Super hotel, excellent staff throughout, immaculate!

Our room was comfortable, warm, clean and silent.

It was spacious, spotlessly clean, and comfortable.

Our room was very spacious and comfortable.

On Day 3 they switched my room to the main building, a completely different vibe.

Hotel has a warm feeling that matches perfectly with Colmar vibe.

It's decked out in fashionable grey, with piped music all day long, very functional

The interior made to the best to transfer this tiny spaces to nice sweet with separate living room, sanitary area and a bedroom.

Very lovely place to stay in Colmar for romantic weekend with your beloved one - nicely located in very heart of wonderful Colmar, great staff, very well designed room, very smooth and calm sleep experience. Applause!

Amazing rooms
So spacious and creatively designed.

From the hotel you can walk into the center with lots of gastronomic restaurants and colorful shops.

The rooms and bathroom are spacious and well decorated.

We had two luxury rooms in the suite building across from the main hotel - one was on the GroundFloor (the Studio) with a direct entry from the street and one window opening in the interior courtyard, with very little privacy.

Pretty village just adds to the ambience.

Beautiful modern design, yet with the old beams on the ceiling of the room.

Stayed 3 nights in a good modern decorated and appointed room.

but the fully redone bathroom was stunning.

Hotel: Rooms are beautifully designed and clean,

The style and applied taste of the newly renovated room is excellent.

As the previous reviewer mentioned, some rooms - especially in the suites across the street - did not have an elevator.

He shoved us in the elevator with our luggage and we were left to fend for ourselves.

Not mentioned was that the room was on the second floor and only accessible via two long, high stairs, no elevator.

The other two were on the second floor--with NO elevator access.

Just take note that on The Colombier Suites the rooms upstairs don’t have elevator, and to access them you have to climb steep stairs (which we didn’t mind).

but the building we were in did not have an elevator.

We had booked and paid for our Superior room a year in advance and yet we ended up in a third floor attic room (no lift!).

We were in a beautiful section overlooking the interior patio, no elevator so had to go up two flights with luggage

We were shown to the elevator door - no offer of help beyond that.

Our room was up flights of stairs ( no elevator) there are rooms that have elevator access

We had a room right on the top floor without lift.

Just notice that most part of the rooms (also suites) don't have elevator to arrive, so if you have problems with stairs, just phone the hotel to be sure that your room is in the part of the hotel with elevator.

The only problem for some guests, it may be that in the ward where I stayed they do not have a lift and the room, in my case (the thirth floor), it was a duplex.

Only negative is that it has a shower and no bathtub and no elevator in "Suites" building.

They only downside are the steps, as a reconstructed old building there is no elevator.

but no elevator so a lot of stairs up which we had to lug our bags.

It was on the top floor (with an elevator just outside the door).

Location: The hotel can easily be reached by car, while "Little Venice" with it's charming shops and restaurants is just around the corner.

The hotel is very central and 1 minute walking from Colmar Little Venice neighborhood.

Colombier is situated a few steps only from "Little Venice" and the whole town is reachable by walking.

The hotel is perfectly located in the Little Venice area.

This hotel is situated in the nicest location in Colmar, adjacent to "Little Venice", in an old house, renovated to perfection.

Location is meters away from little venice and walking distance to all of colmar's main attractions.

The location is the best spot when visiting the xmas market .

Excellent hotel and great location, close to Little Venice and the Christmas markets.

The room was stuffy, hot and located next to the gym.

Le Colombier is located in the Petit-Venise area, at a walking distance from the city centre and all its restaurants.

The rooms are great, the staff is fantastic, breakfast is good and its centrally located to all that old town of Colmar has to offer!

We loved the location because we could walk everywhere!

The hotel is located in the Petit Venise area of the historic area & is central to all activities one would visit Colmar to see.

but there are so many other hotels here that have better locations.

Great location, good service and room was really nice.

However, they made us sleep on their wait and would not let us in the room one second before the 3 PM

My room was very large and airy, and  loved the light-color  timber beams on the ceiling.

An added bonus were the Henry Moore drawings in our room.

We were a family of 8 and had 4 superior class rooms between us.

Everything was super included the breakfast, except the room.

The room, staff and the remodeled lobby/breakfast area are lovely.

Our room was on the third floor and very comfortable.

Rooms were nice a spacious, I loved the towel warmer rack!

The rooms looks all different and that makes it really special.

but this room was not a suite in a 4star hotel, the best they have to offer(just read their own description of  the suites on the  hotel website).

The structure was nice and warm with a focus on details that you can see from the forniture in the room.

No directions or assistance was provided from the train station to the hotel.

Another real plus at Le Colombier is the Staff.

The staff were extremely responsive to my requests for the correct bed configuration (we had 2 rooms with 2 twins) and getting the rooms close together.

Breakfast was perfect and the staff very friendly.

This hotel has free parking out front from 7pm to 9am which was helpful.

