When we swapped our buffet meal to a restaurant meal one evening that was totally different experience.

There is a range of foods for breakfast and dinner.

The room was lovely and modern, the staff were great and very helpful, the food was good (we were half board) and plentiful.

Well the views here are truly stunning and the walk each day to breakfast and dinner was a feast for the senses

Breakfast in White Room was tasty and relaxing.

The breakfast is buffet and with so much choice for all people.

Well, we ate there every day. We loved the breakfast options (especially the coffee, greek yoghurt, fruit salads and pancakes!)

Main restaurant- breakfast was okay it was what it was.

Breakfast in the hotel consisted of a wide choice of options & was delicious.

-Breakfast had a variety of food, including pancakes for my picky son and great coffee.

The choice for the buffet breakfast was extensive and the breakfast went on until 10:30 which was fab for a lazy morning!

The breakfast had everything you need and you are always greeted with a smile.

A modern, well set out hotel, with al a crate food and an excellent buffet restaurant.

We were B&B and, in our opinion, the choice and quality of the food at breakfast was excellent.

however the restaurant is quieter at night which was ideal for us and the food is absolutely delicious - small selection done well and the desserts are INCREDIBLE!!

The food in the buffet, for both breakfast and evening meal was wonderful.

The food lacked taste and the number of guests made the dining experience very poor, rushed with staff taking one person plate whilst the other person was still eating.

but in the afternoon if you just wanted drinks in the bar area was very poor.

I did manage with my mobility being poor and believe me it’s worth it to be in this paradise.

After reading some poor reviews we were nervous about our holiday

Lassi itself was incredibly quiet and due to the roads we only went out during the day as poor footpaths and no street lights didn't make us feel safe to walk along the road.

The main buffet restaurant was very busy and noisy and the service, in particular the clearing away of plates was very poor.

but the food & beverage experience was remarkably poor in need leadership from a professional.

We thought food was poor, trays nor re filled fast enough and  not enough choice compared to other hotels.

The food at both breakfast and dinner is poor.

It is a large resort on hillside with very poor signs for rooms.

but nothing we have witnessed or heard of during our total of 20 weeks’ residence can justify the hurtful assessments of the “poor” and terrible” reviews, which frankly seem prompted by a sadly increasing obsession with upgrades and refunds as a right and personal victory rather than an appropriate response to a genuine grievance. Every guest in every hotel is likely to have some personal reservations but these are minor compared with the basic facts: White Rocks has splendid accommodation in an exceptional setting, the staff (all of them!)

Before booking we looked at a few reviews which talked of poor service and staff.

but coffee very poor and was charged for coffee from machine which tasted as bad as the one served.

The service was truly abysmal, we have never encountered such poor service either in the UK or overseas.

The service in the lower bar we found very poor, I waited twenty minutes to be served and had to go to first floor bar to be served.

We enjoyed the food at breakfast and dinner and it was so lovely to sit outside to eat in the mornings The views from the hotel are superb and it’s set in the most stunning position in a sheltered bay with comfortable loungers around the pool and direct access to a lovely little beach.

I am vegetarian and breakfast was amazing !

Breakfast great, loved eating outside each morning, staff very good.

We were bed and breakfast so did not have an evening meal in the hotel.

The staff at breakfast are a credit to the hotel, all so friendly and really accommodated us as a family and getting high chairs for the baby and talking to my daughter.

but so much choice for breakfast staff again amazing and very attentive.

Great location and breakfast was lovely sat on the terrace.

Plenty of choice at breakfast & in the evenings a large self service buffet.

The breakfast was quite delicious with plenty of options.

Big shout out to the guys on reception, breakfast, Anna and Maria from housekeeping and the lovely lady on the beach looking after the sun beds.

Breakfast buffet was very good with a wide range of choice.

Wide selection of breakfast options, lunch at the beach cafe had loads of Greek dishes, all the ones I tried were great (lemon chicken, stifado, stuffed aubergine).

We were B&B and very happy with breakfast.

Have just spent two weeks here bed and breakfast.

Apart from that, breakfast was good, and plentiful.

Cons:

* Rooms are a little tired with very poor sound proofing.

but the general sound proofing of the rooms is poor quality!

Now the downside;
The food was poor - school dinners at best.

The food really was poor no traditional greek meals all just very bland and standard so we ate out locally for the rest of the week which was much better.

