We had breakfast and lunch at the beach bar restaurant, and they were fantastic., Happy Holiday.

Their service went above  and beyond to make everything perfect for a relaxing beach holiday.

If you come to the El Dorado Seaside Palms make sure to find Suemy., again she is truly amazing and makes your vacation tops.

All in all a very Relaxed and Happy Vacation.

Overall, we have always enjoyed our vacations at El Dorado resorts and continue to recommend this brand.

Room was amazing and the views unreal, would recommend 100% to everyone who is thinking of going to Mexico for a honeymoon or a special holiday.

Overall: It was an enjoyable vacation with plenty of scenery at the resort.

Did not care too much for the Italian or culinario (seafood) Asian and Mexican restaurants were amazing, Asian was our absolute favorite.

Although she was very nice, we made a reservation for a table at the Mexican fiesta, only to find out that we needed to buy a bottle of tequila or champagne.

Special Events:
There is a fire night and Mexican night at the resort.

La Careta: (Mexican)
Great service, great food and lots of menu items.

However the Mexican I wouldn’t bother very tasteless.

The hotel did put on a variety of good quality entertainment events, with the Mexican Fiesta & Fire Shows particularly enjoyed.

although many of us agreed that the “Mexican restaurant” was well below par in its food and choice of authentic Mexican fare.

We also booked private tables at The Beach BBQ & fire show, The Mexican Fiesta Night & a Candlelit Dinner.

Mexican night, fire show night, silent disco, Circus night and you also have live music in each bar

While we didn't do the beach or Mexican buffet, the latter had some cool "food stations" that we visited for desert.

All of the restaurants were great and we loved all of the activities every night such as fire show, band, and Mexican traditional night!

If they offer you to buy the Mexican wine at the Italian and you have some spending money and love red wine (I love Pinot Nior back home) , BUY IT, it’s stunning so worth it. ENTERTAINMENT.

Me and my wife have really enjoyed the Mexican, Asian and the pub food.

though a little 'tamer' than we had imagined, we had hoped for a more Mexican experience.

Pina coladas.. and fish tacos at the Mexican.

but general chat about mexico and Mexican culture/ the resort

Food- the food is amazing here , we absolutely loved Mia Casa and La Carreta the Italian and Mexican .

Other Mexican restaurants have steak houses included in all-inclusive!

It gave off a Mexican vibe, rather than feeling like we’re back at home in your everyday modern hotel/house.

Make sure you attend Mexican night, the Fire show and the circus.

The rooms were spotless and so were the restaurants and reception.

Top it all the daily clean ensured the room was immaculate throughout the holiday.

The room was clean, spacious and functional what you would expect.

They made sure that we always had a good sunbed and couldnt do enough for us xx they are a asset to the hotel

Our room was clean and spacious and quite well equipped, the staff again proving themselves very attentive.

They keep on top of the room cleanliness.

The rooms are spotless and beautiful, the meals are fantastic, and the grounds are gorgeous.

Excellent, everyone was very friendly and helpful, our room was cleaned every day and facilities were brilliant .

Our maid Flor was great she always had our room clean and tidy for our return and the air conditioning was always on so we never came back to a boiling room.

The entertainment is also the best hotel/resort I have ever experienced and we did travel a lot and stayed only at 5* resorts.

This is my first time in mexico and I was enjoying because the entertainment team doing all amazing activities in the resort Benjamin, Daniel, Alejandro, Fernanda, Maria, jaidy, gabo, Mike thanks for all the things ❤️

The Dorado Mariachis - brilliant, female vocal lead has a tremendous voice, and watch out for the tall lean male dancer who really gives it some beans.

The day and nighttime entertainment was fantastic and one of the team members, Daniel, went all out to make sure everyone was having a good time, he really made everyone feel welcome and spent time getting to know guests so give them a personal touch.

Also the entertainment team are the friendliest people on the planet and beyond helpful and fun.

The entertainment staff were particularly brilliant, we had so much fun in and around the pool with Daniel, Alejandro, Jaide, Benjamin and Maria.

Entertainment staff are outstanding - Daniel is super fun and friendly and great at volleyball!

Arrive early for shows especially the more popular ones tables fill up fast!

We had such an amazing time here, the animation team really made it as incredible as it was, thank you so much Benjamin, Alejandro, Fernando, Jaidy, Daniel and Maria!!

