Upon entering the hotel, the smell of cigarette/musty smell was overwhelming
The carpets in the hallways were disgusting and stained, the elevator and pool was not operational,

The rugs in the hallway are moldy in some spots and just overall gross.

We were told that it would be inconvenient for other guests who might want to walk down the hallway.

1- no one on the desk after contacting them at 12:30am and 1:30am to stop the drunk parents and their children from running the halls and yelling , staff did nothing.

The hotel hallways were dirty and stained.

The hallway carpets are very dirty and stained and the grounds are overgrown with weeds.

This goes double for the disgusting carpet in the main hallways.

A big stench of cigarette was coming from the hallways into the suites.

Loud partying in hallways where there was booze and no one wearing masks.

The walls were a bit thin (we could hear some kids running in the halls),

Security was a nightmare any time the kids tried to play in the hall or rooms.

The staff were very rude, the hallways were very dirty and smelly.

Very strict on the rules for sports teams, I.e no running/loitering in the halls,

the room wreaked of marijuana and the halls wreaked of tobacco.

The hallways were lined with linen carts and to get to the pool you had to shimmy around them.

The carpet in the hallway was equally as old, dirty, and worn with a strong humid and cigrarette like smell radiating from all over.

When I called the front desk to ask for a new room, I was asked to come down and get the keys (cards) for a room down the hall.

but people must have been smoking in their rooms since the hallway really smelled of cigarette smoke.

If you want a clean room with great service this is the place.

Stayed at his hotel over the weekend one good thing I have to say is frzana was the one who worked very hard made sure my room was clean.

the rooms are very clean, well appointed and comfortable.

Gf and I booked a night out  excellent clean rooms ( even it is a smoking room)  very well kept place   quiet.

Room was clean, bed comfy & quite quiet considering the 401 is so close.

Our room was clean and had good amenities (fridge, microwave, toiletries).

First off I will say that the room was clean!

We needed to deal with family matters and travellodge was there for us, clean rooms great breakfast and lots of parking.

The staff are friendly and rooms are clean.

The room was clean and had a microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker and widescreen tv.

Room was clean and well appointed, including a microwave.

Although the room was clean the smell was horrible!

The rooms were very clean,the beds are very comfortable, the breakfast had a good selection of foods, my kids loved the pool & the adults enjoyed the hot tub.

Bedding was stained and had cigarette burns.

"Hot Breakfast" if thats what you'd call it was disgusting.

Scent of marijuana and tobacco lingered everywhere and staff were complacent about it.

Room was dirty, smoke detector and bathroom fan were hanging from the ceiling, pillow had a huge brown stain (about big as a disc), red stains on the wall and door (hopefully ketchup, and not blood), it was disgusting.

The room was very outdated and we unfortunately got stuck in a non-smoking room beside smoking rooms.

How is it that 20 years after smoking was banned indoors in Ontario, this building still reeks of cigarettes?

The floors and walls are stained and there is a constant smell of "old imbedded smoke".

This hotel is run down and smells like cigarette residue from years past.

The hotel smelled of smoke as soon as we entered (cigarette and marijuana).

We had 2 rooms were both just discussing and stinky needs major over haul everything so outdated bath shower so disgusting and stained.

The stains on the carpets were absolutely disgusting.

On top of the price they post a sign saying “complementary breakfast will be charged a 15% gratuity”.

They charge $13.95 per person for a small breakfast buffet, which was disappointing and not very appetizing.

Weird foam floating in the hot tub in the pool area, not enough hot water for my wife and I the morning of our departure, mold on the caulk in the shower, stank in the air, double charged at breakfast. .

To their credit they offered us another beer at no additional cost.

Yes, you may charge my credit card the $4,506.57 that we owe.

We were told twice it was a 10.95 special and we were billed 24.00 for a small pizza.

As we walked in late night the hotel has you scan your card to enter as a security measure. Yet the front desk clerk implied we weren't supposed to be there as he said in a snarky voice, "do you even have reservations here?"

Rude experience, hhonors points room assured nothing put oin card then subject to demands about funds to be chzarged and held as if I was doing a pre pay, which even still then Ive had better expoerience with pre paid bookings who are upfront abpout security holds and charge at chekout everything else added.

I checked my credit card statement when it came in and they had charged me $200.

Its a little unfair to charge extra for less space.

Infuriated I went to get new key cards and was met by another crew of drinking people from a bachelor party or something in the elevator.

You can guess what happened when trying to charge something to my CC a few days later . .

K-Cups came with room and more could be asked for no extra charge.

Around 10pm I went out for a smoke, to the exit closest to the elevators, to find out that key card would not open the door and I had to walk around the dark building to the front entrance.

They practically ignored us except to take our credit card.

The lamps on the nightstands had outlets in them so you could charge your phones.

The group continued to party until the early morning hours.

though it was a bit noisy - which was no fault of the hotel - the hockey team parents on our floor seemed to be having a party on the floor - and thankfully the party did break up at a reasonable hour.

Too bad, it would have made a nice exit gift from our party.