The only time we ate an evening meal was on the first day, the food, clearly been under heat lamps for a long time was of a poor standard, with some of the items being served at breakfast the next day.

Desserts are poor with the same offering every night.

though the quality was still as poor and bland.

The card machine in the beach side restaurant is a dinosaur and I think the poor woman cashier's patience was tried every time she had to operate it.

The only major criticism of the hotel bedrooms as others have stated are the poor curtains and some early morning noise.

The not so good things:  the air conditioning was quite poor  ,  .

When we spoke to reception we were informed it was the phone lines and the bush fires which we found a poor excuse.

but the poor wifi makes it almost impossible to do anything but check the odd email.

Breakfasts are excellent with a huge range from hot to cold and rotation every day. The pool area is a delight and we spent many hours in it and around it lazing away the hours (with a little bit of people watching) - the inflatables policeman made us smile every day when he politely asked folk to take their blow up monsters out of the main pool (the bays are so tranquil that inflatables in the sea pose little or no danger) and the poor chaps 'selected' to be the towel police (no reserving at 6am and clearing off for the morning here!)

but I suppose these days as it is an older hotel then soundproofing is poor and carpets have been put in to help reduce floor noise.

Bathroom was cramped with basic over bath shower and room carpet was in a poor state.

One day we had booked a trip that had an early start, so we asked for a packed breakfast to take with us.

The breakfasts were nice, a bit repetitive

Each morning at breakfast time, we were greeted beautifully by both the reception staff and the breakfast staff.

The breakfast area, main bar and reception area are similarly welcoming.

We generally tended to fill up on the buffet breakfast each morning which had plenty of choice.

The Restaurant is by the pool and is sophisticated and elegant, we had one lunch and two dinners and the food was delicious and well presented

Sun beds were plentiful and so nice not to have the morning rush to put towels down.

The breakfasts are plentiful and it was always a pleasure to be met by the staff for a conversation about the day ahead.

Wasps were an issue and really irritating especially at Breakfast.

Typically warm  and friendly Breakfast and cleaning staff. However!

but they did have nice yogurts and fruits.

but was quoted almost 380E for a week, so we walked the 10 minutes to Lassi and got one for 250E..! So to summarise, We would return here and had no real complaints at all and all staff were great, one further thing they had some beautiful cats roaming around which my wife " Borrowed ' ham from breakfast to feed ( along with most guests )

Breakfast was plentiful, with options to try loads of different dishes, (even for picky eaters).

The breakfast was fresh, with multiple choices and set in a gorgeous area of the hotel again kept beautifully clean.

Those opting to have breakfast at the hotel will be greater with a wonderful and varied choice of food with a excellent serving time frame.

The breakfast was plentiful and the staff all very pleasant.

Breakfasts were a choice of traditional Greek, which were excellent, or if you wanted bacon and eggs, you could!

Compared with the breakfast available in the hotel, what we were served with was disgusting and had to be thrown away.

There were 2 very old, stained & smelly armchairs which were removed & not replaced on our request.

The room we were allocated was not a Junior Suite all it had going for it was the Sea View - it was dated, to say the least and had dirty scuffed walls, handles falling off wardrobes, scruffy old furniture and the bathroom was old and dated with a constantly dripping shower and water coming through drain on the floor; the balcony and the furniture were no better the divide to the next apartment was broken and just left broken.

There was an awful smell in the room which was worse when in bed as it permeated up from the floor between the two wooden single beds that had been pushed together.

We heard of issues with sewage for other guests.

I didn't like people smoking there, the majority didn't,

.we had a note put under the door at 3am on departure morning ( I was awake as too hot ) saying they would move us at 11 o'clock to another room at a fee of 150 euros , disgusting.

The smell was the mould and mildew omnipresent throughout the room.

Superior room has an AC that runs louder then an old truck and has a bad smell (not cleaned, clogged filters).

The pool is a tranquil escape where you can take a dip and soak up the sun with the smell of olive trees and lavender in the air.

It was musty/ damp and dirty with basic shoddy furniture which was chipped and scuffed, along with well worn/paint peeling doors/surfaces.

The bathroom had a broken drain cover that was sharp, the doors didn’t fit together leaving water to pour out on the tiled floor meaning it was very, very slippery.

Immediately on entering there was a smell of damp and the linen actually felt damp.

