Beautiful old museum parador in the centre of old unesco heritage Ubeda, friendly staff, a good restaurant, all created fine short stay to this nice area.

Immediately upon arrival we were greeted by a very friendly and generous staff.

Reception was very friendly and the central courtyard a great place to sit.

The reception staff, the restaurant staff, housekeeping staff were all super friendly, professional and helpful.

Wonderful service and friendly staff in all areas.

The red peppers stuffed with partridge were beautiful  efficent and friendly staff.

but not overly friendly and too welcoming.

Service was very good, particularly friendly chambermaids and reception.

Hotel was clean, staff friendly and food was great.

A slow pace of life, friendly people and a wide choice of bar/restaurant offerings make Ubeda an ideal short stay vacation.

The Ubeda Parador was a lovely place at which to stay where the service was very good and the staff extremely friendly.

We went to reception and asked if there was any A/C and they replied only the fan was working.

Guests with mobility issues should note that access to the building is via a flight of stairs and it may be wise to request a room on the ground-floor (off the central covered patio) as there is no lift to the upper-floors. Given that this is a converted historical mansion, rooms are not a standard size or shape so it's something of a lottery,

Found it hard to believe that when we requested a pot of coffee mid afternoon, we were told no, it was a cup only, no pots of coffee.

It was the only Parador out of 6 we stayed at on this trip where we were not asked what brand of gin we wanted, and our gi and tonics were brought already mixed.

I called the Parador before going there and asked about parking.

Having seen other photos perhaps we should have asked for a different room.

Our interaction with the desk clerk when we asked about the possibility of a room change fell into this category: not particularly rude or dismissive,

although let down by twin rather than double room requested.

And even if you requested a double room, they may put you in a twin without even letting you know in advance, as it happened to us.

When we arrived the desk clerk asked if we had a car and when we said "No" he was relieved.

Following street signs was impossible and signs to the parador could disappear in a flash when trying to deal with traffic and narrow streets.

When the waitress saw us she rolled her eyes and proceeded to remove all the crockery and cutlery from the table.

The notice didn't say what times the parades were being held.

Follow instead the blue sign, circuiting the outside of the city walls to “aparciamento” which is street parking near the Parador.

We had some trouble finding this Parador as the signs to it indicated "no entry" - just ignore this and drive into the traffic free square to drop off bags and then take advantage of the plentiful on street parking.

The signs pointing to the parador  comming from main road Albacete are not sufficient.

The parador is situated on the south eastern side of this medieval town, just follow the general signs for the hotels, there is only one road that leads there, its partly cobbled by the outer walls, and you'll end up in a public parking area.

The only quibble we had was that the signs to the parador were almost non existent so we had to try a couple of times to find the right road.

He insisted to remove the car, otherwise they can't guarantee that police won't give me a fine.

After many circuits of the narrow streets of the medieval part of the town, we ignored a No Entry sign and drove across a pedestrianised square to arrive outside the front door of the parador.

there is only a small sign which is easy to miss.

but unless you get within 40 feet  by walking into the square you won't see the small sign  by the entrance.

Not easy to find first time by car as signs are poor , very easy once sorted .

Unfortunately there was no warning on the website that there were major building works in the square in front of the parador and some of the surrounding roads, which made for a lot of noise.

Generally as one drives around Spain there will be signs for the nearest parador starting at about 50 kms.

The staff were helpful, and the dining very good.

The staff were very welcoming and guided us to the most important places to visit in a day. Excellent!

Room was large and comfortable and staff were all very welcoming.

I found the staff to be quite unfriendly and room amenities extremely sub standard.

Parking TIP - the parador gives very helpful directions about parking and do follow these and park in the free car park not Plaza Andalucia - you do have to disconnect the GPS to make it work

When wanting to pay and asking for the bill, the reply was: „cuatro“.

The staff, the room, the food, all incredible.

It is time for a massive revamping (staff attitude - except front desk), overall layout of common areas, breakfast, rooms, well everything really. ).

The staff warmly greeted us, collected our luggage to take to our room and then provided us the key to our room; check in went very smoothly.

