The Staff is so friendly and the effort put on the food is extravagant.

But the most important reason is guest friendly and help fully personal .

Very friendly and helpful staff, especially after i mistakenly tipped the bell boy x10 what i thought i had.

Rixos Almaty is an elegant structure in a fine neighborhood, with friendly, helpful staff all throughout.

The lobby is amazing and motivated at the entrance with a lightening roof.

Liked the hotel, was there for 4 days for a conference and loved the open lobby, the nice large rooms and service was in general good!

Check In and Lobby :
The Check In was quick and efficient.

Best thing about this place is their spacious lobby and the breakfast.

Loved the croissants and coffee in the foyer for early departures and the palm court for drinks and a casual dinner.

The hotel is huge and located in a nice & safe part of town - we were impressed with the fine lobby with towering glass ceiling and overall reception staff and check in procedures were done efficiently.

There are several names, some of them I’d like to highlight: in the brasserie - Marzhan (taught me several words in kazak), Nurzhan (cooker) and Angeline (reception), in the front desk (Ruslan, Raiymbek and Hamra), in the lobby (Vera and Alila , always smiling 😃) and in the gym/spa (funny girl sorry forgot her name).

Great installations with a massive lobby where you will find boutiques, bars and a restaurant on a nice open like area covered by glass ceiling on the top of the building.

Perfect location, I think is best in this city,good service, huge Lobby, great rooms fine breakfast, intime atmosphere in the evening time , was my best experience of any 5 stars worldwide, want to get there back ASAP.

All the staff members at this hotel are helpful, especially the duty manager at the lobby.

Girls from guest relations desk helped me  getting to the airport in time for my flight and cuisine is remarcable, especially breakfast!

Il mio soggiorno in questo hotel è stato meraviglioso, ma la guest relations formidabile, disponibilità 10 e lode.

But honestly,the piece-de-resistance were the two girls Amina and Mery manning the Guest Relations desk.They went out of their way to explain the various things/activities/excursions that I could avail of.

I personally want to thank Miss Alua Maratbekkyzy from Guest Relation department, which made my both stays at Rixos Almaty very special.

We would like to thank all staff in Almaty Rixos, they were awesome, special thanks to concierge, public relations team, who helped us to organize taxi service in a few minutes, because we were very late and could miss our flight which was at 21:30pm.

The second employee to mention is Farida from customer relations that went above and beyond to accommodate every request and question that I had.

Thanks to Mery at guest relations for her warm welcome and kindness whenever I asked for help.

Had a pleasant stay here, especially due to the attentive and friendly staff at the guest relations desk who helped with travel suggestions and thorough research.

Guest relation and front office team are very helpfull.

the morning buffet is so good~ and the service and staff is the number one kind/ especially the guest relations Alua is very kind they try to solve problem as the best.

but guest relations were able to arrange a half day tour of the city and environs for me which was so good that I referred a colleague who'd joined me later in the week.

Guest relations in the hotel, acts as tourist agent and helped us in finding and arranging for visits and tours.

I would like to mention especially Nazeem from customer relations who is always around and available for any issue.

Very nice staff in the reception and guest relations.

My room smelled like an old couch and the floor heating in the bathroom was way to hot, even when the temp was mild.

Disadvantages: sometimes it’s a bit smelly in the room, I guess because of the carpet, it’s quite old.

Unfortunately got placed into a smoking room while here

Actually, multiple rooms were made up since I rejected one because the safe didn’t work and another because of cigarette smell (supposedly a non-smoking room).

After staying at the Rixos many many times in the non-smoking room, they don't seem to remember nor care too much.

I had to close the bathroom air vents since there was a smell of smoke coming through the vents (there seemed little air being sucked out through the vents which explained how smoke came in from other rooms that way).

Some suggestions for improvement: yes there may be some smoke smell in rooms,

Only 1 issue, local visitors smoked in non-smoking rooms and I had to smell that and were very loud and the room was only separated by a think wall and a door.

My room stank of sewage, and so I had to move to another one.

but it was me who run and begged them to change the room to non smokers.

although I wasn't given the option of a non-smoking room and I was therefore quite unhappy to be given a relatively smelly room!!