Of course, unless there are wedding parties going on.

but avoid a room on the highway side, it's very loud.

A hockey team rolled in - decided they were the 'only' guests in the hotel - yelling - playing 'hockey' -running up & down the hallways- b/c 'they are a hockey team'.

although it's very small (OK for kids to play around in).

but a little loud being by the elevators.

Then noisy guests started coming back from parties and could not sleep till 3am in the morning.

There was a loud party across the hall -- some sort of professional convention after-party.

Hotel was 98% full with hotel staff very minimal for 98% full, every floor partying till 4AM and housekeeping knocking on your door at 7:45 am even with a do not disturb sign on the door.

The nature of my stay unfortunately was for a family funeral and we were a party of 8.

The main downside was the very loud air conditioner.

They were loud and had the TV on super loud and were partying until 2:30 am.

Foul smelling room, broken room furnishings, heater not working, only one sheet on bed, mattress support broken, pool filthy, and second night no sleep from partying neighbor from the wedding held at the hotel.

The latter occurred at 2am when a wedding party (I suspect) came back to rooms a little too loud for their own good.

but this was already 1:00am I didn't see the party(s) ending anytime soon.we demanded our money back and left.

People jumped (nude) into the pool yelling at each other and were very drunk.

The first night we let it slide for the first 3 hours then at ten o'clock we called the front desk to complain about the loud screaming, yelling kids in the pool.

Then his lousy excuse was” I’ll have to call my tech guy and then he can call you to make sure your phone is ok”. Really!!?!?

after TECH SUPPORT gets you connected.Never had to call tech support at any other Hilton.Hotel sits directly beside a busy 8 lane highway, very noisy!However my last stay here I enjoyed the constant ringing of the fire alarms 3 separate times on my first night there.

but to call back the next morning and check to see if it was possible.

With the Hilton Honors app you can book your stay, pick your room, avoid the front desk completely and use your cell phone to unlock your door.

the housekeeping department returned my call and said no problem just stop by and they are here to pick up,, ( i would think they would know that i stayed there BECAUSE i was from out of town,, not a hotel that ,,shall we say rents rooms by the hour,,,so a 1800 Km trip for a couple of phone chargers was not happening).

The staff needs to pay more attention to people in front of them verses people on the phone, as I was made to wait for a while checking out because someone was on the phone (business not personal).

Young lady on the phone seemed as if she was reading the script when conversing with me.

Calls to the front desk and housekeeping resulted in busy signals.

Everything during our stay at this hotel was fine (check-in, cleanliness, bedding and linen of the room, elevators, hallways, etc), except that when trying to contact someone at the front desk's phone absolutely no one would pick up; absolutely no one.

but then the next day we discovered that the phone was missing.

I had to leave this hotel, get on my cell phone, and try and find another hotel on a Saturday night at 3;00 pm, and it cost me twice as much money .

I spoke to the housekeeping manager, manager and general manager and they still told me the room was used and they found evidence and refused to look into it more and hung the phone up on me and I still got charged.

Noise: Were placed in a room directly above their banquet hall where the noise was deafening until 1:00 a.m. After several calls to front desk, they promised to turn the noise level down(never happened) When I asked to be moved, was told that they were completely booked(which I found out the next was also a lie)

I've been frequenting the Hilton chain(loyally) for over 23 years and have referred hundreds of my clients to them.

though I was called back by expedia that day after a dropped call?

Once on the elevator with a bartender, one staff, and a security guard, I was told they would be calling the police soon and evicting guests.

You can checkout automatically from the room phone to avoid having to stop at the front desk.

Excellent stay experience, kind and prepared staff, comfortable and clean rooms.

my room was very clean and very nice I was so pleased with the service that I received at this location.

The staff was excellent, the room was clean and well furnished.

Beautiful foyer, wonderful staff, immaculate rooms, quite, very nice dining room.

My stay at this hotel was excellent and the food amazing the cleanliness of my room was very good and the staff were very helpful and friendly fast check in and out restaurant staff were all great and friendly as well

Treated very well and rooms were clean and quiet, breakfast was excellent lots of choices, very friendly staff, close to facilities, Resturant’s casino, shopping.

Hotel was spectacular in every way from checking in,  rooms were clean, staff were friendly and helpful and the food was delicious.

Arrived 1 hour after check in time to find out only a couple rooms were clean and ready for check in.

Restaurant closed from 11am to 5pm was a nuisance since there is nothing within walking distance if the weather in nasty.

Room smelled like someone smoked a box of cigars.

The bathroom smelled musty and the ceiling fan did not work.

The one room we didn't even stay in and to boot we don't smoke!

but the new blanket was just like the last one, minus the bleach stains.

but the room was EXTREMELY scented to cover up what appeared to be foot smell in the carpet.

Standard Hilton room except the hotel is under construction and our entire floor had an off putting smell as a result.

There is no smoking in the entire hotel so that rocked.

no challenges with hot water, our non smoking room smelled of smoke or was quite musty, no one else in group had any problems with the rooms.

however there was a terrible musty odor coming from the carpets, and windows couldn't be opened to air out the place.

