The swimming pool is a cold on cloudy days

Sadly, as reported multiple times over the years, the water pressure is disastrous, making showers an exceptionally unpleasant experience as the surging cold water means that the water rapidly fluctuates between icy cold and scalding hot.

The shower water kept going from hot to cold during the shower.

Upon getting up we asked about the water and someone came up and turned on the tap to tell us that there was no water - then later only cold water.

Shower ran boiling hot, then cold, then hot again, then cold, then hot again, then cold.

The pool temperature was a little too cold for me to venture into,

but it was cold so I wasn't going to swim anyway.

but when you are eating cold mashed potates and gravy it just ruins the whole experience.

.it just felt "cold" with not a lot of  hustle and bustle.

Cold meats were canned spam-like, not deli style, no yogurt, hot dishes appeared to be frozen heat and serve type, like chicken nuggets, little to no choice of fresh cut fruits.

The resort had poor standards and lacked attention to details.

Water in shower poor - either too hot or too cold and not powerful.

but they led to a level of frustration that create a poor impression of the whole hotel.

Two issues though:  soundproofing between room and between the room and the hall was quite poor.

Food and service were poor in the main restaurant.

It's a real shame the poor staff ruin the reputation of what could be a very nice resort.

Wifi / Internet connection was very poor

No menu in the room 

You can not go out of dinner after 9:00pm as you can not find a taxi outside the reosrt and the hotel did not support to get a taxi, so I was forced to have my dinner at the resort 

Asked for tooth brush and only came after a number of followups

The service was at best poor and the food only average.

I don’t blame them as wi-fi connectivity is generally poor all over Ethiopia.

Generally poor design and layout detracts from tasteful decor.

Food is the killer; an apparently inexperienced chef is attempting over ambitious dishes the results are very poor.

The love and respect from the staff members, the clean rooms, food was good and it is a place I choose to come back to.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the food was fantastic.

The rooms are clean quiet.I can say it’s a Best place to stay in Hawassa.

The service was amazing , views of Lake Hawassa relaxed me instantly, the room is spotless clean, an Spa (gym, steam room, sauna and pool) were perfect for my older bones.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable with more than enough room to work… and a balcony to enjoy the view from.

We met humble and smiling characters, warm and flexible treatments, clean and quite rooms and great food.

Breakfast was very very poor in a small room no tea or coffee and not replenished.

It can be confusing as there is a Lewi hotel, make sure you are booked into the Lewi resort as the hotel is very poor.

It was extremely poor anytime we needed some help or information during our 6-day-stay.

Sleep quality is then more than poor, and overpriced.

The hotel is fairly good, right on the water front; the rooms are well kept and clean, staff are pleasant too.

Its as if another guest just checked out and hotel staff  didn't make sure the room was clean and organized before new customers came in.

The hotel has everything you need, and more: clean rooms, great lake view, smily Hotel crew, good Restaurant (watch out from the monkeys!

The rooms are clean and there is a good balcony.

Everything here is great..the hotel staffs are so professional and the rooms are so neat and clean depending on the price.

The rooms were clean and I had a reasonable nights sleep.

The room was clean, beds were comfortable, bathrooms clean and functioning, and there was television.

The wood-panelled rooms were clean, good water pressure in shower, the foam mattresses were especially firm.

At USD120 a night (riverside room at $110 plus $10 for child's bed), to find the grass between our water view room and the lake hadn't been mowed, that there was broken furniture at the seating area used exclusively by the handful of lakeside rooms, and to see power points hanging out of the wall (super fun with a small child) was disappointing.

Unfortunately with my wife I spent 4 nights in this rubbish hotel , I don't have right words to describe this place so old and so dirty, terrible service terrible food and breakfast only for local people don't expect to get one cookie and if you need a glass of water they charge it.

in the water when we only were in the boat for about 15-20mins.

The water heater (feed-side) hose catastrophically failed.

There was only cold water available in the shower and anytime it was turned on, water would come from the bottom and make the whole bathroom floor wet.

Also, taking a shower was not relaxing at all as only a few drops of cold water came out.

the only thing that i don't like is the temperature of the swimming pool , maybe its because i like hot water .

Check that your hot water has been turned on as this is often turned off during the day.

The lake side view is priceless and you should watch out for surprises like water and power outages.