A very pleasant and friendly hotel to stay in, from a warm greeting by Oceane, through all staff being friendly and helpful.

The bathroom was accessible wit a small stairs.

If you are 70+, not immediately a "comfort far from home" to drag your bags up and down the stairs.

Our room was up a few flights of stairs and then up another flight once inside the room (like a loft) and probably not suited to the elderly or mobility challenged.

Stairs become more and more difficult after age 80!

The only downside would be for people who have trouble with stairs.

The climb on the stairs (see photos) might be difficult for some, so I suggest checking about any physical limitations when reserving.

but it should be specified as the stairs were quite steep.

but we were placed in the adjoining building up two long flights of stairs.

The bathroom is on another level, so you need to take the metal stairs, while bending over because you will hit your head on the slanted ceiling.

When I mentioned this at check out, the attendant seemed to blame it on me not coming down 5 flights of stairs to get it sorted out.

I could not find the elevators to our room, only stairs so I went back to the reception and was told there are only stairs (actually I wonder where the emergency exit is for this area).

So if you don't want to lug your suitcases up the stairs, make sure to specify a room with elevator access or on the ground floor.

but we had to climb 2 flights of stairs (not a real problem for us and staff helped with our luggage, but elder people may have a hard time).

On arriving with a "heavy suitcase" which they wanted me to carry up three flights of stairs, which I refused to do as I'm a senior citizen.

Location can't be beat - you in the heart of town - short walk to everything.

A beautiful corner in the pretty little town of Colmar.

Town is nice and many place with restaurants.

The location is just a few steps from the delightful center of town.

Everyone was helpful with everything from getting around to making dinner reservations in town.

but also in a perfect location for visiting the old town of Colmar.

Drop baggage at the hotel and then park and forget the car until you leave town.

The hotel is just at the entrance to the old town on an old cobbled street.

We parked the car in the secure car park on the edge of town (5-10 minutes walk) for 15 Euros/overnight, and then walked everywhere we needed to go.

In the Petite Venise section of town this hotel is well located and newly renovated : our room 204 was big with a very very comfortable king bed and divine clean pressed linens.

but we prefer to find little places to eat whilst exploring town, so this wasn't an issue for us (besides, there's a wonderful little patisserie diagonally across the road).

Very sweet hotel on the canals, in the heart of the old town, a beautiful architecture, well renovated with spacious bathrooms and a small waterfall in the courtyard.

The location of the hotel is great, walking distance to the center of town.

Turns out the town is quite sleep after 9:00 PM.

In general, everything (breakfast, room, bed, cleaning, service, staff) was very nice.

Excellent breakfast spread and 1 km walk from the centre.

Absolutely excellent hotel, clean, spacious and close to the railway station which is only 5 minutes walk away with regular services to Basel / Strasbourg and occasional TGV trains to Paris Gare De L’Est.

What to improve: internet connection and install a glass door to close the shower cabinet - the whole bathroom floor was drowned after the 1st shower.

but there's no door for shower and each time our shower the floor become all wet.

With "do not disturb " sign at the door, the maid ignored it and barged in at 10:30am.

Shower is kinda odd, no door and causes water to spray on the floor towels.

There’s no door to block water from shower to the bathroom floor in the shower room, so your bathroom gets messy and wet every time you take a shower.

The shower had no door or curtains so the water went all over the bathroom floor.

Only grumble is lack of privacy with bathroom as it had a sliding glass door that did nothing to muffle any of nature's natural noises when using facilities!

The bathroom door was a sliding door with no lock.

Away from most of the restaurants apart from one, free electric car charging available in car park next door, albeit at a slow rate.

The only aspect I didn’t like was the sliding door to the bathroom which wouldn’t shut closely like a normal door.

Only pity that the glass door of the shower is can not be closed and will wet the floor when one takes shower.

The only minus for the room is the door of the bathroom, it is not so isolating between the room and the bathroom, so there is not enough privacy.

The only unpleasant detail was the shower cabin, there is no door and inclination, You can’t take a shower without spreading the water all over the bathroom’s floor.

The only downside is the lack of a door on the shower and you get bathroom floor wet when showering.

My only complaint would be that the showers had one panel that was open (no shower curtain or door where there probably should’ve been one), causing a lot of splashing onto the bathroom floor outside,

but shower design doesn't have a closing door so water can easily get onto floor.

Interesting shower with no door so you have to be careful when you shower and overall is a bit small for a bathroom.

The only drawback i would say is that the shower area has no door so the water may spilt over the place in the bathroom.

A great modern hotel just 5 minutes from the train station.

Modern walkin shower, lots of accessories shower cap, shampoo, body lotion.

It is well maintained and imaginatively decorated in modern style.

Hotel was fantastic modern well appointed very comfortable bed was lovely and the room was air conditioned spotlessly clean.

Room comfortable, quiet & light with large modern bathroom.

The room is modern, new, clean and with little detailed that makes the difference.

This was a great hotel in a great location and very modern.
