Staff did an excellent job, and there were tons of hot and cold breakfast foods for everyone.

The hot breakfast is perfect to start the day.

The continental breakfast (cooked items) were lukewarm at best.

Hot breakfast items were a nice touch as well as having a well equipped kitchenette.

I kept distance from everyone physically and explained everything I had discussed the night before on check in (ask to have breakfast dropped to my door, ask to have all deliveries come to my door etc).

It was clean, comfortable, breakfast was hot & delicious and the staff fabulous.

There was lots of variety at the complimentary breakfast.

The property was clean and quiet, which as a family is what we wanted.

We were a family of 6 in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite for 7 nights.

If you require accommodation for a family group, some with children and some without, this hotel's suites and large rooms are perfect.

Breakfast was included; made self serve waffles with fruit coffees and juices.

I loved the free breakfast, free coffee station, and free evening snacks.

The first day the complimentary breakfast included boiled eggs - which were great.

Beds and pillows are so comfortable and the complimentary breakfast is better then a buffet restaurant.

Now to top it off we are heading back to Ottawa and my sister's phone rings and the front desk indirectly accuses her of stealing the bedding.

When booking, you should call the hotel directly.

Nice that there were extra blankets and pillows in the closet so we didn't have to call down for more.

Sausage patties or what they tried to call sausage were a 16th of an inch thick and cold.

He followed up later with a phone call to ensure we were completely satisfied and apologized again for the delay.

Kaitlin overheard me and alerted Nitanth who rushed out into the snow storm without a coat carrying a mobile car battery charger.

I would strongly suggest to call the hotel directly to make a reservation.

Hotel and rooms were clean and set up well with plenty of space.

There was literally - NO SPACE) and the setup was not like other Suites I had stayed in before.

I was in a king plus a studio and it had a ton of space!

Breakfast was better than some full service Marriott hotels, I’ve stayed at.

Breakfast was excellent and the coffee was strong.

One of the cleanest property, excellent facilities,
Pool was something valuable, kitchen was added advantage to cook nice breakfasts as well.

Breakfast food included with the room was more than sub-par; could not even eat it, it was so bad.

The morning hot breakfast had a very good selection and with all this said I will definitely stay at this location on my next business trip.

The hotel offers a light dinner Monday to Wednesday and the most extensive breakfast layout I have experienced outside of an all-inclusive.

Breakfast was like any other Residence Inn, Hampton Inn or Homewood Suites, a couple of chaffing dishes with eggs, fruit, cereals, etc.

The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating, especially at breakfast -- the food selection was great (hot and cold options) and they were able to provide gluten-free toast or bagels on request.

Complimentary breakfast and light supper were delicious!

The breakfast buffet was excellent and each day set us up on the right foot.

The hotel has a nice buffet breakfast included with stay as per Residence Inn.

Add in the 7 day a wk hot buffet breakfast and their dinner social Mon-Wed and this topped off a wonderful stay for us despite the reason we were there.

As an individual business traveler my experience is that both Marriott and the front desk staff are friendly

It has other features that would make it even better for someone staying many days during the week on business.

I spent several nights here on business and found the rooms to be extremely clean, spacious, and comfortable.

I stay here a couple times of the year on business and have never been disappointed with anything.

I stayed at the Residence Inn in Whitby on business and could not have been more impressed.

Went back the next morning to ensure we wouldn’t be charged.

I booked a 6 week Oct 6 -Nov at this hotel in person (Residence Inn Whitty), I was assured they had a suite on the first floor I left my credit card number.

There was an irritating double charge for the first night.

Inflate the price, with rooms that had no heat, no ice machines working and they threatened a $200 nuisance charge if kids were found in the hallways.

Instead they charge $200+ for a room that holds 20 people and must exit by 10pm.

but I was glad to be able to leave as soon as I no longer needed it without being charged for the nigh.

It was very important that they use his card, because using mine would put me over my credit limit (we are both graduate students have have to be mindful of our finances).

She did not know how to change credit card from the one on file to the one in hand.

We brought some in from the small courtyard and staff said that they would charge our team a fee for the rust on the chairs unless we moved them back.

There was not hairdryer in the room, and oddly enough no privacy card to be put on the door.

though I was charged twice for the room, which was another incident in itself.

Ask the front desk for a card or to arrange a ride.

One of the reasons we like that hotel, is the large common area with BBQs so we can always do a nice team dinner(in the summer or spring)  after the hassles that we had in bookings, and the extra nights charged so some of the parents(which had to be argued emphatically for reimbursement), the horrible customer service from the evening manager, we will be looking elsewhere for a night's stay.

