Breakfast are superb, with a variety of cheeses (labelled with a short description), cooked meals (eggs, bacon, etc), fine bakery, and so on.

Breakfast and dinner were really a different experience.

The breakfast buffet was varied and a daily treat, and we really enjoyed our two meals in the restaurant, The dishes with local interest were very well cooked and presented 
As is so often the case, the difference is often the human contact , and everyone we came into contact with had an excellent and friendly attitude .

Breakfast was fantastic and a huge selection of great quality.

The bedroom was clean and very comfortable, The breakfast was excellent as was the evening meal.

I can strongly recommend the Christmas package which includes a junior suite, breakfasts, Christmas eve dinner and one entry to the spa for the entire family.

The food was delicious, my husband really liked his wild boar stew.

Breakfast in a separate area included a large variety of foods -- juices, fruits, eggs, tuna fish, sausages, breads, cheeses, potatoes, coffees.

You need to have a car to go into town as there is only a small steep path (it is almost a hike) to get into town and at evening it isn’t illuminated.

but you do need a car to drive into town as the road is steep and dangerous for walking.

but you can pay 10 euro per night to have your car in their secure car park.

You will need a car to get to Vielha, there is no footpath and the distance is about 1 km on a busy road with a lot of trucks.

but to get to the start of most walks that (for instance) the Tourisme recommends you need a car, or to take a taxi, or there are local buses to some of them.

The ramp is also quite steep as you enter the lower car park by the main doors – not a problem

Steep driveways so you damage your car? No.

Odd numbered rooms 301-339 all face the car park (dull!).

The only criticism was that the car park was not adequate  - maybe because we arrived late,

The entrance driveway is down a steep slope and the front of my Sports car grounded out and nearly ripped the front spoiler off !

Having scraped my car on the way in down the very steep driveway in, we were presented with a rather featureless hotel.

The windows are tiny and the hotel resembles a prison from the outside on the Car Park side.

Last night, a Friday, until the wee hours of the morning, we heard groups of people talking, laughing, and getting in and out of their cars.

The circular dining room is fabulous to enjoy an evening meal in.

Lovely interior and beautiful round dining room with nice mountain views.

The saving grace was the dinning room, which was well heated and a warm reception from the staff.

The Parador de Vielha has an unbeatable location, as far as high on a hill at the entrance to Vielha, from which you will contemplate all the beauty of this city of the Vall d'Aran, the Hotel, a luxury for all your senses, offers impressive panoramic views of the mountains of the Catalan Pyrenees and the large gardens surrounding the lovely circular dining room.

We enjoyed our meal in the charming dining room very much.

We enjoyed dinner in their large dining room, which was not crowded with many guests.

Nevertheless, the views from the rooms, as well as both of the Dining Rooms, are quite stunning, bringing an added enjoyment to the meals.

Dinner is also good and the dining room superb.

Views from the large circular dining room are impressive – enhanced by spectacular thunderstorms on both evenings.

The dinning room has amazing views and the set meal was of a good standard with good service.

The dining room is just magnificent with large window views and excellent service.

The circular dining room adds great character to a 1970 hotel design.

The dining room takes particular advantage of this with its circular construction which means that whichever table is selected, the views remain the same.

Nothing really to complain about - great view, nice circular lounge, beautiful dining room.

During our stay there was a wedding (outside right below our balcony) that took over the dining room for the evening.

wasn’t working either in the rooms or in the large and impressive dinning room.

All in all, extremely expensive for what you get.

Was a little disappointed at the high additional cost to use the spa area, given that we had booked x4 rooms for the night, it cost us around 90 Euros to use the spa - which is excessive.

In order to get a room "with shower" and "away from the streets", we were forced to pay approximately 50% more!

You pay more than 100€ basically to sleep with the trucks going through the road next to the hotel climbing to the Vielha tunnel.

We didn’t partake in breakfast as we couldn’t justify it - it’s very expensive.

Why not reduce the size and adjust the prices accordingly?

For the price, lack of view, and aging furnishings, we would not stay here again.

I noticed that prices may go down during the week at booking.com so make sure to watch the price.

We visited 4 paradors in the region and the offered plates were almost the same and not very surprising.. the offered meals in the surrounding towns were better and much cheaper.

The disappointing aspect of this Parador was that there is a charge for the Spa, which costs Parador Amigos €22 after 3.00pm - very expensive

I don't know why they just don't include the spa in the price of the rooms so that this is no longer an issue.

even though you are staying you have to pay to use them!

And then for breakfast I just wanted a bowl of cereal and was amazed to find it was not included in the price and they charged another €18!

The spa looked good, bit a little on the small side and bathing hats and flip-flops had to be purchased as an extra on top of the entrance fee, which seemed a little  over the top in terms of costs and possibly a reason why it was empty.

It wasn't cheap at 194€ for Two nights without breakfast (breakfast was €18 each per personne).

The spa is expensive and not the largest that we have experienced .

Makes the cost of having a balcony a bit of a waste.

We chose this hotel for the spa and massages.

It's the first hotel with spa I've been in ( and I've been in many) that charge for the use of it!

