This time we had an upgrade to an executive suite - these are one bedroom corner rooms with kitchen facilities and a better bathroom.

We book an Executive Suite which is generally less than an ordinary room in a 5-star hotel, and love having the laundry facilities, kitchen and a separate lounge and bedroom -- especially after a long trip.

We were upgraded to an executive suite, could not fault a single thing from beginning to end.

Ideally located on Queen Street close to Civic Theatre and Britomart,  Skybus stops right outside, friendly and helpful staff, Executive room was amazing, a few good bars around the back of the hotel, convenience store very close.

Since it sits on Queen Street, the main thoroughfare through the city, everything from restaurants to the ferry in the harbor is accessible by foot.

This hotel is in a great location just a few blocks from the harbor and close to many restaurants.

I was given a room on the 22nd floor, with wonderful views that included the harbor and Skytower.

The rooms are comfortable, the location just off Queen St which is the main shopping street just a short walk to the harbor and near Albert Park where the University is.

Also near several city bus stations, and walking distance to the harbor ferries.

It's within walking distance of a head spinning number of restaurants around the marina so you could eat a different spot every night.

This is also a short walk to the SkyTower (you can see it so it’s a great beacon for coming back too) and harbor for ferry rides.

we booked two rooms for our families for 3 nites via Travel agent in NZ , not far from the Viaduct harbor and The Sky Tower.

We found the hotel to be excellently placed for tourism in the city, close to the harbor, the art gallery and the best restaurants.

We enjoyed the location, as within a ten minute walk you could be at the harbor or enjoying a beautiful park.

There are some great restaurants right next to the hotel and it is within walking distance to the harbor area.

This hotel is conveniently centrally located near the harbor and the shopping district with many small cafes, restaurants, and grocery stores within walking distance.

You can't beat the location: only a few minutes walk to the harbor with lots of great restaurants around!

The other thing about this hotel is that it is right on Queen St. Unlike the rest of CBD Auckland Queen street empties you right onto the harbor is full of shops and groceries (remember the kitchentte?)

This hotel has a great location, within reasonable walking distance of the waterfront, on all the bus routes including the airport bus, varied restaurants and a supermarket around the corner.

There are 2 supermarkets within easy walking distance so making your own breakfast makes this accommodation cost-effective.

Many restaurant, fast food and shop nearby as well as a supermarket.

The noise from the street as a local club and supermarket attracted all the party-goers until 4.00am and was deafening - even through the shut windows!

Samantha helped me with all my annoying questions over the phone and mike was very helpful with advising me where the local supermarket was.

But about 50 meters from the hotel is a large supermarket which is convenient for getting fresh fruits, snacks or drinks of all kinds.

As we had a suite we decided to stay in and make a meal one of the nights, easy to find the ingredients as there is a Countdown supermarket a few doors away.

A supermarket (New World) is located along Queen street a few steps down towards the ferry terminals.

There are supermarkets, 24 hour department stores and coffee shops (even Indian restaurants) around this place.

Turn right and right on the side street and you have a Countdown supermarket.

There are plenty of food options around and a Countdown supermarket is within few minutes walk away.

Very quiet, clean and spacious room, well-lid, with all in-room amenities in good working condition, very friendly and helpful staff, great location, near supermarket and eateries, walking distance to wharf.

Easy to walk to ferry terminal, shops just downstairs, supermarket around the corner.

Nice hotel, a few blocks from the Ferry Building and a block from a decent city supermarket.

We were upgraded from the 2 Bedroom Apartment.

This was a perfectly good apartment in a good location.

The apartment was clean and generally quiet (it faces a car park so not much noise and likewise not much of a view).

It was great to be able to have this large apartment, with parking, and convenient enough to walk to many things.

Lovely apartment in great location, just footsteps to the restaurants and shops in Britomart, Auckland.

These are great apartments in an excellent location.

The apartment I had, was spacious and well equipped.

Booked for 2 nights the apartment penthouse  lovely big apartment, floor needs sanding as very marked  and a bit tired,  The beds were comfy staff were lovely, Had room service food was average, 2 lots of meals were sent back.

The staff are extremely efficient,  the quality and cleanliness of the apartment was exceptional.

I booked to stay at Adina Apartments about four months in advance to ensure I could get the penthouse suite as I was celebrating my 30th birthday and wanted to treat myself, as I know the penthouse gets booked fast I thought I’d be safe and book ahead.

We would recommend this apartment to future travellers.

Room was very over priced if you are charging over $400 for a one bedroom I would expect it to be updated.

Our reservation details were not clear to hotel reception staff and we were asked to pay for things that where included in our reservation

That was not the case, they charged me exactly the same amount as they would have for the penthouse and would not reduce the price for me.

though I felt the charge was a bit over the top at $30.00 per night.

