PTC worked closely with BDExperience and adjusted our return time (originally 0630 in the morning) to 0745 which was was way better and also allowed us to grab breakfast at Capricho before we left.

Breakfasts gave the option of both buffet and a la carte, which was great.

We would recommend breakfast on the terrace at Helios!

Helios: The breakfast / brunch buffet spread was incredible.

The buffet / a la carte for breakfast and lunch are great.

We ate breakfast mostly in Helios and the waiter Daniel, and chefs Roberto and Alonzo were amazing and always ensure that he had the most varied vegan food for lunch and for breakfast.

We were able to give a spider monkey a banana for breakfast one morning.

The view was so great and the food and drinks were yummy.

The food was delicious: the bruschetta and buratta were amazing; the pizza crust was perfect (recommend the Ham, artichoke, and olive); our entrees were cooked perfectly, BUT the dessert was our favorite!!!

We spend the majority of time by the infinity pool, eating breakfast and lunch at Helios, where all the staff were fantastic and greeted us by name every morning, food and drink was of high standard with great cocktails and great service, even bringing us cocktails in the pool.

but we particularly enjoyed tentazione and the breakfast in Helios was amazing.

You won't have to walk too many places as there are plentiful buggies on regular routes around the property.

The fondue, lamb ossobucco, coq au van, and apple pie all lacked flavour.

He served us breakfast every day overlooking the ocean and he made our last morning really special and he was so attentive and caring!

Best place fir breakfast : order from the menu or have the choice of anything in a gourmet buffet style

The food at the restaurant was delicious.

Buffets were generally high quality at TRS.

While I’m typically not a buffet person, after a few mornings of ordering off the menu, I found out I enjoyed the offerings at the Helios buffet.

It was absolutely a wonderful vacation for us!

We can safely say this was the best holiday we’ve experienced.

Also special thanks to the duty manager, Braulio, who did his best to enjoy our holidays and made sure that we could leave in time when our taxi did not show up.

Highly recommend for a special occasion or a luxurious getaway!

This was a great couples getaway destination and I would recommend to anyone looking for a romantic relaxing getaway with great food.

Just returned from a fabulous holiday at TRS Yucatan.

I have never been on such a beautiful, relaxing vacation!

We also would like to highly commend Martha at Helios who was friendly , accommodating , and looked after us throughout our entire holiday.

A daytrip to the maya ruins in Tulum, a snorkel adventure with sea turtles, a swim in a cenote followed with an authentic mexican dinner in a local restaurant of the beaten path, made our mini vacation complete.

Absolutely 100 percent best vacation I have ever experienced.

After two great trips to TRS Coral resort including our wedding back in February 2023 we decided to give TRS Yucatan a try on a long weekend, pre-holiday getaway and it did not disappoint!!!

Luckily, there was a nice couple that had a private company they booked outside of the hotel for airport transport that heard what was going on and offered us to get a ride with them if the company they were with allowed - the company did

We had private reformer Pilates classes with the resorts trainer, Elizabeth, every morning (which are included at no extra charge!).

There is a private TRS section with a bar and food and the ocean is amazing with such soft sand!

Next to our private pool, on the beach, along the winding pathway, in the pretty water feature.

We loved sitting outside by the private pool and using the pool since we went during one of the hottest, humid months of the year there.

Our suite with a large private infinity pool was spectacular and allowed us to seclude ourselves and enjoy some time together each day.

It is surrounded by jungle and felt very private.

We used the jacuzzi a few times, it worked great, was quiet and felt private.

but if I went back in the summer I would get the private pool.

Wonderful breakfasts at Capricho every morning, followed by relaxations at the tidal pool or private TRS beach drinking exotic elixers recharged our batteries.

We also utilized our private pool which had lovely shade on the day we couldn’t find anything.

There is a private TRS beach area about a fifteen minute walk from the TRS main area.

but quite private, and was pleasant at the end of the day.

Whilst there we booked a private romantic dinner at the Ixmucane Grand Cenote which was so lovely.

I feel this one was north worth it than the romance buglalo that was a “upgrade” we were right next to the infinity pool and had a private pool to ourselves.

Very knowledgable, kept to a good schedule and readjusted the trip so we visited the cenote first so we could have a private swim!

