The swimming pool is a cold on cloudy days

Sadly, as reported multiple times over the years, the water pressure is disastrous, making showers an exceptionally unpleasant experience as the surging cold water means that the water rapidly fluctuates between icy cold and scalding hot.

The shower water kept going from hot to cold during the shower.

Upon getting up we asked about the water and someone came up and turned on the tap to tell us that there was no water - then later only cold water.

Shower ran boiling hot, then cold, then hot again, then cold, then hot again, then cold.

The pool temperature was a little too cold for me to venture into,

but it was cold so I wasn't going to swim anyway.

but when you are eating cold mashed potates and gravy it just ruins the whole experience.

.it just felt "cold" with not a lot of  hustle and bustle.

Cold meats were canned spam-like, not deli style, no yogurt, hot dishes appeared to be frozen heat and serve type, like chicken nuggets, little to no choice of fresh cut fruits.

We love all customers service great .we appreciate all haile resort hawssa stuff big gratitude .from staring security to each facility we get king standard service.

Very accommodating staff and nice facilities for activity (gym, tennis, volleyball, table tennis etc), good restaurants and even free airport shuttle.

The location was so perfect with great facilities.

The veiw is spectacular with access to the lake, nice gym and plenty of space to relax.

We had a wonderful stay, thanks to the friendly staff, delicious food, and excellent facilities for children.

Pool and gym are well equipped for wellness.

A variety of activities - boat ride; miniature golf, zip line, tennis, swimming.

This is our fourth stay at the Haile and each time the service and facilities are top notch.

The room the food and all the facilities were so up to the standards and quality.

the resort  has a lot of entertainments to make visitors busy which include activities in the lake, comfortable table tennis, nice swimming pool,  well equipped gym, steam and sauna bath etc.

The service was amazing , views of Lake Hawassa relaxed me instantly, the room is spotless clean, an Spa (gym, steam room, sauna and pool) were perfect for my older bones.

I like the hospitality of the Hotel, the foods, the gardens are very good and all the workers are very professionals and friendly.

but the cloth in side the big one is hotty😊 but i like the silence of the room with the garden views the gardens are beautiful make u feel like peaceful and inhale good quality of air i love it thank u haile am proud to be ur Ethiopian🤎🤎

We had the garden view and sat out most nights with a beer and Spotify.

Both room views are very nice, thet have a very nice garden, and the lake view is also amazing.

The gardens are wonderful, with 17 species of bird counted in 12 minutes.

It was raining so we weren't able to enjoy the outdoor facilities, the gardens looked very attractive.

Our room was clean and comfortable, the restaurant offered a good choice of local and international dishes - we opted for injera and wat - and there is a nice garden bar and swimming pool.

The resort had poor standards and lacked attention to details.

Water in shower poor - either too hot or too cold and not powerful.

but they led to a level of frustration that create a poor impression of the whole hotel.

Two issues though:  soundproofing between room and between the room and the hall was quite poor.

Food and service were poor in the main restaurant.

It's a real shame the poor staff ruin the reputation of what could be a very nice resort.

Wifi / Internet connection was very poor 

Fan was not working

No menu in the room 

You can not go out of dinner after 9:00pm as you can not find a taxi outside the reosrt and the hotel did not support to get a taxi, so I was forced to have my dinner at the resort 

Asked for tooth brush and only came after a number of followups

The service was at best poor and the food only average.

I don’t blame them as wi-fi connectivity is generally poor all over Ethiopia.

Generally poor design and layout detracts from tasteful decor.

Food is the killer; an apparently inexperienced chef is attempting over ambitious dishes the results are very poor.

We enjoyed the pool and restaurant, and love the breakfast!

Unique way of cooking because the food is being cooked in the open on which I like.

The barman prepared super cocktails and also the snacks list is good.

But after we settled in our room, we'll am glad I didn't leave.

The rooms were very nice and comfortable.

The rooms are incredibly comfortable, the breakfasts are a delight, the stuffs are amazing and the view is breathtaking.