It’s a nightmare, we couldn’t rest during the night, I had to go to front desk ask for help to make neighbors less noise,

Smells weird, noisy, not sure about cleanliness and not always someone at the front desk to get ahold of and no phones in rooms to call front desk.

There was a lot of noise outside the hotel at midnight, and we were unable to sleep.

Our assigned roomed had a sickening urine smell that kept us awake all night.

I also requested a early check-in as I was landing early in the morning, and was traveling from a different country.

The noise from people above us and in the hallway was constant.

People were talking very loudly in the hallway at 3:00am.

Upon entering our room we could hear the shower running, we tried to turn it off

but the quality of the room and loud music noise from next door just made it impossible for us to get a good night sleep

It shows in the room size which is on the smaller side, walls are a bit thin as we heard the neighbours loudly watching the NBA game that evening

I had an issue with the fridge cycling with a high-pitched whine and a low growl suction noise.

During our stay all we could hear was loud music during the night.

Whenever someone walked past our room, the floorboards would shake in our room too, instantly waking us.

The room was so loud as it is located right on the main street.

Good hotel to spend a night, it's affordable and clean rooms.

The room itself was clean and comfortable - we had a great sleep, bed was comfy and the temperature in the room was perfect.

Bed was nice, room was clean, staff was pleasant with a quick check       in and out.

Friendly staff, clean rooms and in the heart of downtown so close to several restaurants and has a lot of places to shop.

Rooms were very clean and breakfast was good too.

Rooms were clean, the entire hotel smelled like lavender and I was impressed on the level of Customer Care the staff has showed me.

The rooms where clean and the bathroom was always stocked up on towels as well as travel shampoo, conditioner, hand cream ect.

We recently stayed for a tournament and it was well located and the rooms were clean and wifi working so kids were happy.

Hallway smells of smokers so gives you an idea of when the carpets were last changed.

Everything else was disgusting and disappointing.

Marijuana was allowed to be smoked in one of the rooms.

The first floor does smell like cigarettes regardless of them being non smoking rooms.

The AC had water dripping so there was water on the floor making the rooms smell even more horrible.

Extremely disappointed, the room smelled like cigarettes, the sheets were not clean and the top of the bed, full of hair .

The staff of the restaurant next door smoked pot outside and the smell in the parking lot was terrible.

The exhaust fan in the bathroom was just filthy with dust, hairs, etc.

but we would have saved a bunch of time just going to Smoke's next door.

The curtains were mouldy with dust and damp.

The worst part was the constant odor of marijuana on the first floor,

Our A/C was working when we left for a few hours.

The bathroom had no exhaust fan with the light switch on the outside of it.

but nonetheless, it's reflected in my rating) The breakfast did offer a variety of foods but we had to eat in a strange, windowless room with poor ventilation.

The hotel was 80 degrees + if not more the entire time, no AC available and just completely uncomfortable.

Horrible smell was coming from the halls and rooms, rooms were not very clean at all, a few rooms had zero air conditioning.

The room, was run down, shabby, had an stale smell (we wereable to open the window) The wall and ceiling were damaged, the air conditioner smelled, the wire on the telephone was hanging off the wall.

Lacking cleanliness in room and guest room, odor in room - carpet seemed quite old, humid air in the room, patches of paint repair in the room.

Tv didn’t work well, power went out in room,wall paper peeling off walls, ratty bed skirts, noisy heating system.

Second, the air conditioning was not very adjustable and it was wayyy to warm in our room.

The room was hot and the A/C really had almost no effect on cooling the room down - even after I turned it all the way down.

The heater on wall was not working properly, could only get cold air

There isn't a pool and our room didn't have a working heater.

The old baseboard heating was left with the addition of a heat pump.

The sink is on the outside of the bathroom, again weird.

Very disappointed with price for what you get and the room was bit messy with bugs all over the washroom definitely not the best for the price and the people that stay are just staying to party which gets annoying.

Very nice and clean, I don't think the bathroom has been updated as it had a bit of wear

We will never stay at this building again due to the lack of room amenities and the lack of cleanliness this building could provide.

From both the sink tap and the shower the water was hot and couldn’t be adjusted.

I wiped down the shower walls and tub before my shower due to residue I spotted just before turning on the water.

Broken furniture, unable to close the bathroom door, phone not working, crumbs on the floor.

The bathroom headstand pushed up in the corners there was hair caught under the door and there were no grab bars or nonslip mats in the bathroom and when we went to call for assistance there was no phone in the room.

No water pressure, lights not working and kind of outdated.

We
had no plug for our tub, our room smelled like marijuana, quite old almost motel like.

The shower went from hot to cold then hot to cold again.

From the arrogant staff, to the TOENAILS all over my room, I got electrocuted by a lightswitch with no cover on it, flooding toilet and leaking bath, heat that would not turn off.

My only minimal complaint was that the bathroom was not as clean as it could have been

It is an old hotel in a run down part of town
there are no amenities such as classy restaurant, lounge or anything within walking distance.
