Arrived at the bus station to find this hotel a 5 minute walk away.

The hotel is located near city centre as well as train / bus station.

The train and bus station are also a short walk away.

The hotel is perfectly located close to the rail station and bus station, where you can take train or bus to majority of the cities in Italy.

Very central hotel very close to all amenities including a 7min walk tot he train and bus station.

Location is excellent , 4 minute walk from train/ bus station and less then 15 minutes walk to the funicular to Città Alta

Mercure has excellent location a short walk from traoin/bus station.

The bus station is the major link to the Bergamo Airport, with regular services both to the airport and the Citte Alto, just out of the new Bergamo city.

We stayed at the Palazzo Dolci 12th to the 14th Feb.
Great place great stuff and excellent service 
Breakfast was also excellent.with a wide selection from English to continental, also it is very close to the bus station on two minute walk

This hotel is a short walk to the bus station which connects bergamo airport.

You can get a bus to and from the airport from the Bus station and the journey only takes about 20 minutes.

It is very near the airport bus stop AND just a short walk to the bus station.

This hotel is in a excellent location just 200 yards from Railway Station and Bus Station where the Airport Bus stops.

A Mercure city hotel near to everywear,train station,bus station,city center,funicolare to alta citta,all the points of interest is 05-10-15 maximum minutes walking distance.A lot of food choices near 2-3 minutes.Like a hotel is a little bit tired 

Rooms were ,well roomy and tidy and very clean ,soft drinks in mini bar complementary / replaced daily.

Good location, good staff, clean rooms, big western style bathroom.

Very pleased with this hotel, our room was modern, very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed.

Bed and linens feel incredibly fresh, clean, and new with a whole set of extra-soft pillows.

The bathroom was an exception in 'hotel world' standard, it was beautiful, spacious and clean with a great shower.

The room was very comfortable and clean and serviced daily

Aside from that the actual room seemed quite clean.

The room was clean and tasteful , reception was friendly and helpful.

The rooms are well kept and clean with fair sized bathroom.

The main hallway carpet was in need of a good clean.

The rooms have a good size and the bathroom is clean.

We had the worst nights sleep of our lives on extremely hard beds, we requested extra pillows from Reception and were delivered two stained pillows (there were quite a few dark brown patches) that we then had to put into the pillowcases.

but this is only my personal opinion,  not enough lighting for working or reading after dark.

The rooms might need a little updating as the blue walls leave the rooms a little dark.

We had room 104 on the first floor and it was rather dark (walls are painted dark blue).

however the room we had was seemed to be very dark and painted a very dark blue.

The bathroom was very dark and outdated also.

Even with every single lamp switched on,  the room was still far too dark and dingy.

however, was small and dark, made so by the one small window, the darkish blue paint, and the absence of any effective lighting.

but the room had no soul and was quite dark, despite being on the last floor.

We had a standard room, rather small, very dark blue painted walls, which made the room look dark and not welcoming.

Besides that, the rooms are dark  and awfully designed.

The uninspired dark colored rooms and the overall dated feel doesn't make the stay a particularly cheerful experience,

My room - 416, had very small windows and therefore it was dark, made more so by the all blue walls.

On the subject of lights I found some areas of the room were too dark and I couldn't, for instance, read the instructions on using the safe because there wasn't enough light.

Good location in lower town and bus stops nearby if not want to walk.

The hotel is in a great location on the main road less than 5 minutes walk from the train station great for trips to other places and is central for everything in the city of Bergamo which is beautiful.

If you want to visit Bergamo - a town that is definitely worth a visit - this hotel is in an ideal location.

Location is great and staff was polite and that's about it.

The Mercure Hotel in Bergamo is relatively well located in the lower part of the city and is just next to the central parking garage, which is convenient if you come by car.

Location is perfect - just minutes from the funicular railway to get to the Citta Alta, with a bus stop for the airport almost right outside.

The location is very good in terms of the railway station and you can get buses to other parts of Bergamo easily from nearby.

Rooms are in poor condition - old and tired and needs a complete renovation.

the reception service was very poor , the receptionist does not seem able to accomplish her duty in line with the style of Accor.