If you don't have a credit card, make sure you clarify what security deposit you have to pay before you arrive.

A few issues prior to arrival like double charges and parking - other than that definitely worth looking at staying again.

Was confusing what breakfast we got and we almost got charged for it and then we hot a phone call at 11 asking why we hadn't checked out so they weren't aware of our 12pm checkout.

A short while later, when we had gone up to our room, the restaurant staff knocked on our door with an ‘anniversary dessert’ they had made up plus a hand written card.

Arrived to find lift rage as guests were not given correctly working Room cards and lifts work off the room cards.

cant get out of the carpark if you check out and give them back your room card though.

There will be a charge for car park $30 per night.

Just been contacted by the hotel - they admit there was a problem with their computer and the booking.com system BUT they have still charged us for the stay.

$800 bond needed if you dont havevs credit card!

Staff service poor, no priority for customers, cards not working properly got locked in elevator, got locked out of hotel when arriving back after drinks.

Check out was awful, it took half an hour to get a room check as we had a cash bond (customer who came 15mins after me had his room check completed first) as we handed our swipe cards back we were told to press the call bell at the parking lot gate to get let out, after sitting there for 10mins we were only let out because another customer swiped his card for us as we were holding up the line to exit.

but upon check out they tried to charge us for this!

It was the perfect location for big city holiday with the whānau.

You can see people queing at Spark while you can sit back and have a beer then casually walk the 150m?

I walked a lot during my stay and realised that it is in a very convenient spot.

You cannot get a better location to the Spark Arena, just a short walk of around 100m.

It is about 10 minute walk to Queen Street.

And had it not been for the howling wind, we could have walked to The Viaduct - a good distance.

Great location right next to the arena for an easy 2min walk back to the hotel.

There is a countdown supermarket around the corner and a great place for breakfast called Amano, everything was within a 20 minute walk, the location would probably be classed as being just on the outskirts of the tourist areas.

The Adina is about a 10-minute walk from the main waterfront area.

Explored Auckland (10 min walk to waterfront and supermarket very close), went to Devonport and had lunch.

We had a couple of meals in the cafe/restaurant and were only a short walk to the cafes/bars.

It's good for people who want to areas like Parnell (15-20 mins walk away),

Location to Spark Arena can't be faulted, it's just a short well-lit walk.

Rooms were a decent size and the double walk in shower was execellent.

Easy walk to Britomart Station and the waterfront, and lots of eating options nearby.

Conveniently located with a large countdown supermarket round the corner and a lovely brunch spot called Amano both a 5 min walk max and a 15 min walk to the quayside for restaurants and bars.

It was agreed at the door, then, that her breakfast wouldn't be charged, yet later when I went to check out, it was charged so in effect we had to ask twice that it not be even when it was promised the first time that it wouldn't be.

but when we came back in the afternoon to find that all the key cards were not working on both the doors, that was the last thing.

As the collection time had passed, we would now have to pay the doubled up express charge.

Beware of the self parking fee, each exit from the car park will be separately charged from the daily rate of $35.00 for self parking.

So she says you pay with efpos card I said my son already paid on the phone with his credit card.

A credit card security is not enough the hotel deducts $200 PER Night.

They often didn't replace the breakfast menu card.

There are very clear checks and balances ie if you dont tell them on check out the credit card provided will be charged.

The bad: They charge you a $200 hold on the room on check in, supposedly for damage to the room etc, so far they have not return this to my card and I left the room spotless.

however I was annoyed that I was charged a $10 surcharge for using my credit card without being informed.

Another guest was also querying this charge at the same time I was checking in; the lady responded saying that it’s standard at all hotels; this has not been required of me for the last 4 or 5 hotels I have stayed at and the last time it was required, it was never this high.

When the breakfast arrived the next day, the receipt showed I had been charged room service fees.

I have just received a notification that I am being charged for a no show.

We requested extra milk because I like really milky tea, and this was supplied without any questions or extra charges.

We were unable to charge back to our room as we were labelled a cash customer.

After you get a sky premier card discount and tokens it was about $180 a night everything’s handy and all that you need is at Skycity.

Room was spacious and very clean (Thank you Housekeeping team)  The staffs were friendly, approachable and very helpful.

The room was immaculately presented each day and even meeting the house staff in the corridors with their friendly "hellos was lovely too.

A friendly inviting welcome, access to extra bedding in the room, adequate elevators, a thorough system for cleaning, willing helpers at the other end of the phone -- these are the things that take what is status quo in accommodation to the next the level.

Very impressed by the professional and friendly personnel at Skycity and the rooms were very comfortable.

Had a wonderful stay at Sky city just recently food drinks and experience was fantastic, atmosphere great, had dinner at Huami, simply delicious definetly go back to Huami again, the staff were so friendly.