It was a great experience to have the option to try both rooms

If you need to take a shower before your room is ready, they have a very clean little private shower space for men and women (see attached photo).

however they do smell damp and musty, as does the bedding.

As much as we tried to get rid of the smell, it persisted throughout our stay.

All of our clothes and room smell like mildew.

but smelled like mildew for our entire stay.

The smell was overpowering and our clothes were constantly wet.

The Room-
We stayed in block 69 it did have a musty smell about it, not sure what it is it did not seem to go either whilst we were there, our room had the jacuzzi on the balcony

As it is in most humid places, the pillows and sheets smelled moldy/sour.

The room had a terrible smell and we experienced a power outage twice!

The rooms with the jacuzzi do not have a damp (I use that word lightly no rooms has a bad smell) smell at all they are probably the better condition of the rooms especially top floor the room cleaning and turn down was always perfect .

Would I class it as a 5* hotel definitely not more like 3.5 at a push, room was musty and damp and really smelt, everything looked a bit tired, food was hit and miss, some restaurants were better than others, wine was awful unless you pay more for better wine.

Your basket will consist of stale bread and cold unseasoned steak slices.

This room had no issues with smells or allergy triggers,

Great experience would go agian ,but I wouldn't get the pool suite next time due to the fowl smell coming from the standing water by our room and the cart guys that pick you up if you weren't from their hotel like Colonial they wouldn't take anywhere I would have to wait for an TRS buggy.

The only downfall was a strong smell of drains in our room and the attitude of a male receptionist at Zentropia…we were hardly ever in the room so decided not to complain and for the receptionist…hmm let’s just assume he had a bad day.

People were smoking at the sun loungers and even in the pool despite there being a non smoking policy.

Also, some stains on the toilet and molds in shower room

They advertise the wish list but it was something we never got which was disappointing, daily we had to ask for fridge to be topped up 
Overview the hotel it's nice but  felt there was alot of inconsistencies.

We were not expecting to be choking on cigarette smoke in a country where it is apparently illegal to smoke except in designated areas.

We were on honeymoon so it was about relaxing, last two days was slightly impacted  by next door smoking drugs on the balcony & partying all night.

The Spa is amazing and so are the pools and the beach.

Language barrier (expected based on non-English-speaking location/culture), inconsistent service quality and cleanliness of the spa were the downsides

butlers, reception, spa, bellboys) they were all magnificent.

This year  I needed a longer more intense massage and Victor did an amazing job for me at the spa.

We had massages at the spa and it was great.

The spa was nice, and we enjoyed massages and the hydrotherapy experience.

We also used the Spa where my wife had a massage and we both used the hydrotherapy circuit, this is a pleasant place to spend the afternoon to relax with a very chilled atmosphere

Spa and facilities were the state of the art.

We got appointments for two massage sessions which were very communicative and accommodating.

Zentopia, the resorts spa and gym were perfect and had everything we needed in terms of weights and cardio equipment.

Other
We enjoyed a couples massage, make sure you go early to enjoy the rest of the facilities and the juice bar.

Spa:  We adored the Zentropia Spa and pool.

The Zentropia spa was a very tranquil and relaxing experience from start to finish.

All three of us had massages at Zentropia, which where nice,

Friendly service from all the staff, from Uziel at check in, check out to the constant attention of our Butlers Antonio, Daniel and Miguel, our waiter Fernando at El Gaucho and rest of the wait staff, pool staff, spa staff, drivers, bartender's and housekeepers.

Good buffet, served by the fabulous Marcelino Boakche who was very welcoming in the main buffet.

Mayrani the chef is an amazing cook the beef was to die for would have it again starter was Mediterranean salad waiter was very helpful and polite dessert is delicious I would love to come to the Mediterranean restaurant again

We really enjoyed the food at the Italian Buffet theme.

One good experience was one concierge was able to get us a roll of medical tape at a late hour to wrap my partners foot due to a foot injury.

We can both be quite fussy and we pretty much always enjoyed the main buffet!

The buffet was really good, the Mediterranean restaurant was great, the Brazilian one could have had some more flavour!!

The themed restaurants are a great way to break up the monotony of eating at buffets.

Definitely would recommend sitting in his section at the buffet for morning / lunch.

They were doughy in the middle and inedible.

The a la carte restaurants are all delicious.

Food at the buffet's was mostly good, nothing great and every once in awhile you would come across a dud.