Privilege room was very poor and not worth any extra.

however the coffee was quite poor in terms of quality.

Food - poor buffet choice very standard and breakfast - not great.

Our stay was unfortunately spoilt by poor staff and what can only be assumed as 'penny pinching' by Mercure.

The fixtures lighting were poor and we could not use the window for a little bit of natural light because it faced a back-view terrace that we had to share with another 3 rooms.

but the poor lighting could be hiding a multitude of sins.

but the carpet in the hallway leading from the lifts (there are 2) was in pretty poor condition and the walls were scuffed.

One poor man came down dead on the time breakfast finished .. And was grabbing food before it disappeared . Wrong.

The lighting is extremely poor, no ceiling lights just bedside lamps.

Breakfast is very poor and is more of hostel /motel  level, 4.

The breakfast was pretty poor, dry bread, warm milk, an inadequate selection, no fresh fruit.

Splendid rooms, spacious and well appointed.

However a phone call to the reception quickly resolved this and the receptionist brought a set of towels to our room.

Had an upper floor Privilege room which was a brilliant size and had everything we needed.

They really exceed expectations with a large, well-distributed room.

We had booked a Privilege Room and were fairly certain all the expected Prileges were never supplied.

Friendly, helpful staff,  the receptionists, dining room staff and the hospitality people.

Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable

Although busy road next to hotel, room is completely quiet I was shocked how quiet it was.

The reception area was bright and welcoming.

Reception staff really friendly and helpful.

I really want to slate this hotel because of the service we received from a particular receptionist,

It was easy to access, at check in and actually through out our stay the staff was welcoming and polite.

Reception staff were nit very knowledgeable about the local area.

Also staff were very informative and provided plenty of information.

We mentioned the paint smell to the front desk, and were very rudely received.

I have to say that staff at the reception was always very friendly and willing to help in any occasion.

Situated close to the bus and rail station, with the shops and funicular station nearby, this hotel is very convenient for the traveller and visitor.

Go straight out the front doors of the station, walk through the plaza, and go one block straight ahead.

It is easy to get to from the airport because there is a bus from the airport to the station, which is only a very short walk away.

We caught a train into Milan one afternoon which was quite easy as the station was at the end of the street about five minutes walk  from the hotel.

The Towm of Clusone is alo worth a visit .It has a market in Monday. Take tram fro Bergamo to Albino and bus to Clusone (bus ticket from Tabac outside tram station)

Location is excellent with the train and bus stations close bye and a short walk to the funicular with access to the old city.

Comfortable beds, few minutes from station, walking distance (15min) from train to upper city, we liked the rooms on backyard (although the laundry truck came 4am), wifi very good, we went for higher category with higher ceiling

Hotel is located in a very short walking distance from Bergamo station.

We were in room 208 which had a little balcony with a nice view over the Xmas markets and down the street to the station.

The best thing about this hotel is its price and proximity to the train station.

It is within a walking distance from the train station and if you choose to go by car there is a public parking available (20 euros a day) within 10 steps from the hotel.

The hotel is very close to the train station (3-4 minute walk) which was great as we went to Milan on the Saturday (50 minutes on the train direct) and Lecco, Lake Como on the Sunday (40 minutes on the train and direct again.

10-15 min walk to Funicular to Citta Alta.

but following day there was sewing kit, shaving kit, shower cap, hand cream etc which was nice

It is great for coming into the city via the airport bus as it stops nearby and it's a nice walk to the funicular.

Right in the middle of action in downtown Bergamo and not too far a walk to get the 'tram' up to the old town.

A good walk away is the Citta Alta  , old town.

The breakfast are is unwelcoming and the look of the buffet food available was enough to make me walk away and find an alternative restaurant, despite already paying for breakfast.

The hotel is in s perfect location for walking to all the sights and good restaurants within the same block.

Its 15 min walk to the funicular that takes you to the older upper district "Citta Alta".

Great location literally a 3 minute walk from train station.

Carpets are worn and stained, walls falling apart etc.

