Have just returned from a trip to Australia/Bali via Bangkok and having stayed in top class establishments we were looking forward to our 5 nts  at the Quay West Suites.

We ventured to the zoo and it was a breeze even with small children. The hotel rooms we chose had two bathrooms and two bedrooms, were extremely roomy and had a bath (necessary with littlies!)

10mins walk to The rocks market and shopping areas
20mins walk to Darling Harbour shopping and restaurants with whale watching pickups
15mins walk to Circular Quay where you access all the ferries to the likes of Manly and Watson’s Bay
15mins walk to the centre of Sydney’s shopping Area
40mins taxi ride to Sydney Airport about 65-70 dollars
Taronga Zoo 15mins walk 15mins ferry ride.

We were about to purchase Opal Cards for use of the ferry, bus, and subway/train for all of your trips (zoo, aquarium, wax museum, IMAX theater, & Skytower).

The hotel is really close to circular quay and jumping on a ferry to Luna Park or Taronga Zoo was really easy.

So convenient to everything, an easy walk down to the quay where you can wander down to the Opera House or hop on a cruise out into the harbour, takes you over to Taronga Zoo and/or Luna Park.

It is a 10 minute walk to the Harbor where all of the shops and restaurants are as well as the indoor zoo and the marine park.

It is close to circular quay and we were able ot easily get ot the zoo and luna park as well as darling harbour by ferry.

We took a trip to the zoo which is well worth a visit.

Great for traveling with kids, breakfast, valet parking and zoo entrance included.

Deal we had included a family pass to Taronga Zoo which was great for kids.

We had a harbour facing room on one of the ends which also gave us a view over Darling Harbour great for watching the sunset,room had clear views of the rocks, harbour bridge, opera house, ferry wharf and out towards Targona Zoo and towards the end.

This package included two nights accommodation, a Zoo pass, and breakfasts for all four of us.

So handy to the ferry to the Zoo, the CBD etc.

Only a short walk to Circular Quay and Wynyard Station so it was really easy to get to anywhere within Sydney including Taronga Zoo.

We had our 2 1/2 year old son in tow for a short city break to see Taronga Zoo, the Aquarium and other parts of Sydney.

for information on zoo opening times,  restaurant options, etc.

For $349 (2 night minimum) it includes a 1 bedroom city view suite, buffet breakfast for 2 adult/2 kids (value $120 per day and it is a really nice buffet), family pass to the Taronga Zoo ($128) and valet parking.

Good option for family, convenient location to all the downtown sights - Rocks, Harbour Quay, Opera, ferries to Zoo, Manly and other northern beaches.

We stayed in one bedroom apartment & absolutely loved it.

We booked a one bedroom apartment with harbour view and we were not disappointed, the view was amazing.

We recently stayed at one of their 2 bedroom apartments, and if we could, we'd give it  6 stars!

The 2 bedroom apartments are perfect for couple travelling together.

We were in a spacious one bedroom apartment on the 23rd floor with a separate kitchen and living room.

I got the 1 Bedroom apartment with city views.

The 1 bedroom apartment with sofa was large enough and functioned well.

We booked a one bedroom apartment with harbour view for 4 nights and the view was absolutely spectacular.

I was lucky to be put in a refurbished 1 bedroom apartment and it was fanatastic.

We stayed in a refurbished 2 bedroom apartment, where not only were the windows wonderfully large,but you could open them!

We had 3 x 1 bedroom apartments and enjoyed the facilities on offer, the apartments were clean and spacious, the staff were exceptional and the dining experience was great.

Total Room size for suites, which include bedroom, lounge/dining/study, kitchen, laundry and bathroom is huge compared to similar quality and higher priced hotels nearby.

Rooms are well appointed  with there own laundry and kitchen.

Would recommend also if wanting full kitchen and in room laundry facility on a longer stay.

They are spacious, clean, well appointed, modern bathrooms with a shower and bath, full kitchen, laundry, large lounge dining room.

but clean, comfortable and had everything we needed inc a laundry.

The rooms are fabulously appointed (penthouse aside) with marble bathrooms, super comfy king size beds and everything you could need in the kitchen, plus a laundry with washing machine and drier.

I had a one bed apartment in SYD last weekend - it had a separtate kitchen, laundry and bathroom.

It had a full kitchen and laundry and a good size lounge/dining room.

