The staff were all very nice, efficient, and helped arrange airport pick up and drop off.

What really made the trip extra special and relaxing were the staff, from Gede who met us at the airport and sent us there on departure, Agus who gave us a lift to Ubud central, the reception and restaurant staff , housekeeping, they were all very helpful and genuinely friendly and made us feel welcome.

Upon exiting airport i was greeted by Gede, he was very nice and professional and was always willing to help with whatever was needed.

We just arrive from the airport and the massage by ms dewi and ms liana was very good and relaxing.

Sanctoo Suites and Villa is a one hour drive away from Ngurah Rai International Airport, and a mere 20 minutes drive from Ubud.

First we were met by Putu, our kind and very knowledgeable driver who picked us up from the airport.

Agus, the driver who picked us and sent us to the airport was friendly and generous in sharing his local knowledge.

But when i stepped in Ngurah Rai Airport, all my anxious was melted away with the warmly greeted and politeness by Mr Agus.

With a luxury car that picks us up at the airport, it provides its own comfort in our 
journey from the airport to the hotel.

Was given a complimentary transport back to the airport.

They pick us up from airport to villa, check in was fast, explain the whole villa to us clearly.

As we booked directly from their website, our package included return airport transfers which were really useful and saved us the hassle of arranging our own.

This hotel is have a perfect location on the heart of Gianyar Regency, estimated 1 hour from Ngurah rai international airport and have strategic location for retreat.

It was only about 45 minutes from the airport as well (traffic wasn't bad when we went), so that was also a plus as we were headed there upon departure.

Overall, we would definitely recommend Sanctoo suites and villas, especially if you’re planning to visit Bali Zoo. We will be back :)

Me, My Wife and our Son Liam had our most amazing family time together and discovered the most exciting adventures in Bali Zoo with some of the exotic creatures and animals over there.

We also loved the fact that we were minutes away from Bali Zoo and can actually hear the lions roaring and the monkeys howling from the Sanctoo lobby.

We love the flexibility of visit to Bali zoo which was the highlight of my daughter’s stay in Sanctoo.

Only 3mins walking distance to Bali Zoo, which is super convenience.

We can go to Bali Zoo as many times as we want during our stay.

Bali zoo is one of the most pleasant zoo we have visited around the world.

Our package included breakfast and free admission to the Bali Zoo which is adjacent to the hotel and can be reached within a few steps.

We had a pleasant stay in Sanctoo.. Everything was great, the room was big, the environment was so nice and we could go to the bali zoo without any additional cost..

I stayed on weekday, the reason i choosen this hotel because we got unlimited access to Bali Zoo..

We had no fridge to keep things cold  during our stay (5 nights) we were advised of this on this on check in, with staff stating that the fridge looking thing did not keep things cold and to use the fridge in the hotel kitchen (on our last night we realised that the was actually a fridge

but until 6.30PM the room key was still not delivered while my children were already cold swimming.

Breakfast is very limited, 1 hot and 1 cold drink included.

but none the less they were cold and extremely refreshing after a long flight.

And it arrived cold, no salt and pepper, no milk for tea,soggy bread, the bacon was just a couple of strips of fat and inedible,
Breakfast in the restaurant was disappointing too.

You move the controls a bit it becomes either too hot or too cold.

Having meals delivered to the room cost an extra 150,000 IDR, where as in all other places we stayed this was free, and when the meals did arrive they were cold and overall not very nice.

Whenever we ordered room service, it would arrive in 2 deliveries, always cold, for one of our dinners our food arrived and our cutlerly was not delivered until 15 mins later, for what we were paying we felt this was ridiculous.

We stayed for 2 nights with 2 kids (14 & 4 yrs old), eventhough we had extra bed for the older kid, our 4 year still got charged  Rp.

The shuttle service to Ubud Town is not ideal, only one car to town at 9am and return at 6pm so have to spend entire day in the ubud town if shuttle service is to be used and if you want to come go later or come back earlier it is 250,000 Indonesian Rupiah charge.

but they dont do it anymore but you can still have breakfast served to your villa with additional charges.

When checked out they give member card for us that give 10 % disc when book from their website.

They agreed to not charge me the third villa,

The food is terrible especially considering how much they charge you.

We were lucky enough to score a room here when they were charging promotional prices.

Bottom line; they still have a long way to go to be a proper Bali destination and be able to charge accordingly.

even though the manager confirmed, (2) charged 150k for a motorbike that actually belonged to an employee - she rode it over and gave it to us with the tank half empty.