One dinner at the hotel with good food and attentive service.

Their is no air conditioning so you have to open the window and church bells right out side ring LOUDLY every 15 minutes   24/7.

Dated bathroom, old (very old) mattress (we could not sleep for 3 nights), unefficient air con so we had to leave our windows opened with dozens of flies coming in as a result.

The window was very small, so there is not a lot of day light in the room.

but opening the window solves that issue.

The only issue for me was that my bedroom window was within a few feet of a bar where revilers made a great deal of noise all night long.

but with windows closed not as loud in the room.

However,  both windows were completely covered with net curtains, to prevent being overlooked across small internal courtyards.

however as it  was an inside room with no windows.

but powerful look, due to the small and barred windows on the first floor making it look somewhat like a prison (but that was the style of the time), but as soon as you enter the patio (now covered by glass roof), it immediately feels more friendly.

but it had poor light -only a prtty small window to an inner patio.

however, perhaps due to the side of the building we were on, we did not open our windows because there were pigeons just outside on the ledge.

We had a room on the first floor - fit for a princess -although in keeping with its period windows are very small.

When we entered the room there was an overwhelming fragrance that did not dissipate despite opening up the windows and door to air the place out.

but given that we had a bowl of fruit and a pastry, the charge is outrageous - the evening meal plus a bottle of very nice wine in the town's no.1 trip advisor restaurant was only 29 euros!). Happy to recommend this hotel but wanted to just give a friendly warning so you don't leave with the slightly soured taste in the mouth that we leave with this this morning :-)

As ever a beautiful hotel and mainly helpful friendly staff- a bit weird in that they closed the bar on Sunday in the afternoon

Baeza is a beautiful town with friendly vibe.

Staff were friendly and the hotel restaurant, La Pintada served delicious Andalusian food - be warn the starter was very large, so share if you want to leave room for the main course.

There's also a nice local Cafeteria and Churro Cafe on the main street as well as Casa Paco - a good place to eat with friendly staff.

Concierge kept a warm fire going in the fireplace.

Bell ringing tolerance is a necessity to stay here.

The reception area sets a nice tone, with lots of old features retained.

Finally the staff were very pleasant and not the least bothered by those who arrived early or late, had special requests, or whatever.

But once you go in through the modest  doorway set into the stone wall, the place reveals itself to be remarkably gracious and spacious.

The staff are helpful, courteous and very efficient.

Hopefully it doesn´t reflect the merveillous Andalucian smile everywhere we went.

but it certainly wasn't the case with the TRH staff, including the lovely manageress, whom all seemed to be nothing but very friendly.

Friendly reception, clean, spacious and quiet, the TRH Baeza is well located in the small town center just off one of the main plazas.

Needless to say we left as soon as possible.Baeza is a beautiful town and the people are very friendly I would certainly recommend visiting this place, As for the hotel I would not let my dog stay in this establishment.

However, be aware that the rooms facing the road outside were and probably always are very noisy.

The other issue was that the rooms where a little noisy at times.

Only some noise during daytime when the cleaning women are discussing loudly in the reception that You can hear in on the first floor.

However, stay was marred when we suffered at night from the noise of rowdy youths shouting alloud and quarrelling late at night.

Unless you want to stay awake all night avoid this Hotel.

This meant that for the 2 nights that we stayed there we were kept awake until 5 a.m. from people outside the night club which is nearby,

The only downside was the noise from the street.

This hotel would be a solid 4 stars if the wifi were better and if our room had not been over the dining room dumb waiter which made noise until wee hours of the night.

Shouting; laughing etc etc - it is so unfortunate that this spoils everyone's night sleep & perhaps will eventually destroy the tourist trade, certainly at this Hotel.

but quieter, isolated from street noise (but not from the noise from the adjacent rooms!!

But biggest problem was noise from nearby venues, struggled to get to sleep first night then kept awake most of second night.

Noise was terrible until nearly midnight.

Rooms are poorly sound proofed, doubt I would have slept was i not exhausted.

