The all inclusive nature of the hotel is luxe, the full breakfast, open self-serve bar, afternoon snacks with wine, plus the helpful staff, are all excellent.

The Banks Mansion has great location, comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast, and a wonderful staff.

The free breakfasts were yummy with made-to-order omelets, fresh OJ, and a cappuccino machine; plenty of seating.

Every day was special from the lovely and excellent breakfast made by Alphonse, Sandra and other great people, to the wonderful desk staff who were always friendly and helpful, including Jean-li, Kouatar, Shafani, Noureddine and Patrick- who gave us great restaurant recommendations and much other excellent advice.

The all inclusive buffet was great too with lots of branded drinks to chose from and the cheese trolley was delicious.

Exactly what we hoped for—great location, clean and comfortable accommodations, and terrific extras (superb breakfast service, excellent beverages available on demand, and more.)

Breakfast at the hotel was a wonderful way to start the day.

The hotel is well-appointed, has a great location, is very clean, and each morning had a yummy breakfast buffet with a large selection.

Room a bit small and the bed was two single beds thrown together.

Though the rooms are a bit small by American standards, ours was a lovely room and with our view of the canal, we were very pleased.

Too bad because the location is great, a few stops of the M52 and you are in the city center and you have a lot of choice for breakfast.

even though the staff spoke perfectly English she was insisting on add car park price to our rate and couldn’t understand when my husband wanted to split the payment in 2 cards.

They charged me one more night by blocking the sum on the card.

I have been charged additional EUR 165+ without using services applicable.

She then informed her colleague checking in early comes with a fee of 20 euros per room and charged us accordingly.

No small refrigerator, beds are hard, no electrical outlet in the bathroom to blow dry hair and no USB outlets to charge your phone.

Combined with the Amsterdam Regional Card we never thought twice about going anywhere.

Called back and spoke to someone else who claimed to be in charge and gave his name as Vincent who was equally unhelpful

In addition to all the hassle of moving rooms, it also turned out that there was apparently an error on my credit card so that the required deposit could not be charged,

Breakfast is a lottery as you need to get a card with the half hour time you can have it , if you get there late you can only get the 7 am or 10 am coupon.

But they felt the need to charge me for an umbrella which I never bought off them.

Note that Dutch taxis charge surge rates during transit strikes; instead of the fixed 45 euros to Schiphol, we paid 72 euros.

Due to a heat wave in Netherlands guests were provided with a spare card to keep a/c turned on when they're away.

But, I also requested a late checkout based on their site in regards to "policies",
which states "Late Check-Out Fee 25.00 € Request upon availability. Check out after 6PM, full night will be charged."

Stayed here on the 17/03/2019, when me and my wife arrived we were advised to pay 11.51 euros for city tax which we did we also purchashed 2 48 hour travel passes for 27 euros, both payment were made with my debit card and pin number entered.

I advised them that all charges were to go to my credit card (which they never were).

We bought a 48 hour public transport card and travelled into Central Amsterdam several times over the course of 3 days.

Was slightly cheaper booking via booking.com, at EUR99, and seemingly I am going to get a $40 credit due to loyalty (time will tell).

Then when we were departing the girl wanted to charge us again for the room when we had paid cash on arrival, Then to top it off once we returned home my friend had noticed that the hotel had taken another large payment out her bank.

The only complaint was that the room was quite small

The hotel is clean and looks ok, our room was small for saying it’s using the name Hilton, only one coffee each provided and the only place to plug in the kettle was in front of a mirror, as you can guess the mirror got steamed up, again not something you would expect for a Hilton.

We absolutely love this hotel and everything about it from the delightful staff to the very comfortable room and excellent breakfast.

The restaurant was delicious and the pricing was perfectly reasonable considering the quality of the food and the high level of service.

The breakfast was delicious and copious, with cooked choices  as well as a wide, fresh buffet selection, beautifully presented.

The breakfast was delicious and bar was the perfect place for a glass of wine.

With the ideal on-canal location, terrific staff, superb accommodations, and wonderful breakfasts, the hotel was our gateway to a few magical days in Amsterdam.

We enjoyed excellent service each morning with our healthy and hearty breakfast in the beautiful restaurant with huge windows, stunning art work and sparkling chandeliers.

If a trip to the bathroom is needed during the night you would need to go down the steep circular stairs.

but it was actually on the sitting room level and she neglected to provide instruction on various features (such as the curtains being controlled by a remote), however we managed to muddle through on our own, including carrying the luggage up a very steep flight of stairs to the sleeping area.

The only con was the extremely steep almost vertical stairs to our room.

**Had us carry the heavy bed on stairs - it was so difficult and painful**.

These results in hallways that take abrupt turns with 2-3 stairs, or different ceiling heights, and unexpected views out little windows.

It does have lots of stairs as it is a combination of old buildings, so you need to be prepared for that, even with the lift.

These houses are tall and narrow which includes the stairs.