Finally I was offered a room on the 3rd floor that was a smoking room, which being a heavy non-smoker was hard to tolerate.

Toilet had the older fixed bidet that could be soiled easily.

Massage lady was absolutely unprofessional and difficult to communicate, water on the floor in a pool, bad smell in one of the saunas and some problem with the staff of the restaurant.

If you like old hotel designs and don’t mind cigarettes smell in a non smoking floor

However the areas need improvement as the guest rooms are old and sound insulation for noises from neighboring rooms and outside have been poor, the conference rooms down at the basement can experience strong smells from kitchen.

The next morning, all my clothes were stink of cigarettes smell, not to mention my skins on my fingers were the same.

The smoking lounge is rather poorly ventilated

but I had to open the window which can be loud and sooty smelling it.

The rooms were not clean and smelled smoke!

but didn't clear the drain, still leaked on the floor.

though the bedding smelled slightly of stale smoke.

but the best is the huge sprawling spa -sauna, steam & hamam and rest are..don't miss to use it.

The spa , Turkish baths , steam & sauna were also beautifully designed spaces with great ambience.

Super comfortable rooms, huge spa, dream breakfast (you can even eat Japanese!).

Beautiful lounge area, comfortable bed, good and clean spa, polite staff.

The pool and sauna areas are stunning and very well designed.

Good facilities, spa and pool areas are worth a visit.

The hotel has a very good health club ( sauna, hammam, steam room ) & gym/swim pool.

Their Spa contains good gym, 25m indoor swimming pool and they also offer massages and beauty treatments.

Lastly, most disappointingly, I checked out in the morning to go snowboarding, after which I wanted to use their sauna and fitness facilities (while waiting for my evening flight)

The spa facilities are excellent, and the indoor pool is the best we've ever experienced.

The spa was also excellent and highly recommend to take advantage of this amenity.

but the herbal smells emanating from the spa were very enticing.

The hotel staff did not show any involvement and desire to help in this situation.

Even they don’t say Good morning or how is everything at-least greetings should be.

Excellent hotel with a unique lobby at 30th floor with great views of the city & mountains.

I stayed one weekend night at the Ritz-Carlton, Almaty, enjoying a Lifetime Titanium upgrade to an executive room on a high floor with an amazing view of the city and mountains.

Great Food selection in the 30th floor Restaurant/Lobby with a great view to the city and the mountain.

It has a very urban vibe with great views of the city & ski jumps.

Great views of the city from the high rise tower.

The room was wonderful with a great view over the city .

The mountains and the city views are excellent from this hotel.

Very good sky bar and Vista restaurant outlets overlooking the city on the hotel 30th floor.

Great service all around and a really comfortable room with great views of the city and the mountains.

The reception area is spacious and elegant, with fine views over the city to the mountains beyond.

Pros
-	They gave us an upgrade to a corner suit..we could see the hills and the city in one view.

Based in a massive glass tower, with offices beneath and apartments above,  the RC affords the most spectacular views of the surrounding city and mountains.

Views over the city of Almaty are stunning from the upper lobby, especially at night.

The view of the mountains and the city from the hotel is very beautiful.

The unobstructed views of the mountains and of the city of Almaty below from the hotel's 30th floor lobby and guest rooms is mesmerizing.

The rooms are spacious and well-resourced with excellent views across the city and mountains.

Comfortable & good size rooms, fitted in amenities, excellent view of mountains and city part.

However, i was surprised by the bad soundproofing of the room (#2419), you can literally hear everything what is happening in the corridor, every-time somebody talk in the corridor or Open/Close the door of his/her room, you will hear it, so if you are sensitive to the noise, just ensure that you get a Room which is not located near the Lift Area…

He stopped us when we stepped out of the elevator, rudely asked where we were going and told us to leave the floor.

Adore 🥰 when the elevators are so confusing.

My only nit picky complaint is that while the hotel views are great, you are 30 floors up, and you have to take one elevator the lobby at 30, then switch elevators to go to your room.

You have to change lifts from ground to the reception floor and from there take another to the rooms.

We only stayed one night so did not have the time to get used to the unusal lift situation (2 lift areas, only one reaches the floors with the guest rooms).

Unfortunately the ground floor entrance also feels cramped, especially near the lift area.

