We stayed for one night to break up our journey driving to La Plagne for our ski holiday.

but all ok, just a little expensive for what it is.

but I think that actually the price is too high given the service and comfort.

Our double room cost about 47 euro / night.

however I would not expect that for the price

but kiosk in the foyer failed to recognise booking via ibis website

Fortunately more rooms were available so had to pay for two more which were £10 more expensive.

but as it was the worst at my holiday trip we  slept bad- better was to pay a little more and take other hotel.

However as we needed secure parking we chose the Ibis Budget, even tough it was on the edge of town, it was a small price to pay for peace of mind.

The choice of hotels in this town is very poor and this one is cheap - I paid about 40 Euros including breakfast.

However, it was cheap and the breakfast was OK. 

Biggest complaint was that the room heated up at night and so I had to open the window - which ordinarily is something I like to do,

but cheap and ok for one night also when you arrive late, because of credit card check-in when there's no staff.

We expected to get what we paid for in terms of simplicity and minimalism,

No smoking signs everywhere which are ignored.

The bathroom also smelt strongly of drains.

but what I didn't expect was a bed that was more like a rail-car couchette (firm plasticy stuff, like sleeping on a slightly padded bench) and the red-wine chunky vomit that ran down wall behind the main door.

Room was a decent size and clean, with an efficient air conditioning unit - much appreciated given the summer can be quite hot in this area.

Fairly clean given that they allow all sorts of pets.

The staff are always friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and functional  if a little dated.

I would return here as it has everything I could need for a couple of days , clean and central

After a long day on our bikes, we enjoyed a beer in the garden in the meadow, with a nice view into nature.

The evening restaurant is pleasant with a good selection of choice and all food served is of a good standard.

We didn't eat in the restaurant as the menu was uninspiring and there was an excellent café nearby for breakfast and other good restaurants in Albertville.

Okay for crashing in at night, hanging your clothes to dry from the shutters and eating cheap cafeteria style food before you go out and hit it again the next day.

There are two restaurants we ate at the French one the other being Italian , the food was wholesome and value.

Indifferent welcome in the restaurant, indifferent service and indifferent food.

It has quite good scenery, an outside pool, nice internal bar, quite a good restaurant and pizzeria.

Very good dinner with excellent wait staff.

The food is wonderful and the pool and tennis courts are a great asset and make your stay so pleasurable.

We were really discussed by the dirty carpet and filthy shower.

There was a smell of cooked food everywhere.

We kept the balcony doors open the whole time we were there and still it smelt.

They were up in the roof space with only a small skylight window for daylight ,had black mould growing up the walls and were dimly lit by a few lamps, there were no lifts to access the 3rd floor rooms, the bathroom was not pleasant either and extremely dated.

The staff are fantastic here, they make every effort to accommodate the guests in a warm and friendly manner.

After a warm welcome from  M and Mme Gay, we enjoyed a delicious meal, prepared by Bernard himself.

It’s been many years since I’ve  done a French road-trip holiday, and back in the 80’s and 90’s those trips were guided by Richard Binn’s’ French Leave books with their superb restaurant recommendations ranging from the simple to the 3 star Michelin.

Good for cycling or walking in the mountains.Enjoy superb food and wine in the restaurant with magnificent views over the mountains.

Dinner was excellent and beautifully presented.

We had dinner in their restaurant which was 4 courses for Euro 56 and very good, with wines from Euro20.

Great views with excellent food , the chicken in dumplings was delightful as was the whole meal with great lodgings as well.

The restaurant is just great, I recommended to taste their super cuisine!!!

The real highlight is the food prepared by Msr Gay.

Wonderfull people.The food was all home made,and high quality.

The rooms are spotlessly clean and the bed is comfortable.

While the interior is a little individual (think high-end seventies, seen through a filter of salmon pink), the beds were comfortable, the room spotless and I even had a jacuzzi with underwater lights.

The room was so clean and with a beautiful view on the mountains.

Perfect location, splendid mountains view and  especially super tasty Michelin restaurant with exciting journey through the ocean of various tastes of a high French cuisine.