The dining room is a delight for the palate with recipes from the Aran Valley cuisine, such as the Aranese pot and the wild boar, it also has a glass vault from which to contemplate the views of the valley while tasting the menu
It has a great indoor and outdoor spa with pools from which to contemplate the views and whose waters are warm to even be outside on cold days, ideal for after walks in the surrounding mountains

The other two are part of the spa and your have to pay to use them.

This review only applies to the spa as we didn´t stay in the hotel or eat in the restaurant.

Big and deep enough to properly swim, and get towels from the friendly Spa ladies.

On the plus side, the Spa is just great, as well as breakfast.

With such spectacular views, the spa is a place to spend an entire morning or afternoon.

The only negatives are that the spa is payable (prohibitively for a family of 5, rendering it unusable for us) and the food quality at dinner was really not satisfactory

There is also a small gym and spa (with jacuzzi), which we didn't use,

The rooms are very average and the spa is not worth wasting your time and money in.

The location of the parador is wonderful with a nice view towards the Vall d'Aran,  the staff was very kind, the food was delicious and the spa very comfortable.

The hotel is situated about 1km outside the town, in the middle of a hairpin bend on the road to Lleida.

Whilst we were given an upgrade to a junior suite with wonderful views of the town below and The Valley , the heating was only barely working and there was very little hot water.

Spacious rooms with balcony and beautiful views across the town of Vielha to the snowy mountains beyond where the Baqueira-Beret ski resort is located.

This large, somewhat modern parador overlooks the town of Vielha.

Viehla is a great town with lots of shops and activities.

The Parador is a few hundred feet above the town.

It would be nice if the hotel provided a minibus service to and from town.

The hotel is situated approximately 2 km out of the town centre and  you are not able to walk directly down the road to town as it is far too dangerous.Therefore a drive is required, so no drinking and driving.

I would recommend staying in a hotel in the town (this is situated above the town and too far away from everything) and to leave this Parador well alone.

Sitting above the town the parador has comfortable rooms with nice amenities and a large bathroom.

We were half board and the buffet breakfast and supper was very good indeed, loads of choice and great quality.

The buffet in the restaurant was something we really didn’t like - the quality of the food was often bad and the room itself had all the charm of a sports hall .Brightly lit and not particularly clean.

We liked this hotel for the location and because of the food (breakfast and dinner).

The food is excellent - some evenings a set menu (with options per course) and others a buffet.

The breakfast is exactly what you want on a ski holiday, something for everyone and plenty of it,

On the positive side the staff members were very nice, the included breakfast was fantastic and dinner in the restaurant was delicious.

We preferred the evening meals when a buffet was available as there was lots of choice.

Right next to the ski lifts, personalised ski lockers which lock, excellent breakfast buffet, totally clean despite all the boots being tramped through reception, nice bar (recommend a small spanish omelette tapas if you are hungry).

The restaurant food was excellent with a wide choice and varied menu for both breakfast and dinner, and good lunch time bistro type bar snacks.

We booked everything through Ski Inspired (including my and children group morning ski lessons which were excellent), I very much recommend them as a company, they organised everything, 
Baqueira is a great resort, loads of good skiing and options.

However, as we were a group of 30 the hotel changed the opening time to 7.30pm for the week we were there; which we much appreciated.

I would highly recommend this hotel for groups, families, and solo travellers.

We booked this hotel for a group of 14 travelling with Ski Inspired and Neilsens as it [on paper] met all our needs and reviewed pretty well on this site.

A lovely if slightly warm hotel, catering for all age groups and with plenty of amenities for all.

The pool and other amenities were also great.

Amenities - very nice, clean  swimming pool at a constant depth of 5 feet with a warm jacuzzi and showers nearby.

The hotel has a well maintained indoor pool and hot (not so very) tub.

The pool, jacuzzi and spa are well laid out and a good way to relax after a day on the slopes.

Then when you add on the pool, spa, a nice little bar, lots of choices to eat nearby and the fantastic location near the slopes and you have a winner.

The hotel was clean, the food was excellent, the pool and spa area well run  and the staff extremely friendly and helpful, with a good spread of english between them which was helpful with our terrible language skills.

It´s perfectly located next to the lifts, has a nice terrace, a cozy open fire launch, pool and yacuzzy.

but the my children just went and played pool in the café area.

Amenities were good with a pool, sauna and jacuzzi to relax in after a long day's skiing and the bar staff were helpful and very pleasant. We had two adjoining twin rooms which were fairly basic

The facilities in the hotel were great, lounge bar/restaurant/ quiet sitting room with log fire/ pool bar /late night bar in basement/ swimming pool/ ski locker room/ breakfast room.

Also included in the price is the swimming pool (but not the sauna).

The staff can't do enough for you, the hotel is spotlessly clean and comfortable, and the small indoor pool and excellent jacuzzi and treatment centre offer a fully rounded holiday.

What was poor was the main restaurant, reception staff were occasionally rude (clicking their fingers and shouting at us across the foyer to put a mask on) and housekeeping seemed almost non existent on occasion (dirty cup in our room for 3 days until we moved it into the corridor).