The smell in the corridors and the elevators maid us feel sick.

but reception on the 30th floor which means 2 lifts need to be taken to access rooms.

The hotel is on the 30th floor so one has to take 2 lifts to get to the rooms which is a bit convoluted  and the worse was I didn't know how to control the lights in the room - no master switch.

The hotel takes something like 10 floors in the business and apartments building, so to get to you room you have to first go up to 30th floor, change elevator, and go down again, to 22th or whatever your floor will be.

To get to room, it is necessary to use at first one, and then other elevator is irritates a little.

The only difficulty is that first you need to take a lift up to 30th floor for lobby then you take another lift to go down to your rooms.

True, having to change lifts to get to the reception lobby first and then to your room may be a bit puzzling at first

It is confusing when you first arrive as you have to go upstairs to reception, and then back down another elevator to the guest rooms

The only draw back is going in different elevators to go to ground floor or your rooms.

Having to take two lifts to the room is quite inconvenient if you're regularly in/out or a smoker who needs to pop out to smoke.

Then you need to take another lift to the rooms level located below 30th floor.

The only strange point which is not very important is that reception is not at ground floor so you need to take first elevator to go to reception and after that another elevator to go to your room.

All the people working there very friendly and very well care about their clients !

All of the employees are extremely helpful and friendly and really go the extra mile to make guests feel welcome and special.

A hotel with unparalleled service and hospitality.

One of the few hotels in the world where one actually feels at home and where the desire to deliver the highest standards of service are clearly genuine.

All the staff in the Executive Lounge went out of their way to provide perfect service.

The service from all the staff was outstanding with everyone speaking very good English and going out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay.

What stood out was the personalised service with a genuine smile, the amazing breakfast of quality ingredients, the breathtaking views of the snow capped mountains from our corner room, the special warm bathroom floor 

The spa was good as well as the perfect temperature of the steam and sauna.

Overall the Ritz Almaty offers everything one expects--luxury, great views and top notch service.

Few days before my arrival I had the welcome e-mail from the staff from where I booked the pick-up service at my arrival at ALA Airport.

Best hotel ever for service, food and room.

I have not had such incredible service anywhere else in the world.

It was very close to a full service high end mall.

The views, service, food and experience was first class.

One of the best breakfast selections I’ve experienced and great customer service all around.

We also had drinks at the lobby bar and were happy with the choice and service.

The only thing that kept me every time from reporting for uncleaned numbers, broken cranes, broken displays in the rooms, other people’s hair when cleaning or handsets in tobacco is the front staff in the face of Talgat and Naz.

The shaving razors are of poor quality and ones skin burns after a shave.

but said it's a smoking room, dirty still, and check-in will be after 4 (was there at 2pm already).

They make you feel special..ah, and the smell is mind blowing ). Dont save on breakfast: you get all and more for the money paid (truffle paste, caviar, freshly squeezed healthy juices are some of them)

but then later switched to smoking room as I requested on next day.

Smoking is permitted only in rooms on the 21st floor.

I hope management reads this and changes that: very strong smell isn't pleasant.

you guys charge the highest price, so deduct the
view, smell and interior and what remains is just not enough.

If my room had also smelled like this, I would not have been able to sleep.

but were likely to ask for monies for the tobacco from the unsuspecting guests I had left behind.

The only room for improvement was the water in the jacuzzi at the spa was too cold and the floor in the sauna would burn your feet.

Brilliant given kazaks love their smoke and shisha

The trouble with this hotel is that it is facing some serious teething issues (and I hope  thats all that is to it).

The only drawback is that the Hotel is non-smoking

What really surprised me is how well each of the staff spoke English.

This woman at the reception( her name is Alexa) was such a sweetheart!

the staff were super kind and welcoming, the breakfast was top notch, and the room was so comfortable.

Special highlight to the whole great Team and especially to Meruyert // Azura // Regina !

but what really makes the Ritz Carlton Almaty stand out is the team.

His behavior is so arrogant and starstruck.

The staff were fantastic and so attentive.

First of all, I would like to express the sincere gratitude to Mr. Can Goktas, General Manager and his team for the extended hospitality and unforgettable moments.