On of my favorite memory will be  the morning aroma as soon as opened the room door.

Must get a massage if you like or try the steam/sauna and take in the view by the infinity pool.

The massage session was heavenly, very experienced staff.

We enjoyed the pool and the spa a lot (steam, sauna. ).

We had a good time in haile hawassa for 6 days with the neat clean and sterilized room ,good room service, out door service and welcome facial expressions.

The shuttle was on time, the hospitality of the staffs the variety of the dishes and the facilities in the gym the spa and the swimming pool all were amazingly nice

And my special thanks to  Mesekerem, Molalgni, Yibelu all the managerial  team and kal  Kidane( coffee), Meserat ( hair dresser) and Kidist( Massage) .

We got a  massage prior to this trip and it was very relaxing and the staff were all professional.

The Haile in Hawassa is a fantastic resort, with a great location right on the lake, incredible grounds which include a very nice pool, exercise facility and spa.

The spa has masues therapists like Messi that knows exactly what she's doing.

The gym, sauna, rooms,swimming pool and play ground are very clean and inspiring.

Very reasonably priced transportation throughout town (make sure to tip the driver), and nice saunas (though the jacuzzi doesn't work), and a good gym.

The spa books up early so book a day ahead at least.

My massage was excellent and the gym is very well equipped.

Everyone is very kind and helpful, even helped us get a taxi to the monkey park and a boat ride back.

The attention to detail and the true care by each and every employee makes each guest feel welcome and at home.

I would love to mention again that the staff members were exceptional, they made our stay lovely.

Haile Resort is a haven of hospitality in Hawassa, consistently exceeding expectations with its excellent service.

Hotel has  wonderful location and gorgeous view!

The hotel makes the most of the natural beauty with outdoor seating under spreading trees and views of amazing water birds.

There was lots of choice for Breakfast and lunch & evening menu had a mix of European and local which was tasty.

You also have great time eating breakfast with "Gureza".

It was sent back with a further explanation.The same ingredient was in the second serving.

Good:  lakeside location, ambiance, resident monkeys, murky green pool water, and breakfast. 2.

and the food at the breakfast was terrific.

Excellent international breakfast buffet and overall hopspitality.

!starting from their booking to their breakfast quite the most interesting place to be at when you visit Hawassa.

The flower banquet surprise they prepared in the name of me and my wife, the exciting lake view bed room, the delicious beach side breakfast + lunch + dinner, the boat drive on the lake were really enjoyable.

It is also a bird haven as well as monkeys that you can actually feed… I had breakfast with one—literally.

I enjoyed watching the monkeys at breakfast , they are certainly very cheeky and after your food!

The breakfast buffet is average and the food quality at the restaurant is good.

A picturesque lakeside terrace with refreshment service and extensive breakfast on offer, massage, super pool, first class restaurant, efficient staff and more.

We sampled the local wines, which were surprisingly good, and there is a wide ranging menu encompassing all of those international favourites, together with Ethiopian staples which we were introduced to by some local guests – these were all delicious.

Some of the wait staff were even willing to play with our restless toddler for some time during breakfast.

Breakfast was in the dining room with conservatory style windows was poor.

Breakfast was very very poor in a small room no tea or coffee and not replenished.

It can be confusing as there is a Lewi hotel, make sure you are booked into the Lewi resort as the hotel is very poor.

It was extremely poor anytime we needed some help or information during our 6-day-stay.

Sleep quality is then more than poor, and overpriced.

Food was great, staff was very nice (with our dog as well).

Lunch/dinner food was excellent for regional Ethiopia.

We'd tried to eat lunch on the patio area by the lake.

From the food to the monkeys everything was a blessing to see!

The rules forbid you to bring food from outside as well. 3.

Our surprise on one of our visits were the salads which were really very large and could serve as a starter for more than one person.

They missed a couple so I could still see onions on the burger.

There are so many monkeys waiting to steal your bag, food (especially bananas and sugar) and keys.