As a young adult (24yr)  I would especially like to give a shout out to the Animation Team: Alejandro, Benjamin, Maria, Fernanda, Jaidy, Daniel and Gabo 

They are so much fun to be around and really bring a great energy to the resort and their smiles and laughter are so contagious it made my trip most memorable.

It was very entertaining and she is an excellent hostess!

Having travelled widely across  Europe ,Dom Republic ,Cuba, Mexico previously  and Egypt the Entertainment really made it for us. .

The room, the food, the staff and especially the entertainment team: Alejandro, Fernanda, Maria, Benjamin, Daniel and Jaidy.

The nighttime parties and silent disco was sooo much fun!

It doesn’t matter if it is your first, 10th or 20th visit… this trio is simply phenomenal in ensuring your needs are catered for!

It was unfortunate that the beach was always so full of seafood and on 2 of the days really smelled all over the resort.

It smelled bad outside due to the seaweed the first couple days.

On some occasions the cleaner did not attend which meant using damp towels for showers as they had not been replaced (no time to request replacement).

The beach was very smelly and unsightly looking,

* The amount of seaweed and the smell ( not everywhere).

-It would be nice if there were designated smoking and non-smoking sections on the beach.

(smelled) 6 flights of steps every time I went to the pool.

There 2 weeks and had to share a sun lounger with my husband as all taken at 630am when we did reserve one we found our towels had been removed. Unable to go to the beach due to the awful smell of sulphur from the seaweed (I know its Mother Nature

Bad:
- There was an extremely pungent smell in the Palms section.

The reason we always have a swim up and its to just chill and enjoy the quiet I don’t want to be listening to some gangster rapper at 11am at full volume about being shot or just swearing disgusting music which is even worse by the group who decide to sing along at the top of there lungs.

The seaweed has been so severe that the beach is completely unusable and smells like a sewage plant… it sucks

8th gave us wrong pickup location for our travel home we where 45 mins late to the airport not a great time 

9th beach sucked seaweed all over it smelled gross and the part you could use was taken up by huge trucks to truck away seaweed so could not enjoy it 

10th switch our mattress out the last two nights in our room to a terrible one that was so uncomfortable.

There was a strange smell, which did linger outside our room

The only con I would say was the smoking. ha.

We could only notice it in our room within the wardrobe area, you'd get a musty waft when you opened the wardrobe door, that was a shame,

I wish I had brought a candle to cover up the smell.

- There are inconsiderate smokers everywhere on the beach – Americans mostly with no self awareness.

When we arrived it had been raining and the smell of foist in our  room was over powering when we first arrived

Much of the resort smelled of sulfur/sewage.

I cant say how much I appreciated his efforts and care for our table and everyone around him - The meal was exceptional, authentic, mexican had and having him as a waiter made the experience even that much better.

From freshly grilled meats, to sushi, to Mexican dishes - we also found something to enjoy.

And the mexican was ok, not terrific, I was really hoping for some amazing Mexican,

We ate at the Mexican restaurant which everyone thought it was okay.

Food - huge choice of variety and the meals we had out were fantastic, the best one was Mediterranean, our least favourite was the Thai and Mexican, I thought the Mexican would be more authentic given we were in Mexico.

Breakfast was brilliant; can’t fault it really it has a great selection and plenty of options (there are 3 places to eat breakfast) 

Lunch we tended to use the beach BBQ which is ok and has the same options everyday of Mexican tacos and salads and burgers (kids happy with this) 
Pizza to takeaway from Italian was very good!

Had better steaks, in Mexican,Italian and Mediterainean.

I would highly recommend the Mediterranean, Japanese and Brazilian restaurants, and advise you avoid the French and Mexican ones (note.

We especially enjoyed the Mediterranean and Mexican where we once again had exceptional service by Javier and Jeremiah.

We eat at the Mexican the Brazilian the Thai and the steak house as well.

We really enjoyed the Grease show and the Mexican folklore.

Great selection of traditional Mexican food.

We did the Mediterranean (absolutely delicious food), Steakhouse (excellent as well and servers so happy and joyful) and the Mexican (not very good, food was disappointing, even the Margaritas we ordered were not drinkable).

Lorena gets extra marks for toiling away under the hot Mexican sun, tray fully loaded at all times.