I was in Month of April 2015 the hotel went down instead of improving i checked in by 3pm my room was not made they check me in a darty room not only that when i complain that there is no water i ask them to bring me water to  flash the toilet they did  not i have to call two three times finally they came after 6 pm.

You will need to switch on the water heater in the bathroom if you would like hot showers.

The worst part was the bathroom which had a standalone shower, that leaked copiously and was impossible to get any hot water from.

(Of which darkened waters harbor both "hippo festival" and "hippo parliament", if you go by authorized tourist guide Tefari's description - he's a swell guy, by the way!

My colleague's water boiler exploded in the night: fortunately he was not in the bathroom!

but it's not good hotel 
There are too many  mosques and the water pressure in bathroom is not enough to clean my hands. .

The shower had various gimmicky settings which of course didn't work!

However the rooms needed some maintenance (cracked window, damaged tiles) and the shower alcove was far too complex for a low maintenance and poor power supply environment, instructions were non-existent.

The room I stayed in was dark, fly screen on the bathroom window was torn, the shower had very low pressure, the shower heads were clogged and the sliding door was broken.

but was very hot, the jacuzzi bath was broken we had a power cut and despite the website stating it had a generator it did not come on.

The showers are very outdated, and water leaks.

.the bathrooms are almost always a disaster.

We had to ask for the shower to be fixed and it took them overnight to send someone for that.

In my third room I took a shower and I had a flood in the bathroom.

The shelf in the bathroom was falling off the wall.

The bedding, the white towels (faded and appeared brownish), the shower and almost everything was old.

Then we had to complain that the toilet didn't flush

(Fortunately they placed the electrical wires away from the shower in my bathroom,

It would have been madness to have attempted to have a shower here.

however trust that the noise will soon decrease if a anti-noise-pollution-law  comes through  in Ethiopian Parliament.

but hotel has generator so we had overhead light and hot water.

Then the electricity went off and the generator did not work.

there was a constant movement in the hall way throughout the night and very disturbing.

Our main requirements were a clean room, our own facilities, flushing toilets, hot shower where possible and breakfast.

Rooms are very clean and beds comfortable.

Room is quite clean and I am personally very happy with the breakfast.

Its kind of clean and rooms are spacious, big bed with nice pillows.

The rooms are relatively clean and the beds are okay for the price you pay.

My room was spotlessly clean and the wi fi was the fastest and most consistent i encountered in ethiopia.

The room anyway was very clean and big with two large twin beds.

One does have to bear in mind the very ‘rural’ location which means that neither electricity nor water are always 100% reliable.

but most of the facilities did not work, including the hot water!

However, others in our group were in the older section of the hotel and had a very different experience, one had no hot water during our 3 night stay.

Water leaks, shower floods the whole bathroom, water that comes out of the tap is brown, and it smells.

No matter how much I ran the water, it either came out really brown, or just slightly brown,

In the morning, due to electricity, the water could not come to the higher floors and we ended up with the same problem again - We could not take a shower.

The bathrooms have this complicated enclosed shower that doesn't really work well (doors don't close completely, steam function didn't work) and I never had warm water in the AM (some did, others didn't).

And in morning no water at all and a power cut.

At first we did not have any running water in the room which was fixed immediately.

Furthermore, we had some nasty looking brown water coming out of the faucet.

The bathroom, despite its enormity and quality materials, stinks likely because of direct drains to the sewer, yet the glass shower stall does not drain properly and there always was a puddle of water outside the stall.

The window does not lock and the receptionist tells you “it’s ok”.

The window opened onto to the coridor at low level and because of that I wasn't happy to leave the window open at night due to the obvious security issues.

Also please be aware that the curtain is smaller than the window.

but then we found out that there were hundreds of mosquitos at night - we had to figure out  by ourselves how the mosquitoes entered the room and had to fix the open space between the wall and the big window.

Other people also had problems, such as doors either not locking or not unlocking, a toilet cistern that leaked so unstoppably that the bedroom floor was flooded, an inaccessible window left wide open in a room that didn't have a mosquito net etc etc.

but it was more like a “hot pocket”, if you know what that is.

Unfortunately, both times we stayed there, we all had to call room service for towels and there was no hot water for a shower (the second time we had to call the front desk to ask them to fill the water tank).

I had no hot water in my room for a large portion of my visit.