I visited in January when the hotel was very quiet and the bar was closed, this did not harm my experience at all though.

It was noisy until about 02.30 from local revellers as well as the automated gate opening & closing.

The only thing is that if you have a room overlooking this, it will be quite noisy late into the evening.

but maybe wouldn't be so great if you wanted a quiet night.

On the downside my room was small with a large double bed and a tiny wardrobe with only three coathangers,

The staff in the hotel are very polite & professional.

The peace here is such a welcome contrast to busier bustling more tourist sites in Andalusia  The staff are fab;very obliging and the restaurant surprisingly good

So they say you can sit at the reception.

The bar at one point was unstaffed as they used the barman to assist in the restaurant.

This is a beautiful little boutique hotel and the owners are very friendly.

The couple who ran the hotel were helpful and friendly.

The hotel is superbly located, the room was great, we had a nice breakfast and hosts Begona and Paco were super friendly and helpful.

The almost too friendly owner was more than helpful to the point where we switched off a bit.

She’s very warm, friendly, and welcoming.

Owners were trying their best to make our stay comfortable and we had a big room with nice decoration (big old style bed, paintings on walls etc. ).

First, the owners are very caring--providing assistance with getting to/from the private parking they arrange, offering a lovely breakfast, and even taking us on a walking tour (including a special visit to the city archive).

The owners are a nice and  chatting couple with a passion for what they do.

The owners will help you to find a parking space, to recommande the best restaurants and to give you some tips for your visit.

The owners are amazing, they gave me a lot of recommends for the places that I can visit and the food for dinner.

The couple who own the hotel couldn't have been nicer or more helpful.

There was none available so one more hour before owner took us to his private garage to give us his space.

The hotel owners were always available to help in any way they could.

but best of all is the wonderful couple and the nice atmosphere that greets you when staying in this place.

To reach hotel don't rely on satnav which probably will try to send you the wrong way down one-way streets; get close then follow signs for the hotel.

The streets are extremely narrow, one way and GPS won't work nor will Waze.

One piece of advice would be not to try to park right next to the hotel (streets are narrow and confusing and parking is scarce)

Given that it is a medieval town the streets were ultra narrow and crooked and we got lost trying to find our way  to the hotel.

While located some 100 meters from San Pablo Church, the Hotel Nueve Leyendas is not easy to find while driving through the myriad of narrow, one way streets.

Although a little hard to locate amongst the narrow streets this just adds to the authenticity of this Andulucian town.

The only thing I didn't like about the room was that the bathroom was separated from the room by means of a wood frame with windows that vibrated too much, making a lot of noise whenever opened or closed.

Minus: some small details does not live up to the expected standard, like shower curtain, heating, mix of design.

The AC was turned off for the season so we had to keep the windows open for cooling during the night.

Modern, clean and friendly hotel perfect location for walking around Ubeda.

This hotel was a good choice: centrally located, swimming pool (very important when temperature can reach 40ºC or more), friendly staff and most of all: 49Eur per day in August!

Very clean, big rooms and friendly staff which even speaks good English.

It’s decorations are hip, the music is good, and the staff are phenomenal.

All the staff were polite and helpful through our stay.

The breakfast was good and the staff always charming and helpful.

Great reception service with tips and information on local highlights.

A special thank you to Elena, the receptionist in the afternoon/ evening, she made us very welcome and is a very lovely person.

Though there is wifi throughout the hotel, the reception is best in the lounge.

The staff were very helpful especially in advising about offsite parking and obtaining bus schedules going to another Unesco World Heritage town of Baeza.

Absolutely recommended if you are looking for a neat (modern) hotel in historic Ubeda, with a nice (small) swimming pool - the staff will be happy to provide you, with no extra charge, with towels.

We could not be happier with the location and attentive personnel.

Only very minor complaint the towels were a little thin.

A few hours after our arrival, I noticed that the towel rack next to the bath tub/shower seemed to be coming unattached from the wall.

Also, the bathroom had no hooks upon which to hang towels, wash bags, etc.

I missed just a place where put the shampoo while I had a shower and a bigger body towel.
