There were iPads and phones charging in the hallways. .

My one suggestion would be to provide a safe / secure box in the room for passports, money and gadgets

but not good enough .A  power cut every day we were there.

Honestly for me, staying here was a 5* ski holiday in a small, wonderful  hotel which was great fun to stay in and where we felt part of their family.

We had a great family ski trip hosted by Yana, Nick and the team at the Hotel Staffler.

This is our first time as a family at the Staffler (I have visited previously with some close friends) and it really is a home from home.

Karen didn’t feel like it was her first time visiting the hotel as was made to feel incredibly welcome from the outset and a member of the Staffler family.

Hotel staffler was a great family destination they even provided calpol in the night when our smallest had a temperature.

After so many hopes and false expectations of winter 20-21, I’m now hoping to get skiing once again with the amazing Staffler hotel ski guiding set up.

The hotel ski guiding is brilliant, helping you navigate numerous resorts with zero stress and encouraging you to cover lots of slopes that perhaps you would have missed.

I’ve been meaning to visit this family run ski hotel for years and finally found a window of time to go for a few days.

Compared to most other ski hotels I have been to over the past 30 years - I would say it was easily the best value for money too.

The hand picked team of staff were excellent both in the hotel and on the ski guiding - and confirms that Mr Brooker (the boss) really does knows what he is doing, which is proven by the ridiculously high percentage of guests in the hotel that had stayed at the Staffler previously and return year after year (many of them three or four times a season).

My husband and I have NEVER ski’d before and wanted a few days away in a ski resort to try and get a feel for whether we’d enjoy it.

Cheeky short break with the family to our absolute favourite ski hotel in our absolute favourite ski area.

Nick offers daily guided skiing including transport to local and  futher a field ski resorts, in his fleet of 3 mini buses or even offering coach hire for big parties.

The extremely good value ski pass and the excellent shuttle bus service that the hotel runs means you can ski a different resort everyday with the help of some very good ski guides whom are provided by the hotel..

What more could you want from a ski hotel?

As usual they fed us well in the evenings and then guided us around the various local ski resorts during the day.

There are frequent trips out to the local resorts in the Ski Welt and Ski Juwel areas as well as further afield to Kitzbuhel, Zell am Zimmer, Mayrhofen and Kaltenbach.

I have visited many ski resorts and always end up thinking .

The area is an excellent ski resort with plenty of space and good range of different runs, Nick and Yana are great guides and gave excellent advice on the area.

Auffach is a larger ski resort, and is served daily (and regularly) by the ski-bus (easily accessible from the hotel) and Ski-Welt is one of the largest ski resorts in Tirol, and is also easy to get to.

We were met at the airport for the transfer by  'Mad Dave' who entertained us with his ski and resort knowledge.

Great location, great skiing, great guiding, great owners and staff, great value.

but all the more enjoyable to know our real life (skiing at Staffler) still there to live and enjoy.

The hotel is in a great location for beginners or experienced skiers due to the vast amount of skiing on the doorstep.

Great skiing in different resorts and amazing food.

though to the entertaining evening meal and also join in with skiing days out.

The choices of guided skiing is such a bonus to the hotel and the guides so professional.

The ski guiding is superb and allows you to see so much more than if you went out alone, along with some great traditional lunch restaurants - the ability to go in different groups dependant on skiing ability, really helped our party.

We are skiing converts and have already booked ready for next year.

The whole team ensured we had a brilliant week skiing with expert guiding and help arranging private lessons.

Arriving back after the worlds lockdown, 8 of Austrian Ski Team descended at the well renowned Hotel Staffler.

Regardless of the weather their guiding team of Beth, Robin and Gaston will seek out the best runs and the best restaurants for lunch. Spectacular!

We were welcomed by every member of staff who could not do enough for us!

Every day is an opportunity to cover kilometres of beautiful pistes under the care & guidance of very competent & talented skiers (& boarders) who make each day on the mountain so much fun.

highly recommended this hotel its ski in ski out .. right on the ski bus stop for the Alpach area.

I was on a skiing holiday and it is worth mentioning that the free ski bus stop is right outside the hotel giving direct access to Aufach and the connected Ski Jewel area

Not to far from the town to walk either during the day or the night and a bus stop right outside.

The bus stop is right outside the hotel which is a bonus to get to the main area.