Generally, the food in the restaurant was good,

They decided to close the main restaurant the first night we were there because they had a function on.The rooms are OK and the grounds are well kept.

Also, given the frequent power outages it would be a good to post the phone numbers for room service and reception inside the rooms so that guests can order dinner or communicate with the front desk via mobile phone easily.

Boat ride was also included in our room, which we really enjoyed.

The boat ride on Lake Awasa to see the hippos was unbelievable.

Other than the boat ride EVERYTHING WAS EXCELLENT!!! EVERYTHING!!!

The boat ride to see the hippos were my favorite and my only suggestion is make sure you watch out for your belongings.

It's such a relaxing resort with great amenities including a boat ride, swimming pool, and a sauna and steam room.

Lots of animals nearby with fun monkeys and a short boat ride to see hippos.

The lake side rooms, all have a view to the river just vary in level… The staff are amazing, spa was off the chain, the boat ride was hella fun and did I mention the food??

Boat rides on the lake are also offered for a fee or can be included in the package.

After breakfast we went for the boat ride which was included in the room price.

We also enjoyed the short complementary boat ride on the lake - gorgeous!

The hotel is overlooking Lake Awassa, you can take a one hour boat ride and see the hippos.

I would advise all of you to have dinner in the cultural restaurant in the compound and take a boat ride on the lake.

The boat ride was great for fisherman photo's and the children would come out into the water and would dance.

The bungalow was perfect, the food was good and the boat ride on the lake was a great time with friends!

Nice destination to refresh, enjoy the quality services and the breeze of L.Hawassa and boat rides.

The best aspects of the Lewi were the breakfast buffet, which was sumptuous and fresh with a mix of Ethiopian and western favorites, served at the lakeside, and the complementary boat ride to the nearby fish market where we were treated to the frenzy of yellow pelicans being fed fish.

It combines perfect service with a great resort style atmosphere that offers all inclusive package including boat ride.

The staffs are very courteous and the room is equipped with full amenity.

The hotel is fairly good, right on the water front; the rooms are well kept and clean, staff are pleasant too.

The room, well i used a third party to reserved and the manager still showed me my room and another room.

He had organized the car and a room, first in Lewi resort with beautiful view on the lake Awasa, and then Sabana beach resort at Langano lake.

The room in the Lewi Resort followed the standard design for a hotel room and was good.It had a balcony looking out on to the lake.

e.  Both rooms were infested with termites near the room's hallway entry doors.

Its as if another guest just checked out and hotel staff  didn't make sure the room was clean and organized before new customers came in.

Moreover, we faced problems with our room (Partial lake view) because there was a crack in the window and plenty of mosquitoes came in at night.

If they fix the wifi conexion inside the rooms would be great!!!

but when I saw Lewi resort I changed immediately, people are very nice, all staff gave the necessary support I request 
The room was beautiful and well-equipped, room was large with a sitting area, many choices are available.

Room .The staff at the front desk was very friendly, helpful and professional.They even gave us smill .There was plenty for everyone, I definitely would stay at this hotel again and agine  please dont be shy to stay and enjoying one night in the lewi resort.

The rooms and facilities are clean and the lake view from the room was perfect!

The city is calm, the hotel rooms were nice and clean.

They habe plenty of stsff who are very attentive to your needs.

The receptionist was really unuseful and icompetent person.

the marketing director Wube was always ready to help and so was the entire staff.

That the plumbing here was done professionally and worked well is  an accolade worth giving.

but why the reception clerk didn't put us in the nicer of the two rooms, which were the same rate per night, from the beginning is beyond me.

Luckily there are people who watch your back when it comes to the monkeys..lol I thought that was very helpful.

We were first amazed by the beauty of the resort, it was very calm, the gardens were well-maintained and the seating opportunity close to the water was breathtaking.

The charming view of the lake, swimming pool,  gym, attractive entertainment games in the weekend, tennis table, Mini Golf and boat trips in the lake and you can see Hippos as well.