Unfortunately we had a hold put on our credit cards twice for our stay.

When I checked out, the receptionist told me that I could not receive the one night free of charge I am entitled to through the Marriott Rewards Program.

Charged me full one nights stay after cancelling 6 days before stay.

I thought at first, oh no, I would have to start all over again and give all my info and show all my ID, credit cards etc again,

Not aptly name, as they charge for beer and wine (unlike most Residence Inns).

The room was spacious (like a little apartment) with a full kitchenette and lots of living room space.

The room was very large with a full kitchen.

We definitely enjoyed the full fridge and ice maker in the unit.

The rooms are "suites" so you have a kitchen (full size fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, stove-top (some rms have full ovens) with cutlery, crockery & glassware for 4 people.

Our three generation family stayed in a 2 bedroom suite with full kitchen during our ski weekend at nearby Lakeridge.

(with movie rental option), a kitchen with full fridge, 2 burner stove, microwave, coffee maker, a corner fireplace and queen-sized bed with separate bath area.

It was clean with a full kitchen and all the essentials that you need.

Others had a 1 bedroom unit, more open concept, so no wall or door to the bedroom; a bar style counter top to separate kitchen from living space, a full oven with 4 burners.

But all in all, they have everything for a full fridge, stove with oven (in the room we stayed) and a dishwasher!

The rooms are very nice suites, with separate bedrooms and full kitchens.

The convenience of a full kitchen was very nice.

Newly renovated, beautiful full kitchen, nice sitting area with an L-shaped couch, lots of room.

First, the rooms are great (with a full kitchen), and are very clean.

You could easily stay for an extended period of time with a full kitchen and many extra support services.

Was awesome for us to have a full kitchen to keep costs down.

The rooms are great, complete with a full kitchen, including a dishwasher.

The rooms are great for long stays with the full kitchen, and breakfast and dinner is included in the price.

Let me explain why, firstly the rooms are awesome, they are huge with a full kitchen with full size stoves and fridges and utencils for 4 people.

The staff at the Residence Inn in Whiby could not have been better.

We had an ok stay at the hotel with our entire team,

Wrongfully accused children of stealing and detained them at the front desk.

Discussions with the front desk to keep lobby open were unsuccessful.

We take sports teams multiple times a year, we stay at a variety of hotels.

They have plenty of snacks beside the front desk for purchase.

From the moment I checked in and every staff member i interacted with, I received amazing customer service.

From the time we entered the staff were great, pleasant and willing to help.

but when my car was ready after just two nights, the staff very kindly cancelled and refunded my last night even though I was outside the cancellation window.

They are exceedingly helpful, attentive and polite.

In addition, the staff as very polite, and informative.

Enjoyed the bagged breakfast, better than most hotels, during Covid.

The location is excellent, very convenient.

For us, the accommodations are a very convenient short walking distance to the Ontario Tech University downtown campus and we utilize La Quinta almost weekly when courses are in session.

The hotel was located in the downtown of Oshawa which was a convenient location for my business meeting nearby and located near a lot of shops and restaurants.

The location was beyond convenient - the convention centre was a block away.

best prices i have found of any established hotel chain in durham region, Canada, and it is conveniently located right by the main hockey / event facility in oshawa - a two minute walk.

Good location in the heart of the city, parking space is small, luckily you can park in the parking garage on the other side of the street for free, not so convenient

The convenience and the room rate are excellent.

Dozens of eateries nearby, parking and convenience.

This is great if you're looking for a practical, well equipped, convenient hotel.

Location is convenient for us when we visit family in town.

Location is very convenient to highway, so Toronto is 40 mins away.

Because of relatives in Oshawa, we find La Quinta a very convenient and comfortable place to stay.

Convenient location for us and the staff has always been very helpful.

We were able to have food delivered and had a team meal in their meeting room which was convenient.

But, it's in the heart of downtown and easy on the budget.

Although downtown, the inn is quickly accessible from the 401.

Friendly staff, clean rooms and in the heart of downtown so close to several restaurants and has a lot of places to shop.

It is right down town so you can do restaurants, stores, banks etc.

Hotel looks a bit rough when you arrive, located in the downtown area of the city, which looked a bit depressed in this pandemic.

Right in downtown Oshawa and it offered incredible rates, I love the proximity to the restaurant.

The hotel is in a downtown location and the price was exceptional for the Toronto area.