The rooms are all different and you have wind your way through hallways and short stairs (there is an elevator)

A note about the very steep stairs would have been welcome at the time of booking as not wholly appropriate for my 91 year old mother, although she did cope admirably

To get to our room we had to take either two separate elevators or two different flights of steep stairs, and inside our room there were two steps to get into the bathroom.

but if you have trouble with stairs be sure to let them know so they can assign the right room.

In the merging of these canal houses, some rooms are accessible by a lift, others primarily by stairs.

but if you find walking stairs a challenge make sure you tell the staff when you book so they can accommodate your needs.

but if you have trouble with stairs you might want to ask for a room where there are fewer of them.

I felt terrible because it meant the staff member had to haul our luggage to a higher floor by going up & down the twisting stairs,

but for my room and several others you still have to climb stairs and there is an occasional step or two in the long winding corridors.

Our room was up some narrow stairs, as befits the history of the canal houses, and was tucked under the attic style angled ceiling.

Only caveat was the narrow stairs getting to our room, just be prepared : )

Highly recommended!

Because the hotel was made by connecting various houses, there are a lot of steps, steep stairs, lifts and narrow corridors.

The breakfast here was also phenomenal - one of the best breakfasts with variety of choice as well as nice ambiance in the entire Hilton system.

An Albert Heijn ("ah") medium-sized supermarket is only a two-minute walk from the hotel entrance, which was a big advantage for us, as we preferred to have the breakfasts, and sometimes dinner, in the room.

The restaurant is great and breakfast was amazing.

- On check-out, we were informed of a charge to room for a dinner that we were outside the hotel, no such thing happened and they took a while to check (and confirmed we were correct), causing us to miss our originally planned trained schedule.

It will charge you EUR 45 per day to park your car.

All entry to elevator floors is card key activated.

At night there is a cover charge to get into the club and the lines can get long(we didn't go up at night).

At check out, someone had charged drinks to one of the rooms which took a while to resolve.

I'll have to raise this with my credit card provider as a chargeback.

I ordered the wrong item, the waitress replaced it no charge and she apologized for not taking the time and explaining what I ordered to start with. .

However, when they emailed our invoice after we’d left the hotel and were on our way home, the rate did in fact include breakfast after all, surely that would have shown on their system?

I have no idea what this relates to and I have not seen this on an invoice before

I will be turning back in my Hilton honors card and moving to another provider. su

It took 13 days after arrival for the €661.37 to clear back on the card used.

Housekeeping was never coming at the same time, they were supposed to bring water in the room (I have a gold card) - in the five days I stayed there I got water on 0 days.

Super poor performance and everyone in charge would be eligible for pursuing a career outside of the hotel business.

We were lucky enough to get a VIP card to the rooftop bar so we did not have to wait in line and went there a couple of times.

for the price they charge to stay at this hotel its an absolute shocking experience, i have been staying with Hilton for over 15 years all around the world and this has been by far the most worse experience, if i was you i would not choose this hotel.

You will need to use the public parking located underground on Level -2  and you need to be prepared for how expensive this is going to cost you.

The sky bar said it was fully booked so we made a reservation to return when they called us, the call never came so this was poor service considering they charge €22 euro per tiny cocktail.

but overpriced and overrated not worthy of 4 stars.

So, unless this automatically comes with your Hilton Honors, don't pay extra.

Such a shame as we paid nearly 700 euro for 2 nights!

Don't take Uber it will cost you around 45 euro.

however for the higher price tag expected more than what we got.

but it was simply unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one as expensive as this one.

If I didn't have the email showing the quoted price, I would have been charged double.

Didn't opt to pay extra for breakfast as the price seemed excessive so can't comment on that.

Considering we paid nearly £800 for our stay, room only, I would have expected this as standard.

However, after a few days the provisional charge on my credit card changed to a settled amount which was much higher than just room taxes.

So had we said yes to booking breakfast we would have paid for it twice!

Would have been quite expensive (like all of Amsterdam's hotels)

Was invited for a business trip, so the accommodation was paid by the company, that's why I stayed there.

One good thing was the service at breakfast was excellent.

Hotel was clean, breakfast amazing and such sweet kind personnel.

We dined there for breakfast and one evening dinner - very good!

For breakfast and lunch, the quality was good.

Just outside the main tourist area of Amsterdam this is a great hotel with excellent services and facilities plus benefits from having ample parking which is a real plus.

Daily breakfast was included, which had lots of great buffet options as well as an a la carte menu for some items (omelettes, etc).

Breakfast was great, as with all Hilton’s.

but also almond milk, oat milk, and soya milk;  also, there were containers of chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, granola, cacao, pine nuts, and mixed nuts and seeds as well as a honeycomb - healthful and fun additions to the menu - which I enjoyed on my porridge.

Wow everyone went out of their way to be helpful from the Front Desk (changing cash, adjusting reservation, noticing we were charged for two rental  bikes, not one ), to the fantastic Concierges and bell staff (who arranged for bikes, taxis, package drop off/pickup) to the unflappable wait staff in Roberto’s for a wonderful buffet.