The shower was grubby with Mold (see pics).

although had a sea view  it smelt and felt very damp.There were also numerous cracked and broken tiles in the bathroom.For what we paid which was nearly £2000 for 7 days I would not expect this.

Minus: Room was damp and smelled mouldy, despite being the middle of summer.

As mentioned, aircon was €6/day and a safe key was €10 (payable by card).

If you wanted the fridge or air conditioner then there was an extra charge, I do think the fridge should be part of the overall cost and not an additional cost seen as it’s plugged in regardless of you using it or not.

The aircon  was at extra cost - personally we felt this should be included in the price as “standard” as is common in every other hotel we have ever stayed in.

The mrs complained to me the air con was too cold so we were wrapped up in loads of covers all night like being back home, wasn’t turning that off in 34 degree heat, and a tight Yorkshireman I didn’t pay for it

15€ per week for use of a fridge, also additional to pay for safety deposit box and Air Con, don’t know price as didn’t use them.

The air conditioning unit was struggling to keep the room below a reasonable temperature 

Breakfast was a varied mix of cereal, pastries, fruit, cheese and bread

If you want aircon and fridge (inc tourist tax) this will total €70 for the week or €140 for a fortnight!

What I wasn't aware of was the 84 euro charge for the use of air conditioning (in July it's an essential room feature).

but her room was serviced etc but she had a broken items in her room but no issues with her A/C.

Bonus being because we had booked through the booking.com no charge for fridge, aircon and safety deposit box (nice bonus).

The hotel was far better than I expected the staff are all friendly at all times.You have to pay hotel tax which is minimal also we were B&B and had to pay for the fridge which was fifteen Euros per week and the air con was six Euros a day

but have aircon TV small bathroom and balcony.

We paid for the aircon which was definitely needed at this time of year.

The negatives

You have to pay for safe €10 and air conditioning at €6 per day.

You do have to pay extra for air conditioning,

The air conditioning is 6 euro per night and the key for the safe is 15 euro per week non refundable.

Only disappointing aspect of this hotel were the charges for the extras, Safe (did not use) , fridge (did not use) and the air conditioning which was 6 euros per night (used for two night as the others nights were quite cool) if you used all three extras it would come to a tidy sum.

but not in the apartments, we found the beds unbelievably hot as they are memory foam toppers, but we overcame this by paying the additional 6 euros per night for air con.

Only issues were a dirty shower curtain and the balcony was tiny with no sun.

but small, and the shower tight but we managed fine and given the tiny amount of time you actually spend in the bathroom not a problem.

Bathroom was small ,the water was always hot and had complimentary toiletries.

but just the beds weren’t the most comfortable and the size of the shower was tiny.

The room was small and the bathroom was the tiniest on our trip.

but the shower was small with a curtain and looked rather lonely on its own in the corner.

It sank even further when I had a look at the bathroom.

however love the views and food in Butlers house, strange name for a Greek restaurant, just be prepared for a visit to the loo as it’s like stepping back in time, seriously, I’m not kidding!

Room, small and the only negatives are shower was tiny, not great and with a shower curtain, beds are quite hard.

The shower was a fairly basic over bath shower

Did have a drain in middle of bathroom which produced foam when others down the corridor used their shower.

The bathrooms not much bigger than a telephone box, the piece of wood round the shower is useless and so is the shower curtain, take the piece of wood out with the shower curtain and make it into a wet room.

It was surprised i found the bathroom not really that small, it was a bathtub with shower.

There were ants in the room and fridge, the shower was inadequate and I can’t believe this hasn’t been mentioned in any other reviews (see pictures) the water from the sink came up through the centre drain in the bathroom so we were always paddling.

but we rolled up a towel and placed it along the back of the shower which helped a bit.

However at 12MN our A/C fused ( my husband switched off the bathroom light) leaving us with no air conditioning and we then had a sleepless night. The unit was replaced next day

but just have to try and keep the too short curtain inside the shower.

The breakfast was very good and was nice to sit outside in the morning to eat it.

The next morning we discovered a wonderful breakfast buffet.

Breakfast was plentiful and good quality and you get to enjoy the sea view.

Awesome breakfast, great staff very friendly  extremely clean.

Other than this it’s spotlessly clean, good selection at breakfast, nice pool, breathtaking views of the sea and good location to visit the rest of the island.