The room is spacious and clean, there was plenty of choice with regards food from the buffet restaurant to the snack bar to the free room service menu to the Al la carte restaurants.

If you want to eat anything before or after then, you’d be lucky to find any buffet open.

Our server at breakfast and lunch was Julio Chan, he is awesome.

In particular Marcelino Che and Marcel from the Tulum Breakfast Buffet offered the most exceptional service.

Jose oxte in the steak house buffet is an old friend since 2015 bustling about with his usual happy smile not a care in the world

I cant say how much I appreciated his efforts and care for our table and everyone around him - The meal was exceptional, authentic, mexican had and having him as a waiter made the experience even that much better.

From freshly grilled meats, to sushi, to Mexican dishes - we also found something to enjoy.

And the mexican was ok, not terrific, I was really hoping for some amazing Mexican,

We ate at the Mexican restaurant which everyone thought it was okay.

Food - huge choice of variety and the meals we had out were fantastic, the best one was Mediterranean, our least favourite was the Thai and Mexican, I thought the Mexican would be more authentic given we were in Mexico.

Breakfast was brilliant; can’t fault it really it has a great selection and plenty of options (there are 3 places to eat breakfast) 

Lunch we tended to use the beach BBQ which is ok and has the same options everyday of Mexican tacos and salads and burgers (kids happy with this) 
Pizza to takeaway from Italian was very good!

Had better steaks, in Mexican,Italian and Mediterainean.

I would highly recommend the Mediterranean, Japanese and Brazilian restaurants, and advise you avoid the French and Mexican ones (note.

We especially enjoyed the Mediterranean and Mexican where we once again had exceptional service by Javier and Jeremiah.

We eat at the Mexican the Brazilian the Thai and the steak house as well.

We really enjoyed the Grease show and the Mexican folklore.

Great selection of traditional Mexican food.

We did the Mediterranean (absolutely delicious food), Steakhouse (excellent as well and servers so happy and joyful) and the Mexican (not very good, food was disappointing, even the Margaritas we ordered were not drinkable).

Lorena gets extra marks for toiling away under the hot Mexican sun, tray fully loaded at all times.

A la cartes

Ate at the Japanese, Mexican, steak house, italian, thai and Brazilian.

However the Italian, Mexican and Mediterranean food were amazing.

The Japanese and Brazilian we really enjoyed, the steak house wasn’t very nice and the Mexican we did on my bday night and considering this was their own cuisine we were very disappointed.

The shows vary from Broadway, Mexican, rock,  70s fever, grease etc which are very entertaining and very good (Alejandro from entertainment).

There was an unfortunate sewage smell sometimes,

You had to walk down a flight of stairs and through the lobby to go pee.

It is dirty, smells, and the workers are very incompetent.

Her and her friend were stuck in a nasty  room for over 7 hours before they finally moved them, after both her and I calling constantly.

The last two days there it got better and the smell was bearable

but it had a musty smell to it and is long overdue a refurb.

The room itself was so stuffy that the smell of mildew was overwhelming.

Also for some reason - each time we came back into our room, it always smelled like pee.

It has got to the point where we can’t even face walking into the restaurant because of the smell.

The room was dirty when we arrived - floors hadn’t been swept (we took videos) and the shower floor was filthy.

The room key didnt work so no electric, we was stood around in the dark damp and cold as we had major delays at Cancun airport and we had been in torrential rain.

Water is clear, no weeds, no smell like on some other resorts.

When we were here the seaweed was horrible…to the point that there was no one even on the beach or in the water and it had an odor to it.

But for someone who hasn't been during a bloom, the smell is overpowering in some areas; However this is not a Grand Sirenis problem.

One of the outlet doesn't work, drain was blocked and toilet has its own distinct smell.

Seaweed- it was so bad that it stunk up the entire beach and no one was near it.

This was our first spa experience and it was lovely - we had a couples Swedish massage & then a facial each, followed by hydrotherapy.

Spa is a must do, recommend the hydrotherapy and if you’re up for it, the massage as well.

Many pools, lazy river, amazing spa and daily dolphin show at no charge.

I went to the spa and tried the water therapy and it was so relaxing, you gotta try it.

The spa is world class and definitely worth a visit for at least the hydrotherapy circuit.

The spa with hydrotherapy was absolutely stunning and the most beautiful spa I’ve ever seen!