We are reviewing the excellent restaurant - La chalet d Eglantine - separately.

The locals obviously know this, for the restaurant was very well supported for a Monday evening.

An added bonus was the food provided by the accompanying restaurant.

The breakfast menu was extensive and supper very nice.

The restaurant was closed on the Sunday evening so we went into Faverges to eat.

Tip- top cuisine and extensive breakfast menu.

although not large, and the restaurant well it is definitely worth returning for that alone.

The staff is very friendly, the rooms are nice, the restaurant food is just excellent.

Having said that, the food was excellent with great attention to detail with regards to presentation etc.

We were a group of 8 - no problems in accommodating us in the restaurant,

..the receptionist even went out of her way to provide us extra information on a wine route around the local vineyards.

The value for money is very good, the location is excellent, a few kilometres away from the lake and all the good bike routes, we even tackled half the Route Napoleons from there.

Stayed here for one night en route to the Tarrantaise Valley for a skiing holiday.

The bedrooms are of a good size, being in the older style, comfortable and clean.

This is a charming hotel, more than 200 years old, very comfortable, and all the modern conveniences.

Whilst most of the rooms are basic the beds are comfortable, water hot & hotel clean & quiet .

Room was generous size, clean and comfortable.

The room was very comfortable, with shutters that actually work to create a good sleeping environment.

Su-Chen and José De Anacleto, the owners looked after me and my 2 girls with such kindness and practicality.

but with own parking, it has all the atmosphere of a 240 year old hotel.

We had a superior room which was large and well furnished if rather old fashioned in a nice sort of way with a good modern bathroom.

Cozy quiet  bedroom on the 2nd floor with a large nice bathroom ( Plenty amenuities, hair dryer).

The Restaurant is newly decorated, and wonderfully well.

The hotel is very charming (it is not designed to a W Hotel) and Sue Chen is a very gracious host.

The Hotel Reception is very plush which may lead you to believe that the rooms will be reasonably appointed.

We were very impressed by the restaurant, the food was wonderful and the ambiance very good.

Unfortunately there are no beds in the corridor!

They have some weird ideas of decoration including a lamp in the front hall which looks like the servant mouse (Dobie) in Harry Potter!

but I think rather over priced for what you get.

There was no bottle of water and the room (and no mini-bar), access to Wifi is free for the first device, every additionel access / device costs 5€ a day.

The restaurant was very expensive so we eat in a brasserie just down the road.

The room cost €160 for the night and was much worse than a room at an Etap hotel.

However, the rooms are very clean, just a little bit old.

To get value from this hotel, you need to relax in the beautiful lounge over a drink or cup of tea, surrounded by wonderful paintings and ornaments, and then sample the Michelin quality food and service in the restaurant.

Traveled to france for a cycling trip with friends and was treated to world class service by the staff at Hotel Million.

Everything was perfect, the service, the rooms and the breakfast.

They offered an extraordinary menu, exceptional hospitality, and warm service.

To make this worse, incredible noise from a pub with a live band and “happy” clients yelling right across the street. Closing windows for less noise means sitting in a humid oven (the carpet!)

However, the hotel rooms are very basic - small bed, small table, small window, small washroom, one small piece of soap, etc.

So we closed the window and put on the air conditioner, it would not work.

And proceeded to pull back the drapes and opened the windows beside us, I was shocked!

At the restaurant they couls do better with the menu and for people staying there make an "affordable" breakfast so you are keen to take it there and not go to the centre of the village

Room are really basic and a refresh of the bedding could be done.

The rooms are basically a bed, sheets, a single wooden chair, Lino on the floor, single glazed windows, thin walls plus a shower room.

but it can be removed if you don't mind re-making the bed!

This place surely makes money during ski season; they ought to invest in furniture and linens that don't look like thrift-shop rejects.

This is our second year stopping on our way to the French Alps (La Plagne).

Friendly staff, clean room and absolute "value for money" .Restaurant surprisingly full.

I was in a single room which was clean and comfortable with plenty of hot water.

Although the room was clean and the people at the front desk were pleasant this hotel was so depressing that we only stayed long enough to decide neither of us wanted to stay there overnight.