For the heat and poor reception service they lose a star.

Also had an amazing restaurant there, the rest were poor quality fried burgers/steak which were pretty disgusting if I'm being honest.

Both of our rooms had very poor reception.

When we checked into our non smoking room it smelt like an ashtray and we when we complained the staff were extremely helpful in offering a replacement room and immediately cleaning our room.

Try not to get a room above the entrance where the smokers congregate and create some late night noise.

Disgusting fast-food, and only one good Restaurant (5J) for which you need to book in advance.

Dinners were delicious, the sushi bar is a bless and the whole menu is amazing.

I highly recommand this hotel , specially for the kindness of the staff , the exceptionnal ski service , the very good breakfast .

Every night little sweets and fresh water were brought to your room, in the morning they remembered my breakfast preferences and also celebrated my birthday :)  
They are full of ideas to arrange other trips/excursions for you, as well as for the spa, we had a great massage :) 
Also the connected ski (rental & lessons) people were wonderful, they had a free guide to show us around on the skipistes!

The spa is terrific, and the breakfast delicious (always espresso, unless you order American) A unforgettable ski holiday

So many lovely touches, delicious food and wine, very comfortable rooms, excellent facilities and generally very impressive!

The breakfast buffet had a good variety to offer.

The food was delicious and there was a diverse menu with an extensive wine list.

The food at breakfast is outstanding with everything you could imagine on the buffet and more, including a chocolate fountain.

However for a 5* hotel & 5* cost (600€ a night), it is a shame that some things like mineral water or a simple coffee machine or tea are not featured in the room.

Being a 5 stars hotel there are also a couple of things which will require an improvement:
- speed, coverage and stability of the Wi-Fi
- assortment of pillows
- Nespresso machines in the rooms

Overall highly recommendable

The only thing that they didn't have is coffee and tea in the bedrooms and the coffee at the bar wasn't the best either.

We left without desserts or coffees and wowed to never come back unless this restaurant has a major turnaround.

Our knowledge of English, French, Russian and German was often not enough even to buy a cup of tea or get a napkin.

- top level of junior suite, especially the bathroom, can get quite cold
- windows on 3rd and 4th floor are built into the roof and often covered by snow.

If I had to make a remark, I find the lobby and bar area a bit cold, dark in some aeras and not very cozy for after ski drinks.

The conditions were a big luxury for us -- we are used to the cold and ice of New England, USA.

Plus the showers in the changing room were cold.

A very poor service experience in the Racletterie on our first night, staff in the boot room misplacing our skis and boots, mixed quality of drivers to the slopes (one was excellent, the other drove with one hand whilst using his mobile, impatient, and threw our skis into the boot), no turn down service in the bedrooms (unlike our previous experience), staff unwilling to enforce mask wearing indoors, and a permeating strong stench of cigarette smoke throughout the entire hotel communal seating areas impacted on our ability to relax downstairs.

I tried to call again a few more times, either no answer or someone would answer and would immediately hang up.

We then went back up to our room to have a hot shower and warm up to find that the water in our room wasn't hot either so we had to call reception and they organised a work man to come up.

Hotel is close to the ski lifts thanks to the hotel shuttle that get's you up there in 3 minutes.

Plus a free shuttle service to the piste (only 2 minutes)
And great food: we really enjoyed the raclette and meat-grill and a sushi-diner which was very special.

The ski lift is just 2 minutes with the hotel shuttle.

The location to the slopes along with the shuttle to the lift was perfect.

but I was very impressed with the skiing in the area and ski organisation of the hotel which ran a constant shuttle bus all day, back and forth to the nearest lift.

For skiing the hotel runs a free shuttle to the lift which takes less than two minutes and is extremely convenient.

They take care of your skis when you get to the shuttle and they help you with your boots.

Baqueira is The most exclusive ski station of all The Pyrénées and The hotel La Pleta is the must you can find because of The very professionnel and kind young staff because of The shuttles to the snow very close .

Location is great and the shuttle to the ski lift runs at all times with never a wait.

The rooms are comfortable, the ski service is very good with a ski shop in the hotel and a shuttle always being available for the 500m drive to the nearest lift.

Have shuttle to the station and the hotel is located at 1700 meters.The rooms are large and wood, so they are comfortable.

There is a very flexible shuttle to the ski lifts when you want it - only a couple of minutes form the lift.

The shuttle service and ski valet was a great convenience.

Make sure to have a phone to call for the shuttle which takes all of 2 minutes hotel to lift. WOnderful.

The hotel is wonderfully located (we had a car, so could get to the Beret ski slopes - better for non-expert skiers - with a 5 minute drive; there is a ski locker and prep room in the hotel and a regular shuttle to Baqueira skiing,

The ski locker room and shuttle service was convenient.

The proximity to skiing is very convenient.

I didn’t even know there was skiing in Spain!

We choose this fantastic spot in Baqueira every year when the skiing season begins.

The hotel is ideal for skiing (but not ski in/ out have shuttle bus) and the staff are great in managing the daily preparations.

We only did one day of skiing and concentrated on the spa and relaxation