The T bar M5 is just down across the road from the hotel, or the bus stop outside the hotel can take you to the main cable car, M1, just one stop away.

Just come back from a week in this hotel, The hotel comes in at a very reasonably price and is very convenient location right opposite ski slopes and next to a bus stop which is free to use to take you further afield The staff are very hard working and Herbert the owner is very amiable.

I stayed here with my partner 12th -19th Jan. Positives are great location - couldn't be better as far as we were concerned, right opposite the 2 drag lifts that connected you with the  rest of Niederau's lift system and a bus stop right outside which took you to Auffach for a great variety of skiing.

Hotel location excellent for ski lifts, nursery slopes, ski school meeting point, bus stop right outside.

Bus stops right outside the hotel and we skied to and from most days - blue runs and 2 lifts into the village, red and blues home.

but the bus stops right outside the hotel and the Wildschonau card gives you free access to the cable cars, outdoor swimming pool up the road (fantastic for kids) and other good deals, if you are staying in the hotel you should be entitled to one and they are awesome.

The hotel is in a peaceful position about 5 minutes walk from the lovely village of Niederau where there are two supermarkets, shops, a beautiful church and the town bandstand where we went both weeks to hear their excellent local band.The local buses stop outside the hotel.

Poor Herbert, he is too controlling agree with that, but his wife died only a few weeks back when we were there in feb.

as it was first bus stop and meant you could get on and seated.

Position opposite the slope is great and a bus stop is a few yards down the road.

Can ski to gondola by crossing road in front of hotel and getting T bar lift up, then skiing down to gondola (worth noting as the walk down is a trek with your gear), alternatively free ski bus stops right outside frequently.

There are 2 ski lifts opposite the hotel and the ski bus stops right outside.

The location is perfect, first stop for the bus to Auffach so you get a seat every time.

The hotel and room were spotless, you get a summer card for the resort that allows use of the ski access lifts and some other discounts.

Located opposite a nursery run, and also a t-bar with access to the main lifts
in the centre of Neiderau.

button lift then up there skiing right which rakes you down to the meeting place for lessons or gondala.

We were fortunate to have very good weather, the Wildschonau pass entitles you to free lifts up the mountain in Neiderau.

Opposite some of the smaller lifts which you can connect to the main gondola  from so minimal effort getting out which was also a big benefit.

Started off really well as our double room was nice, clean, comfy bed and a walk in shower with a balcony over looking the front towards the mountain ski runs and lifts so the views were amazing even in the rain that was falling heavily as we arrived late afternoon to check in.

Excellent apres ski facilities, warm large swimming pool,steam room and sauna,

Get up early if you want to beat the lift queues - aim for 8.50 or 9.10 bus and it’s much more civilised!

Short walk down the road to lifts for main slopes.

Staying at the hotel Hartenwirt was well situated for buses and lifts making it easy to get about, and your host Herbet was very friendly and for a most pleasent memorable holiday

We arrived late afternoon and after unpacking, arranging our ski hire, lessons for the beginners and lift passes we had a drink in the bar.

Ski lifts are free in summer for walkers and bikers to get up high for many trails, all well marked.

but long queues at lift station  in mid March when local schools descend on the area.

Hotel close to nursery slope (button lift), turn right down to Gondola which takes you up to the runs at Niederau.

The staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Harfenwirt is a nice 3 star hotel with helpful friendly staff.

rooms were spacious and very modern.. the food was brilliant and varied .. bar staff and waiters were friendly and attentive to all our needs .. and the owner Herbert .

The waiting staff are very friendly and drinks are reasonably priced.

The Alpine atmosphere and friendly hotel staff really made my holiday this summer.

He was very friendly and throughout the stay greeted us and chatted to us, as he did with many of the guests.

Niederau itself is really lovely, very friendly people and really reasonable.

This is a very friendly hotel, the soups are always good and the food reflects the area of Austria the hotel is in.

- Rooms are big and clean, stayed in the modern wing and it had a lovely balcony overlooking a green field and the villages

- Staff are pleasant and friendly.

Herbert, the owner, takes a real interest in his guests and is always there at breakfast and dinner, chatting to everyone and offering suggestions and advice.We found him friendly, helpful, kind, funny and entertaining and we miss him.

Also, a mention for Maria and the breakfast girl who were always very friendly.