One of the best parts is when the staff greeted us by name before we step into the lobby during midnight on the first day, and to receive a handwritten card with well-wishes from Wayan (General Manager).

but we were here 5 nights and found it all to be quite tasty and acceptable.

Big shout out to Mia and Ari in the restaurant for making this trip so special for us.

The restaurant had a varied menu with many Indonesian and western options - all of which that we tried were great.

Every morning we were greeted very well in the restaurant where we had our delicious breakfast, the staff very friendly to our son and always provide us with care and smiles.

The food was good, the only thing I would like to recommend was so alternative milk option for breakfast or smoothies (as we have a milk allergy)  .

Sanctoo suites and villa offered great views and efficient staffs along with exquisite Balinese food to western dishes.

The hotel restaurant serves fantastic food at a very reasonable price for a 5 star property.

Breakfast is okay in variety and quality of the food

we had dinner at the restaurant with yummy food and friendly service.

but it was delicious and we can request vegetarian menu for our kids, Free foto session are great and last not the least staff are very friendly and helpful

During birthday celebration at their restaurant was also amazing.

The spa is brilliant, next to a waterfall and all the staff seemed very capable.

The spa was a very relaxing experience, my wife was pregnant during the visit and they were very courteous and adjusted treatments to make then suitable for her.

The spa is an absolute must-do, and definitely up there as one of the best spas I’ve been to.

The staff were delightful, the rooms were lovely and the spa was fantastic!!

This location, it’s staff, the spa treatments  and  villa was perfect for us!

There is also an on-site spa in the hotel that we patronised twice for massages, scub and a facial and it was extremely relaxing with the sounds of the waterfall as the treatments were administered.

Having a massage at the spa next to a waterfall was also a lovely experience.

Pretty great half open-air spa as well where you can see and hear the river gushing.

We also had a spa treatment while staying there and the spa location was breathtaking with a natural waterfall music on the background.

The most unfortunate aspect of this hotel package was that it was listed on the Luxury Escapes website.

When we arrived at the airport we were greeted really kindly and also given complentary drinks, which when listed in the description on the website, we did think it would be some form of local fresh fruit juices, something a little exotic

1) if you don't use their website for booking, you don't get access to basically all the amenities.

Lastly, before arriving there were many back and forth emails with the manager arguing that I didn't deserve the extra accommodations promised on the website because I used booking.com

but not featured enough on their website.

Risma from from FO department is very helpful since he picked me up from the airport untill my transfer to Kuta.

I Made picked us up from our airport hotel and also took us on a tour in and around Ubud.

We requested for an airport pick up (at an additional fee) and our driver was very punctual and friendly.

This is around ~60-70 minutes away from the Denpasar Airport.

Note:
- One hour journey from the airport & Kuta Town
- 1 hour drive to Tanah Lot from Santi Mandala Villa
- Less than an hour to Volcano sites.

Santi Mandala was great, they picked us up from the airport no probs, we stayed in a luxury private villa with its own pool.

Pros: Bagoos the driver who picked me up from the airport at night and got me safely to ubud.

The location is about a 45 minute drive from the airport, and they offer a free shuttle service to Ubud which takes about 15 minutes.

GREAT STAFF, amazing spa, lovely transfers from airport.

We asked for him again & got dropped off to the airport as well.

You can have him for half a day for the cost of the 20 minute taxi ride we took from our place to Sydney airport!

We had our own private pool and outside bed for relaxing.

The hotel provides many various activities such as cooking, wood carving and silversmith classes, where my wife made a bracelet, whilst the spa facilities near a waterfall all add to the tranquil ambiance.

We've had a pretty hectic year and wanted somewhere to relax and unwind yet with close proximity to attractions if required.

However, once we arrived I was put at ease by how beautiful and peaceful everything there was.

The property calls itself a quiet and serene retreat.

The grounds and surrounding environment were delightfully relaxing.

Would reccomend the massage services set in a villa near their waterful, so very peaceful, I didn't want to leave the villa.

The service was incredible, and the resort nested above the river allows you to feel so relaxed.

Nestled half hour from Ubud surrounded by rice fields was a serene place to stay.

This is the perfect place to stay if you are wanting to relax and unwind!

Travelling with my daughter, and it has been so beautiful, relaxing and peaceful.

Its is very beautiful and good for relaxing.