A la cartes

Ate at the Japanese, Mexican, steak house, italian, thai and Brazilian.

However the Italian, Mexican and Mediterranean food were amazing.

The Japanese and Brazilian we really enjoyed, the steak house wasn’t very nice and the Mexican we did on my bday night and considering this was their own cuisine we were very disappointed.

The shows vary from Broadway, Mexican, rock,  70s fever, grease etc which are very entertaining and very good (Alejandro from entertainment).

Hotel cleanliness in and outside the room is great!

Rooms were clean and sanitized, you knew it was sanitized because it was spotless and shiny, on the floors and walls, everything was wiped down.

Exceptional service friendly staff and very personable and friendly and funny great food full of flavour amazing drinks beautiful beach clean rooms beautiful landscaping lots of iguanas and monkeys rooms are big and the drinks are really good

Hand sanitizers are available, rooms are clean, and all staff is wearing marks.

The room was clean and had a stocked fridge.

The main gripe with the room was the cleanliness.

We really like  this place , big and clean abd great food, servis was outstanding, Ice from concierge was best, very helpful person and so nice,Martha maid our room clean and shiny every day, made a lot of nice thing for kids from towels, Bellboys Paco, Alan and Juan made our life easier a lot, weel done boys a relaxed completely, great stuff, 10stars for workers and 9 stars for food and drinks, delfin swimming is also on property

Rooms were clean ,roomy and comfy beds.We felt safe.Conceirges were amazing (every hotel block)theater entertainment was wonderful,lazy river was relaxing,a la carts were Great .

Very clean linens and the whole room was very clean.

HOUSEKEEPER CARMELA GOMEZ, so amazing, friendly and our room was spotlessly clean every day with replenished towels and toiletries.

There was an unfortunate sewage smell sometimes,

You had to walk down a flight of stairs and through the lobby to go pee.

It is dirty, smells, and the workers are very incompetent.

Her and her friend were stuck in a nasty  room for over 7 hours before they finally moved them, after both her and I calling constantly.

The last two days there it got better and the smell was bearable

but it had a musty smell to it and is long overdue a refurb.

The room itself was so stuffy that the smell of mildew was overwhelming.

Also for some reason - each time we came back into our room, it always smelled like pee.

It has got to the point where we can’t even face walking into the restaurant because of the smell.

The room was dirty when we arrived - floors hadn’t been swept (we took videos) and the shower floor was filthy.

The room key didnt work so no electric, we was stood around in the dark damp and cold as we had major delays at Cancun airport and we had been in torrential rain.

Water is clear, no weeds, no smell like on some other resorts.

When we were here the seaweed was horrible…to the point that there was no one even on the beach or in the water and it had an odor to it.

But for someone who hasn't been during a bloom, the smell is overpowering in some areas; However this is not a Grand Sirenis problem.

One of the outlet doesn't work, drain was blocked and toilet has its own distinct smell.

Seaweed- it was so bad that it stunk up the entire beach and no one was near it.

This was our first spa experience and it was lovely - we had a couples Swedish massage & then a facial each, followed by hydrotherapy.

Spa is a must do, recommend the hydrotherapy and if you’re up for it, the massage as well.

Many pools, lazy river, amazing spa and daily dolphin show at no charge.

I went to the spa and tried the water therapy and it was so relaxing, you gotta try it.

The spa is world class and definitely worth a visit for at least the hydrotherapy circuit.

The spa with hydrotherapy was absolutely stunning and the most beautiful spa I’ve ever seen!

The spa juice bar at the beach was my go-to for smoothies with fresh fruit.

Also I would advise paying for any spa treatments prior to check out as we had a right nightmare with that too.

We thought we’d use the spa as we like to spa back in the UK,

Extras: I had a facial in the spa cost about £60 and my son did a shallow skuba dive approx £120, where he saw moray eel and sun fish.

Also, off in the distance you can see that they added on an entire section for members by the spa.

At the spa we had Carmen + Elena do our hair and makeup they are awesome did an amazing job.

You can swim with dolphins, go to the spa, snorkel or even scuba dive!!

Pool and restaurant, beach, concierge, bar, gardeners, maintenance, tour guides, lobby, dolphin, spa, bellboys, drivers, shows, YOU’RE DOING GREAT!