Coffee here was also good, and with comfy beds, attentive service and full lounge, kitchen and laundry- resulted in a very pleasant stay!

The apartment is  serviced daily, has lounge bedroom kitchen and laundry and bathroom of course.

A nice bedroom with a large wardrobe, a good sized bathroom with shower and separate bath, a lounge/sitting area with a comfortable sofa and large TV, a well equipped kitchen with a microwave and oven and a small laundry with washing machine and dryer.

but can be very expensive and prices appeared to change daily.

but that was the only positive the room was run down, tattered carpet, dated furniture and was a low level just above a patio that was under construction just very basic and not good enough for the price we paid.

We did not see water listed  on the mini bar price list.

The rooms were expensive and we stayed here twice in a matter of weeks, so we should have been considered loyal customers.

Ended up using my iPhone data which, seeing the hotel is quite expensive, wasn’t good enough

Only one cup of tea/coffee was included in the price which was somewhat mean.

Gold class George St cinema not great and overpriced, unclean and food a waste of money.

However for the price, too many small problems and inconveniences downgraded review to 3 stars.

I wasn't not happy at this point as I paid a lot for this room and I was expecting high quality.

We had a harbour view one bedroom apartment, the place was huge for the amount it costs per night, especially given the view also, we could clearly see both the harbour bridge, the opera house and luna park.

Paid over $600 to stay here and we were not even notified that the pool, spa & gym were not available until we arrived.

Parking in the Wilson car parking at the motel turned out to be very pricey.

We are not getting paid to stay there (its her job, not ours) so there is no reason why we should be expected to put up with this noise.

Too many people and people that don't pay attention to the signs around with limits.

Reception was apologetic and refunded me the amount i had already paid.

Parking is $60 for 24hrs which is fairly expensive

The rooms are very expensive, so I expect more.

but the price we paid was significantly less than rooms at the the Shangri-la and Four seasons.

Large apartment with sitting room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and utility.

We landed on an early flight, and they made such an effort to have our room ready earlier than normal check in.

Room was well presented with hood bath accessories and very clean.

We stayed at the Sebel for 2 nights in a 2 bedroom harbor view room.

Worked out far cheapr than booking 2 hotel rooms for the 3 of us, and so much better than we expected - the luxury of a hotel and the flexibility of an apartment.

We could have just booked a city view room for much less.

I booked a mid week stay for my family in the school holidays in a non refurbished room

Rooms modern, clean and well equipped, hotels facilities like pool and bar - very nice.

The room was nicer as it had recently been renovated, new kitchen bench, paint job, new furniture.

12pm and our bags as promised were in our room on arrival.

The rooms are really comfortable and very well equipped.

The room was great, with comfy beds and good internet.

Spacious room with a good sized kitchen and advantage of clothes washing facilities.

Every staff member we interacted with was lovely and the rooms spacious, clean and clean,,,The position close to everything meant I could make short walks to enjoy some air and enjoy the sights and interests.

though the room was well appointed and nice enough I didn't really feel like they made much of an effort to make our stay stand out at all.

It was well serviced and cleaned by very friendly staff.

The staff is great - very helpful (shout out to Esra, who got me a coffee while we waited for ten minutes for our very early check in).

Firstly the lovely girl at the desk who greeted us, Tracey, was so friendly and warm which was such a contrast to the hostile staff at the Shangri-La.

Very friendly staff and Alex, the concierge was terrific, ever so helpful.

We stayed in a 2 bed harbour view suite for 3 nights while exploring Sydney.

Suite was nice and spacious, comfortable king bed, great shower, comfortable couch and great views of the Harbour Bridge and Barangaroo.

Had a wonderful stay in a suite overlooking the harbor.

Excellent location and the views from the suite was amazing with both harbor bridge and the opera house on one frame.

There is 3 bedrooms each with a king size bed, wall TV and the spacious master bedroom also has an immediate outlook on the harbour and large ensuite featuring an oval spa bath.

though their numbers seem to have been reduced drastically), and the view from the suite is to die for.

We stayed in 2 different a 1-bedroom Harbour view suites in July 2018 for a total of 6 nights.

The harbour view suites seem to get good reviews

I booked a Harbour view suite and certainly had expectations after looking at the website images.