The spa juice bar at the beach was my go-to for smoothies with fresh fruit.

Also I would advise paying for any spa treatments prior to check out as we had a right nightmare with that too.

We thought we’d use the spa as we like to spa back in the UK,

Extras: I had a facial in the spa cost about £60 and my son did a shallow skuba dive approx £120, where he saw moray eel and sun fish.

Also, off in the distance you can see that they added on an entire section for members by the spa.

At the spa we had Carmen + Elena do our hair and makeup they are awesome did an amazing job.

You can swim with dolphins, go to the spa, snorkel or even scuba dive!!

Pool and restaurant, beach, concierge, bar, gardeners, maintenance, tour guides, lobby, dolphin, spa, bellboys, drivers, shows, YOU’RE DOING GREAT!

Thai and Brazilian restaurants are a must - gorgeous food

We tried the steakhouse, Thai, Japanese & Brazilian and would definitely recommend the Japanese.

There is only 2 things that could be improved the thai restaurant food was so good & tasty

We didn’t like the Thai a la carte restaurant because the food was mediocre

We went to the steakhouse  Italian Thai and Japanese restaurants all great food.

The Thai restaurant was just ok. Because it was our 25th wedding anniversary we asked for an extra al la carte and we chose the Mediterranean.

We had Japanese; Italian, Thai and Mediterranean!

I actually wished I picked Japanese or Thai.

We ate at the steak house, Japanese and Thai, they were all great

but not quality cuts), Brazilian (tough not good meat) and the Thai (probably the best of the 4).

That being said, the Al La Carte meals we had (Thai, Med, Japanese & Brazilian) were certainly a 5 Star experience & exceeded our expectations with great food, presentation & service.

Special mention to Carlos in the steak house, Thomas in the Mexican, max in the Thai and Abraham in the Italian.

but Carlos from the steak restaurant, Tomas from the Mexican, Abraham from the Italian and nathahel and max from the Thai.

We tried the steak house, Italian and Thai - all excellent.

As for the Ala-Cartes, we dined at the Japanese, Thai and Italian restaurant.

This was my eighth trip & im never disappointed!

We ordered breakfast on our last day and it was delicious.

Everything is excellent apart from the food in the buffet.

We never really ate dinner at the buffet restaurants as there was so many a la carte restaurants to choose from.

You get to use the facilities in the other Bahia hotels each having its own vibe 
Food is excellent, both at the buffet and at the a la cartes.

The buffet was great and the excursions were awesome.

The buffet had dishes of pretty much every type, Mexican food, Sushi, various caseroles, meat and pasta dishes, as well as freshly grilled meat and fish, freshly made pasta dishes etc.

The staff were very good indeed especially the staff in the adults breakfast and los corales steak restaurant- Agustin, Objulia, and Fernandez were brilliant!

The buffet restaurant and the service within it are what really let’s the hotel down.

As it was getting late we dropped our luggage and went to the buffet for food.

I like the fresh to made egg and pasta stations in the buffet.

Omelettes are cooked to order each morning.

The other nights we dined at the buffet and the first few nights/days was good and than you know you get tired of it

We ate in the buffet on the first night while we downloaded the app and booked the a la cartes for every night of our stay.

The food was plentiful and the variety of restaurants was very good indeed , a little difficult to book into originally

The buffet at Akumal was nice, I never got bored of the varieties of breakfast and evening foods on offer.

Olivia was our waitress a number of times for breakfast and lunch and she was excellent.

My day consisted of eating at the buffet, which had a large selection of food to choose from.

A special mention to the young lady who cooks fresh pasta in the buffet restaurant af lunchtime.

The buffet restaurant In Akumal is far too hot!

Few pools around the resort only went in the main pool down by reception and the one by our room enfinity pool,
We ate in the buffet main area and in the Los Carlos restaurant for breakfast ,typical buffet that you can get no matter where you go in the world we had no complaints with breakfast and lunch ,can jump to either coba ,tulum or sian Khan

Went her a family of 7 one of whom was gluten and dairy free and they were absolutely amazing in going out of their way to make our grandson a lovely pasta meal 
And we he most delicious dessert 
All the others had amazing food and the service was excellent , the best service by far !!!

Buffet meals were of a high standard always something for everyone to enjoy.

Food: we had breakfast and lunch in the adult section of the main buffet everyday.