The breakfast buffet is incredible which includes local produce and classic breakfast items.

The breakfast experience was so lovely sat on the deck looking out to the sea.

Lots of fruit: cherries, melon, apples, oranges, nectarines and kiwi fruits.

The breakfast was good, well presented and plentiful including pastries, fruit, yoghurt and cooked items.

Hotel is in a great location with fabulous staff and management team, the rooms are clean with good quality bedding and towels and excellent supply of toiletries, breakfast had a wide variety, good quality produce used and presentation was excellent.

The hotel was spotlessly clean, and the breakfast was excellent.

Greek breakfast was very good and plentiful.

The breakfast and bar area had s fantastic sea view, definitely s big bonus.

The bathroom was truly awful, the tiny shower, right next to the toilet, again no storage space.

Ensuite bathroom was a little small and the shower area was very small.

Only one thing didn't like bathrooms are very tiny.

The only small niggles were the small bathroom and shower which soaked the floor

Firstly - yes the shower is small, we could take the shower down and hand hold it and you do not need the shower on full blast not really a problem if you know this from the start.

As others have commented the shower was small and soaked the bathroom,but really not an issue.

The bathroom was a bit small and sometimes the water leaked if you didn't the shower curtain around the shower tray properly

but that's a personal choice the bathroom was small but is what you expect in a small Greek hotel.

And nowhere in the shower at all for soap or bottles and it’s so small a shower with shower curtain it makes the shower experience frustrating.

We were a little disapointed with a 10AM check out .Very small shower room and a very small balcony which had the only table to eat at.

but bathroom a little small, however this does not retract from a good overall hotel.

Water gets everywhere and is quite dangerous.SOME rooms ,not all have a small corner shower with a shower curtain which is totally useless.The shower is brilliantly warm and powerful

The room had only 1 small window and a very small area outside to sit.

The shower had a curtain which also enclosed the toilet when you were washing.

The shower cubicle is ridiculously small with a shower curtain that inevitably sticks to you as the area is tiny.

Our room had been modernised  and was lovely, the only thing I would say is the shower is far too small and the curtain serves no purpose, a screen would be better.

The couple I mentioned earlier were allocated the room next to us which had no window at all, just a glass entry door which when opened exposed most of the room including the bed to anyone passing by, Even less privacy than our room.

Only negative was the shower in our twin bedroom, it was small with a shower curtain and only effective if hand held.

More importantly there is no floor mat for grip in the shower which, combined with its size and curtain sticking to you, makes slipping very possible.

The shower curtain is far too short therefore when you have a shower the bathroom is swamped.

The disadvantage of the rooms higher up is that they are small - it was particularly difficult manoeuvring around the furniture on the balcony, and the bathroom was incredibly small, with a clingy shower curtain that was difficult to keep inside the shower rather than wrapping itself around the toilet.

It does get very war on an evening and yes for some very strange reason it was decided to open the doors and windows and turn the A/C off - why no-one seemed to know!

The shower curtain tends to stick to you which is a bit of a pain

Overall the hotel was absolutely fantastic, the food was good, we went half board and enjoyed every breakfast and dinner that was served, the hotel also has some really nice lunch options.

Very friendly staff as usual in Greece and especially Maria in the bar area who looked after us so well and Olga, in the restaurant every morning for breakfast.

Food was amazing - even more so as my daughter has coeliac disease and was provided with her own basket of gluten free food every breakfast, and had the ingredients of the evening meals explained.

Everything was stone cold Breakfast was definitely the best & scrambled eggs delicious

Daily brekfast buffet is delicious and plentiful.

Apartments and grounds are kept immaculate they take pride in their work

Evening meals are fine

The hotel was clean, the dinner food was traditional and tasty and the breakfast was an incredible spread.

Breakfast is between 7.30am and 10.30am and is cereal, pastries, cooked breakfast and fruit.

The choices were plentiful, satisfying all our cravings.

The breakfast was so good, lots to choose from and very fresh.

Everthing was awesome:

The menu was delicious.

The evening buffet was fresh, delicious and varied.

however we did pay for lunch and cocktails for lunch, everything we ate and drank was delicious.

We stayed half board and the breakfast was nice with a decent choice in a buffet format between 7.30am and 10.30am.

Breakfast is ok, lunch I would say is the best then the evening meals are very poor and often cold even if your first into restaurant.
