The housekeeping closes at 10pm and if u ask for anything after that, sorry too bad.

One day the cleaners turned off our air conditioning and we got back to the room and the floor and all of our stuff was soaking wet from the quick change in temperature from cold to hot.

Perhaps, if there is an area for betterment then attention should be accorded to the room cleaning service as replenishment of toiletries kept being omitted.

I did have to call housekeeping prior leaving for breakfast to make sure my room was done.

Room cleaning often took an hour and was at 3-4 pm when we would have liked a restful time by ourselves.

Management of the staff was non existent during our 2 week stay which reflects in the poor standard of cleaning in the rooms.

Rude staff, scruffy facilities, villa could have been cleaner.

The servicing was excellent-the only negative I can find is that our pool was not cleaned every day.

Besides the cleaners ringing the doorbell so often until we'd open up and personally tell them we were still occupying the room, we were actually rung for more trivial things, so at some point we unplugged the phone.

We went to santi mandala resort thinking that it will be infested with mosquitos because the hit is above a pond.

You don't even have to worry about mosquito's because on every bed they have musquito nets.

We did have some mosquitos in the bathroom occasionally,

The doors need to be sealed a bit better to the villa to stop the mosquitos getting into the room.

With nature and water around you, there are a lot of bugs and mosquitoes.

The severely torn extra beds did not have a mosquito net and after the first night of our son getting bitten rather severely, we had to share beds anyway.

but the floors shouldn't squeak, the aircon should be efficient and the mozzie nets should fit the beds.

5. lots of mosquitoes and only 1 mosquito  machine for the whole villa which doesnt work properly so we had to buy some coils and burn them in the kitchen/bathroom/pool area.

Also, you are staying in a forest like environment so expect Geckos & mozzies.

We arrived and were shown to our dated room to find a fridge so badly built up with ice that it wouldn't shut,  a filthy mosquito net around the bed and incredibly moldy mattress on the day bed.

Also, make sure you have mosquito repellent and bug spray.

I would have thought there would have been more Mosquitos

If there is any shortcomings at all it is the lack of power points in the room to charge your various devices as the only free outlet is used for an electric mosquito repellent device.

We had quite a bit of room service as there were mosquitoes in the open air restaurant at night.

When you want to take a bath or have to go to the toilet in the evening you get attacked by at least 10 mosquito's since the location is next to rivers and rice paddys.

As a result I did not sleep very well as my room was never secure and made double sure that the mosquito net was definitely in place as mosquitoes were able to enter freely.

The mozzies had a field day with me - don't forget the repelent!

The service is outstanding and the restaurant food and service is actually 5 star!

Restaurant was really good, service exceptional.

Quiet room, delicious food, lots of choice and time of day, wonderful and friendly staff.

So beautiful, the grounds the staff the food everything's 5 star.

We did the cooking class which involved an experience at the markets and then cooking a three course meal by the pool and then eating it in the restaurant.

Thank you to all the amazing staff especially Aye in the restaurant.

The on-site restaurant has a decent selection of dishes and have themed buffet nights with traditional Balinese dancers and music.

We have used the pool every day and had lunch there today and were the only people there.

Dinner at the restaurant was great, breakfast was lovely, and the main pool was fantastic and beautiful.

The staff in the restaurant and reception were lovely.

The food in the restaurant was plentiful,  delicious and moderately priced.

but if you prefer there is a menu for what you would like cooked, its up to the individual .All other meals were tasty, light lunch or dinner at night.There is a swim up bar, all you have to do to order, is use the phone available and call reception.

We dined in the restaurant on 2 evenings both times the food was delicious with wonderful service.

We planned to stay here for a few days prior to travelling the rest of Bali, so we could just relax by the pool, have massages and just chill after a long two years of pandemic stress.