In both rooms, as well as the hallways, wear is very visible on the walls, carpets, and door frames.

but all we had was a brick wall and roof tile view.

Dull dingy room some light bulbs not working marked walls badly stained carpet .

The purple color on the walls is not the best option, the renovation will definitely comes handy.

The second thing was not really high standard of cleaning the carpet was simply dirty and there were cracks on the walls all around.

but showing signs of severe wear and tear, marked wall and carpets suffering from a lack of tlc.

The only thing we don’t like, is the blue colored walls and ceilings. everething is just too much blue :)

The walls were painted a cringing "bleu marin" 80's style with multiple patches "fixed" in a slightly different nuance.

It's obvious that the hotel needs some working ( chipped wall paint, old curtains.

Bathrooms have silver paint from mid way up the wall to the roof.

but on the other floors the walls are completely scratched by the housekeeping carts and room's doors are damaged.

Rooms are awful we were in a upgraded room and as in previous reviews the walls and ceilings were blue, bathrooms are painted silver and look like a tin can.

The blue colour of the walls makes it a bit dim inside.

The shower cabin didn't completely close and there were a few scratches/black stripes on one of the walls, which I assume were left by someone who had previously stayed in the room.

The room was very small, far too warm and where lacking real air conditioning could not be made comfortable.

Only issue in room was heating as too hot

After asking repeatedly at the front desk for relief, they finally admitted that they could not set the thermostat cooler.

Rooms are nice, just AC is sometimes tricky and loud, so it's better to switch it off during the night if you have light sleep.

The drawback is the hotel rooms are dated, and the air con is not the most effective.

We did have one issue with water leaking from the air con unit

However, the air conditioning was non existent.

Ironically it might be cooler here when it’s hotter, if you see what I mean as in the summer the aircon would be available.

No bar and non-functioning air-con bring this to three stars from four.

The heating worked only periodically: it's not funny in october.

We realize Europeans do not use as much a/c as Americans

Parking is limited and moderately accessible 2 single beds kind of stiff mattress Internet speed was slow A/C was not up to the task in summer heat

- Finally I'm not a big fan of the whole 'diarrhea-colored fake wood with fake gold-plated ornaments' concept that supposedly gives Best Western its charm,

Unfortunately there was a slightly offensive smell that hung about the room during our stay which disappeared after the aircon had been on for a few minutes.

Staff were extremely helpful and courteous, one downside is the poor air conditioning in the rooms, units are seemingly too small for the rooms.

The air conditioning in the rooms could have been better .

We stayed only one night on the way north and the location is excellent, very near to the airport and to the railway station and easily found from the motorway too.

Likewise if coming from or going to the Bergamo Airport, the bus stop for the No.

15 steps to the bus station, in the city and to/from the airport.

It's biggest attraction was location, less than 10 minutes from the station (where the airport bus also stops) and near the shops and 10 mins from the funicular.

Shops and restaurants are very close and the bus stop to the airport and the Orio centre is right outside the hotel.

had one night stay after late arrival to Bergamo airport before going to Milan next day.

Nice hotel with walking distance to the Old Bergamo and only 15 min by taxi to the airport.

My daughter and I stayed the night in Bergamo before heading to Venice  since her flight was arriving in Bergamo late and mine landed in Linate airport earlier in the afternoon.

There is a bus stop right outside the hotel which goes straight to the airport.

Easy access from airport and within walking distance of the upper and lower towns.

The bus stop for the airport bus is just outside the Hotel and that's another positive considering that the bus ticket to the airport costs only €2.30.

The airport bus (BGY) stops practically in the lobby and costs all of €2.30 !!! !

Each time I travel to Bergamo I enjoy staying in this Hotel.Friendly staff, a very good breakfast and comfortable modern rooms.Easy access from/to airport or train station.

For people coming from Bergamo airport, bus stop is 50m away from hotel.

It is also just a short taxi ride from the airport.

The bus stop is literally in front of the entrance - easy ride to Airport or Citta Alta.

What a great hotel in a fantastic location a short cab ride from the airport or a short walk from the train station or a bus to outside the hotel.