The temprature in the room was hot at night, making it difficult to get a good night sleep.

You request for tea and you get 1 (one) tea bag and a pot of hot water, essentially they are telling you no seconds or reuse the bag.

However, it is almost at the city center and there is heavy traffic around it ,

It is a little noisy in the evening due to the hustle and bustle of the city.Internet was excellent, just an inconvenience to keep on changing passwords for each device daily.

but we left after one day - couldn't bear the noise from the mosque.

The outside is very loud and there were dogs that prowled around at night barking loudly all night!

I took the room by the compound side (not by the street side) so there was no any disturbing noise.

Thankfully the room also offered a good shower, something I have come to miss from most hotels in this country,

If it wasn't for the excruciating noise, this would have been a pleasant stay.

The location is perfect, center of the city, the rooms are neat and beautiful with all accessories, thanks for the reception they are so helpful and talented.

The room is clean & most important ally the staff is friendly to guests which is much appreciated  & we enjoy your Delicious food.

It is a big hotel, I had a clean room, nice (if not the best) breakfast in the city, friendly staff (English) and a patio where you can sit and drink a nice mixed juice.

     - The standard rooms are terrible the light are not working to there full function
     - The shower room; door is broken or lost, the shower heads are not working and scales is accumulated and water is liking out from the bath room
     - The food order other orders are take too long time and sometime they confused or missed the order.

Additionally, the shower heads didn't work (not enough water pressure) so we were stuck with using the tap for a bath and the shower leaked all over the floor.

but I did not see anyone checking the water purity.

We only discovered that after the bath was filled with water.

however doesn’t have air conditioning except for a stand fan.

It has only two very small Ventleters which are no where near the standard of the room and of course the price.

with unbelievable price if you are planing to go to hawassa dont miss this because it is the one of the  blissful moment you never forget.

They have employee who does have an idea how the cash register is working and the manager isn’t responsible enough to amend the mistake that his colleagues made and make decision rather they force customer to take a mistake reciept and says that his colleague will pay it on her pocket.

The bar is very poorly stocked, with little other than whisky and acacia wine (the cheapest Ethiopian wine from the Castel group) from the carton, as sales appear to be geared to the whole bottle rather than by the glass.

Food is typical of everywhere in Ethiopia; a mix of North American fast food and Ethiopian specialities (must like spicey food). Try the injira sour bread/pancake (only in Ethiopia)

My only note is the food quality that it was not in the same level, even I have not visited the second (traditional) restaurant which probably is better.

but still well-appointed standard business room for $49.

The quiet and clean rooms and refreshing packages also comfort guests to spend more time.

Everything about this hotel is exceptional, the environment is inviting , rooms are clean with stylish and modern aesthetic.There are several options for meals one can enjoy at their Asia , Indian and local cornered restaurants.

I enjoyed every single moment when i came to hawassa for my sis wedding they have given us best service including the delicious cake and also  the room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Clean rooms with welcoming staff if u're a clean freak like some of us.

It is in the middle of the city, it is a rather small hotel and easy to protect and that must be the reason we were kicked out because the "prime minister" was coming to visit Awasa. I thought it had clean enough rooms, terrible breakfast (left-overs from yesterday), limited outside space, the best internet of all places (a 9!)

It's modern, and the standard of cleanliness in the rooms and elsewhere is exemplary.

The room is clean, shower hot, and bed comfy.

Beautiful spotless room with flat-screen tv, fridge, balcony and spa-shower.

but there was no water service in the entire hotel.

although the showers were the nicest I've seen anywhere in the world, there was no hot water in a couple of our rooms.

I slept in a spacious and clean room with hot water.

Good location nearby the lake, beautiful garden, clean rooms, friendly staff (and dog).

The bathrooms could be renovated and sometimes if there's no electricity, then there's no running water.

After a little chat  I  reserved the room.

We booked them from booking.com and a lady confirmed me 2 days before and when we get there, she just sold our room and told us its full.

Do not book this hotel and please bear in mind I have stayed here three times on business previously and expected more from them and expected much better treatment ! !

I called again a day before, and confirmed my reservations.

The room was clean and had a large bathroom, TV, wardrobe and minifridge.

Definitely a got catch if you don't want to spend too much money and get a tidy room with a nice view on the lake shore.
