Good meals both at breakfast time and at dinner - breakfast buffet and daily changes of menu at dinner time with good choice of drinks from the bar.

The town itself was very clean with a few shops and bars

which consisted of a help yourself salad bar as a starter, followed by delicious HOME MADE soup , your choice from the 2 set hot main meals  delicious and of restaurant 5 star standard with amazing flavour and presentation.

The small alcove by the first bar is very cosy and comfortable,

The town is only a very short walk away and there are cash machines, bars, cafes and supermarkets.

Comfortable room -serviced & cleaned every day,great view from balcony & St. Georgen is the ideal base, shops, bars and places of local interest to visit.

Wonderful food, help yourself salad bar, followed by soup, main course then dessert.

You help yourself to the wonderful salad bar, so can have as much as you like.

The food is excellent, lots of choice on the salad bar.

The main hotel where the restaurant and bar are situated and an annex which is only 50 meters away.

Nice bar, my friend could smoke in there, lovely outdoor pool in nice gardens.

Well stocked bar, pleasant comfortable accomodation and all rooms well appointed.

Contrary to what is stated in their brochure, the itinerary is not available upon demand and we found the head office reluctant to provide as such because customers havre complained in the past when excursions have been altered.

however we were JUST served, reluctantly I feel, in the passing(Customer care and skills - nil) They blame Eclipse for the mix up, however, on leaving the next day a basket of 14 bottles of Tilerhof house wine was distributed to the group, a bribe???

but somebody else with no early duties should be behind the bar to accommodate the 20 or so customers who were also on Xmas hols & who also wanted to stay for a drink later than 11 pm.

I was impatient to explore on my own and relieved when the guide did eventually finish.

But it was booked by head office apparently and no blame could be attributed to the drivers..
Apart from these few niggles, overall the week was brilliant and we would not hesitate to book with Leisuretime again,

I stayed at this hotel with Ogdens coaches for 7 days and the owners were very friendly  and the food was delicious, Ingrid cooks everything herself and I could not fault it at all.

This is a lovely Austrian Hotel run by Gunter and his wife Ingrid she cooks beautifully and both breakfast and dinner are excellent .

After the very filling evening meals we enjoyed some lovely walks around the village.

The food was great, with a good variety for breakfast, and a fixed evening meal.

The food was excellent, home made sauces and jams.

but the food and the ambience in the restaurant more than made up for this.

The bathroom and bedroom were light and I had a balcony - I stayed at the back of the hotel as the previous  reviews said it was quieter.

It was also mobility friendly, there was an elevator to all floors and my room had a walk-in shower.

We had a second floor room which was more than adequate apart from an ill fitting shower glass in the bathroom which let a little water out onto the tiled floor.

but could hear people leaving.Typical Austrian design - dark wood and every room different, but mine was clean, well provided with storage and adequate bathroom with excellent shower.

We were given a nice, clean twin, with a very small toilet and a separate bathroom.

Rooms are quiet and have separate WC and bathroom, which is good.

I brought my own with me and had to lean over the TV and unplug it and plug in my adaptor and hairdryer plug.

but you can borrow a hair dryer, - I  would have thought a greater risk than a kettle!

but badly in need of modernisation especially bedrooms no A/C bathroom facilities poor not even a hairdryer!

however there were no tea/coffee making facilities which was very disappointing.

Please do not use this hotel if you are trying to watch your weight!

but a bit out of date and short on facilities.

There was no safe or hairdryer in the room and tea and coffee making facilities would have been nice as they didn't want you to use your own kettle.

but Thursday night the music bar opposite had a party that went on till early hours so because we were hot in bed we left the window open!!! Mistake.

The choice was to keep the window open and be kept awake by the traffic, or close the double glazed window(which kept out most of the traffic noise,

The sheets were darned, tiles missing on bathroom floor, no air con and impossible to leave windows open due to the road works and church bell which rang between 10 and  20 times at 6 am.

The room overwhelming smelt of stale smoke even with the balcony door left open.

but if you wanted tap water you had to pay which is not good customer service.

Not cheap considering how much we paid for tour.

but no doubt the price reflects that, and Lake Attersee is a short distance away.

At dinner times, the  plated food was brought to us , usually cold and unattractive looking.

The food was lovely, fresh salads and a good variety, the set menu had good variety and choices for a 4 night stay.

The best course was the salad which was very nice.

The evening meals were basic and  obviously  made very economically.

In all fairness the food is typically Austrian,  not catered specifically to the British taste

After the sun goes down, the scenery of a lovely countryside is changing into a mystic silence, breaking down only by waves on the dark water of the See surface.

Very annoying was the fact that the senior owner was frying bacon in dark brown grease on the buffet.

There is no power socket nearby, except by plugging off the TV.

although there is also a discounted electric boat to hire €10 an hour for guests.

Ask for the wing with the elevator if you need it.

The are no elevators, so we had to make a couple of journeys with suitcases up one flight of stairs.

The effortless service is backed up by friendly staff that work hard to make it look easy.

The staff is the very nice, hospitable, friendly Stadler family with always a smile on their face!

This lakeside hotel was a pure joy, the owning family were so warm and welcoming, the pine finished rooms are comfortable and spacious and the views of Attersee were spellbinding.

This hotel could not be any better in terms of any thing, great by all means, clean , comfy,beautiful direct view on the lake, parking, wonderful breakfast and wonderful restaurant  and excellent value for money.additionally  bus stop directly behind the hotel  .I don't know what else can be said here, the family who owns and runs the place are marvelous very kind and helpful all of them.

Excellent place, excellent cook,unforgetable watter for swimmer, paradise for fishers, sailors etc.and heaven for tourist.

But communication was no problem.Our room had a good lake view and we enjoyed sitting at the balcony table sipping wine while unwinding from our tourist adventures.For the more active the hotel provides kayaks, canoes, row boats and bicycles.

Upon my arrival, my room is not yet available.

We wish a detailed driving direction could have been emailed to us prior to our arrival.

The check-in process on arrival could be better.

But the liquid soap, is located in the sink area.

Super friendly staff, well appointed rooms and the food is very very good….highly recommended.