The one-hour massage at the spa was just the perfect end to a very relaxing stay in paradise.

The resort is all about rest and relaxation so if you need calm, pick this space.

The location is secluded and peaceful, the view is also amazing.

We left early in the end due to all the fires around the villa, the smoke was dreadful, it was so bad it was making our eyes water and the children were coughing.

My only gripe would be that the tiles around the pool at our villa are very slippery when wet which could lead to some nasty falls.

butter, it had a foul odor, so we suspect it might had been expired and raise concern to the staff.

However we found the rooms tired and slightly musty, the outdoor bathroom completely impractical as it's part of the entrance and not very nice and the restaurant below par (being far from town where there are so many excellent eateries, this was a huge disappointment).

The main pool only had three sun umbrellas so if you didn't get one of those then you had to burn.

Then the back side opens to other greener portion, there is another bed and chair / table to relax and smoke.

5. lots of mosquitoes and only 1 mosquito  machine for the whole villa which doesnt work properly so we had to buy some coils and burn them in the kitchen/bathroom/pool area.

We arrived and were shown to our dated room to find a fridge so badly built up with ice that it wouldn't shut,  a filthy mosquito net around the bed and incredibly moldy mattress on the day bed.

The room freshener also failed to mask the stench

Our package included spa and dinner.

I wish i'd spent more time here and less time in smelly, busy areas of Bali.

if the filth,pollution and sidewalks of Ubud don't get you or your children it is likely the hotel will as they don't believe in safety and guide rails.

The first night we lived in family garden villa and my father felt not comfortable with the smell, we feedback to receptionist in next day morning.

Also, I thought the scent of the wood material used to build the bedroom was too strong for me, maybe because the villa had not been occupied for quite some time.

We planned to stay here for a few days prior to travelling the rest of Bali, so we could just relax by the pool, have massages and just chill after a long two years of pandemic stress.

The spa had many different treatments, from hot stones to Thai and Balinese massages as well as manicures and pedicures.

On-site is a spa that’s fabulous (more expensive than in town. But very skilled therapists.)

I also went three times to the spa, and it was lovely.

Spa staff are quite pushy and sometimes disturb you during your meal to try and sell you treatments.

We paid $126 for a massage for both of us which was almost 6 x the amount you would pay anywhere else.

The food was nice and there was a decent selection and the price was ok.
the spa was too expensive so we had massage in Ubud.

Tey have used the natural landscape to it's full advantage with yoga platforms in the privacy of the creek area, and spa setting privately tucked along the bank line.

Good food , great pool and spa facilities too.

If you are interested in a totally relaxed time, this villa and spa resort are perfect.

The Spa was wonderful and the staff were cheerful and friendly.

And the last day an excellent massage in the Spa.

but they do have a free shuttle bus into ubud centre.

Stay was simply a magical experience surrounded by nature and water it's just an unbelievable paradise free shuttle into ubud centre around 20 minutes.

Located in Sukawati, it is about a 20 minute drive to Ubud.

We used the free shuttle bus which departs every 2 hours from 10:00 to 16:00 with an additional trip at 21:00 for those wanting dinner in Ubud central.

The shuttle was perfect and easy, took between 15-35min depending on traffic (which is crazy everywhere in Bali) and Ubud was so so fun and interesting.

Thankfully for us yet again Vdik went out of his way to organise transport for us to go into ubud on the evenings.

Ayu was very helpful in our stay.There is a shuttle bus available to take you to Ubud, which we used and it was very handy .

It is very close to Ubud so there is still lots to do!

Air conditioned room making it very comfortable after a full day out exploring the beautiful Ubud area.

They do provide free shuttle to the ubud center during the day,

Great staff, a lovely resort swimming pool, gardens, waterfall and the complimentary shuttle to the heart of Ubud were all appreciated.

In the middle of Ubud‘s jungle we found this beautiful piece of paradise.

To be honest we were glad to get away from there and have a holiday that we appreciated in Ubud and other areas of Bali (where my card worked with no problems).

I would definitely Recommend going into Ubud town and getting one there for $8 Aus.

However, Ubud central is only about 15 minutes away by cab and the selections in town were numerous.

Santi Mandala is set in a beautiful lush garden setting along a river in the vibrant town of Ubud.

On a personal note I would like to thank Mr. Dewautara and his staff for their assistance and support during our stay ….due to a fall in the town of Ubud….resulting a number of trips to the hospital. Thankyou