All in all, a very nice, clean, friendly hotel in a quiet location.

- The bathroom was small and congested with poor exhaust.

Towels small and threadbare, no safe in room,poor lighting and the bedframe was very squeaky!!

The food is poor in quality and very basic,  which quite frankly,  insults the Austrian cuisine.

The only down side is that some of the food is not extra the main meals particularly poor some home or fresh produce would not go a miss.

Service in general was poor and unfriendly.

There had been some poor reviews previously on Tripadvisor about this hotel, so we were a little reticent about booking it.

Service is very poor & the owner thinks it's above him to help.

Service is poor and the waiters seemed more interested in providing drinks from the bar than serving meals to the guests.

Never saw such a rude and poor service anywhere.

Wifi poor, only available in the reception area.

but in fact the quality was so poor,  so I will claim that there is no Internet at all.

Was a shame as we got a good deal because the snow was poor.

The resort as a whole needs a high level link from the Niederau area down to Auffach rather than relying on ski busses which are poor frequency midday.

Very poor snow in the resort and the hotel was also very poor.

I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfasts and evening meal, with plenty of variety and goodness after a day skiing.

Food was very good for a skiing holiday, enjoyed our three course evening meal and it always had plenty flavour.

We stayed at this hotel during a skiing trip to Niederau.

We opted to take the bus to Auffach and from there you can take another cable car  over to Inneralpbach, where the skiing is good.

but larger areas are reachable by bus so you can mix it up. The pool was lovely and sauna/steam room was ideal to relax after a days skiing (just avert your eyes to the naked Austrians if that isn’t your bag haha.)

but you quickly catch yourself on and remember that you are there for the Skiing.

We had a great stay here, just got back from a weeks skiing.

but other reviews suggest she had died, so maybe another family member, both of them were similarly polite and helpful, offering advice about skiing areas.

It was 4 of us staying in this hotel for a week skiing holiday.

Skiing fairly limited in Niederau especially for beginners

Breakfast starts at 8:00 am - too late for fans of morning skiing.

The wellness facilities are excellent with a great pool area to relax after an hard day skiing.

One the second day, three of us were hit with food poisoning as we all had lamb and missed two days of skiing.

Niederau is a good resort for intermediates and beginners, just testing enough with access via bus to some excellent intermediate skiing at Auffach.

Family skiing holiday February 2017 half-term (x 3 people), we stayed in the newest part of the hotel, bedroom was big with 2 beds pushed together to make a Queen size and a single sofa bed (14 yr old said it was very comfortable); lots of wardrobe space; powerful, hot shower; underfloor heating in bathroom; separate toilet; balcony.

There was an abrupt waitress who was only concerned with selling drinks, not welcoming guests.

but the kitchen staff are amazing (Thankyou!)

Staff were great, always helpful and pleasant and bar staff were great fun - try the ‘cheeky, cheeky’ schnapps (adults only)!!!!!

Check in at reception was swift and quick with the staff speaking very good English.

The wine waitress was very pleasant and efficient

I even met three who had stayed at this hotel many times previously - a real credit to Herbert, the owner, who is a real character who spent time getting to know us all and even played his harp for us - a memory I will always cherish.

Herbert owner of the hotel was amazing on the Harp so if you hear he is playing at the guest house up the road it's worth a visit.

Overall it felt like these guys have no idea what’s going on in hospitality industry these days.

comfortable room, spacious and clean
food was varied and a salad buffet included with dinner each evening
staff extremely hard working especially our waitress 
Hubert does the hosting rounds every day and is very involved with the running of his hotel

The bed was exceptionally comfortable and I slept really well all week.

There did not appear to be many staff at evening meal, and when large coach party staying the staff were rushed off their feet,with the manager sat drinking and chatting (he could have assisted).

Hubert was a great host and the swimming pool wonderful.

The staff were exceptional, always quick to look after you and good humoured.

You could really feel the pride this family took in their hotel- down to the tiny details in the bedrooms, the cleanliness of all rooms and the friendly smiles they gave.

The bathroom was compact and the room décor a little tired.The hotel is very friendly and efficiently run - in particular the food (4 courses each evening) exceeded expectations, and the restaurant service and management was polite, professional and quick.

Very friendly staff who made our stay extra special.

Owner and staff all so friendly, hotel was clean, warm and very comfy beds.