We had amazing views of Opera House, the Rocks, and the Sydney Bridge from the Harbor View suite.

If you get a chance ask for  a suite overlooking the harbour which are generally 4 or 7 on each floor.

If you have a harbour view suite the views are amazing.

This hotel is in a great location and if you go for a grand harbour view suite you get fabulous views.

If you book a harbour view suite the views are amazing encompassing the harbour bridge, the harbour and the opera house.

the views from the two bedroom sea view apartment are wonderful.

We had a harbour view 2 bedroom apartment and could not have been happier.

We spent three nights in a suite overlooking the harbour.

The wifi here is very unreliable and would not be suitable for anyone trying to work from here.

The only downside was the patchy wifi, it was either slow or couldnt connect at all!

WiFi weak - big problem when planning things in a foreign country!

but could connect me to their vendor for trouble shooting.

The only problem was that we would lose the internet connection frequently.

Needs improvement: WiFi barely worked, a big problem when traveling; rooms need new carpet and paint - not keeping up an excellent property; small gym OK

TV reception is the one let down with the signal dropping out constantly.

Hotel does not offer free wifi, it was $10 for 24hrs.

I mean in 2018 and have to pay for internet in your room is unacceptable for a “5 star” hotel.

The WiFi was plentiful and free for up to 5 people so the teens did not complain.

The big downside is the lack of free wifi which is ridiculous when you pay this amount of money to stay.

My only complaint is that you have to pay for WiFi.

The carpet really needed replacing and the property still charges for internet which is quite unacceptable.

The only slight negative is I think $10 for Internet usage is crazy when you are already paying a lot for the room.

We were also shocked to find that wi-fi costs weren't included and unless we signed up to the loyalty scheme would cost an additional $10 dollars per day.

Also the internet is decent and was free (not sure if this was because I am an Accor Club member)

We were just not really happy with WiFi, which comes at additional cost and is limited to the use of three electronic devices.

The location was excellent with North Sydney station a very short walk from the hotel.We enjoyed a day trip to the Zoo, walked to the Kirribilli Club for dinner, and caught a train to the city.

This is a great location to stay at while discovering and visiting Sydney with Lunar Park, Darling Harbour, Taronga Zoo, ect - all an easy access.

We have utilised the Romance Package, The Luna Park Package, The Zoo Package, and this stay was from a purchase on Travel Auction.

Next time will pre book Taronga Zoo package.

My pet and I enjoyed our stay at this lovely hotel, which is a few minutes away from Luna Park and Bay view.

The cost compared to anything else with a Sydney harbour view is just not available on the city side of the harbour.

The Harbour View is in an excellent location with beautiful views of the harbour and only 50m from North Sydney train station  and a lovely walk from the ferry.

We loved our view of shores of Lavender Bay, Milsons Point, North Sydney neighborhood, and the amazing Sydney Harbor Bridge.

And personally I have liked the outside lounge for relaxing  towards harbour view!

Good location for access to North Sydney business area and nice views of Harbour Bridge from outside reception.

Our room was on the 11 th floor, the views looking towards the harbour bridge were breathtaking, stunning at sunset and wonderful at night.

but good.Our hotel room was high floor which I had requested  with a harbour view which was amazing.Even from the glass fronted bathroom you get a view of the harbour, sounds weird but was awesome.

Nice to stay in an old fashioned (but up-to-date) hotel in the centre of North Sydney with stunning harbour views.

The superior harbour view room had a spectacular view of the Harbour Bridge.

Its a great view of the Harbour bridge especially when Vivid is on, so central to everything right on north Sydney station

Awesome view of the Harbour, a great spacious room, friendly staff, a fabulous location and very comfy beds👏👏 After cruising the harbour watching Vivid we were able to continue watching the fabulous light show from our room.

Kinda wanted to give The View only One Star as I think it's one of Sydney's best kept secrets with what is undoubtedly one of the best views from their harbour facing rooms.

The access to public transport, with the North Sydney railway station next door ,was just what we were looking for.

The room was great, incredible view, fantastic shower, super comfy bed, public transport on the door step, very helpful staff, we had a lovely visit form the local rainbow lorikeets which were eating out of our hands at the window, we will be back for sure

The location (and views) are excellent - easy access to public transport, and a lovely walk down to the harbour.

With great access to public transport we just leave the car, catch a train or walk.