Thai and Brazilian restaurants are a must - gorgeous food

We tried the steakhouse, Thai, Japanese & Brazilian and would definitely recommend the Japanese.

There is only 2 things that could be improved the thai restaurant food was so good & tasty

We didn’t like the Thai a la carte restaurant because the food was mediocre

We went to the steakhouse  Italian Thai and Japanese restaurants all great food.

The Thai restaurant was just ok. Because it was our 25th wedding anniversary we asked for an extra al la carte and we chose the Mediterranean.

We had Japanese; Italian, Thai and Mediterranean!

I actually wished I picked Japanese or Thai.

We ate at the steak house, Japanese and Thai, they were all great

but not quality cuts), Brazilian (tough not good meat) and the Thai (probably the best of the 4).

That being said, the Al La Carte meals we had (Thai, Med, Japanese & Brazilian) were certainly a 5 Star experience & exceeded our expectations with great food, presentation & service.

Special mention to Carlos in the steak house, Thomas in the Mexican, max in the Thai and Abraham in the Italian.

but Carlos from the steak restaurant, Tomas from the Mexican, Abraham from the Italian and nathahel and max from the Thai.

We tried the steak house, Italian and Thai - all excellent.

As for the Ala-Cartes, we dined at the Japanese, Thai and Italian restaurant.

Having delayed this holiday due to Covid and then having to pay another £500 on top of the original price, I thought well it will be a gorgeous, relaxing holiday with a bit of pampering.

After reading negative reviews I was hesitant to book….can I just say it turned out to be one of our best holidays, was pleasantly surprised.

Good luck if you book just now it’s not a personal holiday experience your just a number money money money that’s certainly how it feels like herding cattle and to feel like that I would not be paying close to 4 grand for the privilege.

I have many allergies the chef was awesome last trip I had no issues they made sure all food was ok and no needle for me also have a heart condition which I never had any issues with and trust me vacation 3 to 4 times a year this hotel so far the best if you have issues in fact it's one I can trust and am taking my 91 year old father in law which says a lot cause I can trust they will make everyone comfortable and happy

The main reason we will return , traveled all over the world over 15 holidays , the best we have ever seen.

Having read the reviews we were so worried to stay, after we booked our holiday we even went to TUI to look at cancelling

Overall, we enjoyed our family vacation and would return to this resort again.

Hopefully the revamped Secrets silver sands now known as the Hyatt Zira will save this vacation for us.

No need to worry as its been a great holiday.

I will break it down into three simple categories to keep it all separate.

All in all we had a brilliant stay and an excellent holiday.

The train takes you to the Hacienda which has a number of shops selling the usual holiday gifts etc.

Just come back after spending 10 nights here, here's my honest account of our holiday 

Rooms 
Our room was a superior junior suite, the room was spacious and yes it did smell a little musky

I always have a few holiday massages so have a lot to compare to, Karen is up there.

The entertainment team here are wonderful- by far the best entertainment team we have had on any holiday!!!

The pools, two huge pools, two jacuzzi pools and one ‘water park’ for the little kids

The grounds; beautifully maintained, with lots of 
interesting and friendly wildlife

The entertainment, constant if that’s what you want; one pool bouncing, the other much quieter 

The bars; tip, be polite and they’ll look after you 

Daily maid service and daily restocking of the mini bar

A very comfy bed

A La carte restaurants make a welcome break from the buffet

Free snorkels, kayaks and paddle boards

Beach is nice!

Gluten free section, healthy section, almond milk, coconut milk & many more 
Mexican section with chicken & beef 
Healthy juices over 6 to choose & so much more … how can people on TA say there’s not much ???

Iguanas, coatimundis (Mexican raccoons) and agouti ( mini capybara) live peacefully in the grounds of the hotel- if you are like me and are up early you will be treated to families of coatimundis going about their day- digging for food, playing and minding their own business!

The Restaurants are all amazing, the Japanese show table is good, the Thia at Tulum is awesome, the Italian is great and Tequila, the Mexican was one I wanted to hit twice.

The Brazilian, Mashua, and Mexican were also all excellent I must say.

but limited, we booked into a couple of the theme restaurants, average too except the Tequila Mexican restaurant at the TULUM this was excellent, would have eaten here every night if we could.

As expected

Tequila Mexican restaurant for a la carte was sub par.

Food was good, service really good, hard working Mexican people- thank you!
