This is definitely NOT the case with Nefeli sunset studios, where things are done in an honest manner to offer maximum joy to their guests!

At only 30 euros (September 2010) you circumnavigate the entire island, making a number of stops (in our case three) for swims and a stop on nearby Kimolos for lunch.

but Roula & Makis saved the night and my vacation by quickly finding me what might have been the last rental car on the island that night and they waited for me to arrive so they could check me in.

on check out we were informed it was not included and it was €20 each day for the two of us.

She even let us check in three hours early (since the couple before us left on an early flight), allowed us to leave our bags at the desk after check out since our ferry didn't leave for a few hours, and arranged for a taxi to bring us both to and from the hotel.

We arrived at 4am due to weather delays and Roula kindly arranged for a taxi to meet us at the port and stayed up to check us in to our rooms.

but due to the economy we had to cancel, they were so generous to let us use our original deposit this year.

), beautifully whitewashed (and cleaned every time the chance strong wind deposits dust on exterior surfaces).

Not everyone on the island takes credit card, so don't be surprised if you're asked to make a bank-transfer as a deposit (our bank wasn't happy about that! ).

We found Pollonia changed, due in part to the Covid virus

The jacuzzi really came in handy when we couldn't go to the beaches due to the high winds.

but unfortunately due to strong winds that day we had to cancel it.

but due to the extremely windy weather (apparently unusual) we couldn't enjoy breakfasts on our balcony as planned.

I had had to cancel my trip to Milos last minute due to transport issues

Due to stormy weather the ferry trip was cancelled and we had to cancel our booking.

Our plane from Milos to Athens was cancelled due to high winds.

Unfortunately, our ferry to Milos was canceled due to high winds that morning.

Before we went to Milos we prearranged a hire car through the hotel only 2 days or so before we were due to arrive at the island from Koufonissi, this really helped us out as you definitely need a car if staying in Pollonia.

but probably due to the relatively bad weather - sun heated boilers).

So friendly and open owners who really represent the Greek hospitality!!

You see the best sunsets and you can walk to Pollonia center to the restaurants in 5-7 minutes.

We appreciated the ability to order from the menu and to take our trays to various locations on the grounds or to our rooms.

Breakfasts were amazing, with a great choice of delicious food which you can choose to eat wherever you prefer, including in the beautiful front garden of the studios overlooking the ocean.

Breakfast was made to order, beautifully presented, varied and delicious, with the option of eating in the garden or in our room.

Location is quiet and within walking distance of several restaurants and a nice quiet beach.

She also gave us good recommendations on restaurants.

but staying right on  the edge of the sea yet 10 minutes walk from the little village and restaurants was perfect.

Upon entering the reception area, we were greeted by a smiling Roula who proved to be an invaluable resource in terms of choosing locations and restaurants to visit during our stay.

The location is perfect, walking distance from the center of Pollonia, with a big choices of nice restaurants. We had a wonderful stay :-)

Again it was very useful and a pleasure having the good advices from Makis and Roula about restaurants, places to visit, beaches, weather, and everything.

There are many lovely places for lunch and dinner within walking distance.

A lovely restaurant (Rakomelo) is one block away on the water.

Both times, we had our pick of the entire menu despite it being so early.

There are a number of superb restaurants within walking distance, along with a variety of beaches and activities.

Shout out to Mike and his wife for being patient and attentive.

The lovely owners Roula and Makis, welcomed us with a bottle of wine which we enjoyed while watching the first of many sunsets.

Roula and Makis have thought of everything to make staying at their studios comfortable, convenient, and pleasurable.

The rooms are charming and kept spotless by an excellent staff.

There's no question that we will stay here again when we visit Milos!

As mentioned in my title, the views from the entire hotel area were stunning, the location is cute and quaint, the facilities are clean and well maintained, and the staff is extremely caring and welcoming (one of the operators even gave me a free ride to the port upon checking out as an extremely kind gesture).

I didn’t feel like I was at a Hotel instead I felt I was at their home staying in a beautiful room,  having a delicious healthy fresh breakfast served by Regina out on the terrace every morning overlooking the stunning sea and ending our evenings with a sunset view that was breathtaking!!!

We spent a fair amount of time out there, especially every night for the fantastic sunset view!

The property is beautiful .. the rooms are well laid out with sea views and of course the amazing sunset at the end of the day.

But the best thing was the view and the calmness of Nefeli Sunset.

The grounds are well equipped with all amenities needed to relax, and the view from the rooms and garden is incredible, especially at Sunset.

The view, not only for sunset, is very nice and it is also a perfect place to take a swim.

Our large patio included to folding beach type chairs, a table and chairs and one large cushioned chaise lounge. Each upper floor patio has a partial canvas cover to provide shade during the day (note that the lower floor rooms
directly below don't have such a cover and do get direct morning or afternoon sun depending on location in the building.)

And you can eat indoors, outdoors under cover, or outdoors looking out over the sea. 4.

Smart TV with HMDI so we could plug in and stream NFL on Sunday.

The room was perfect, nothing to say (if we´re picky then I would say the lack of an electric plug in the bathroom).

The villa does provide anti-mosquito incense which you plug into an electrical socket,

Dimitris on reception was incredibly helpful and friendly, we dubbed him the “Cappuccino King” for his delicious cappuccinos, usually accompanied by a slice of Mary’s tasty homemade cake, or sliced fruits.

The staff is warm, friendly, and helpful.

Big thanks to Dimitrius who was managing the hotel during our visit, he was extremely helpful and friendly and provided us with a lot of helpful tips about how to spend our days and restaurants to visit etc.

The owner is friendly and helpful and lovely.

All the staff were friendly and relaxed and there’s no unnecessary pomp.

Mary’s (Tania’s mom) breakfasts are legendary and now we know why, typical Greek food (not the usual bacon & egg) and totally delicious, especially the fresh daily homemade pies and cakes.

Every meal was   Very good- order seafood house wine and take the servers recommendation.

Tania will offer expert recommendations for restaurants, activities or shopping.

Secondly, the entire team is extremely nice and helpful, for example with flexible breakfast times in case of an early departure, great tips for restaurants, beaches and excursions in the area.

The breakfasts are delicious with a variety of baked savory dishes as well as fresh fruit, yogurt and even tasty Greek desserts.

Tania Milos has the best location in Pollonia-- a short walk from the restaurants and the main beach, at the end of a quiet road, with beautiful water view looking west toward the sunset.

It’s a 5/10 min walk into the main part of town with a lot of restaurants, so very convenient for dinners as we could walk back (it’s very safe, so not concerns there).

After a very tough year with the sudden death of our gorgeous dog and then our favourite uncle’s death, ,Tania Milos was such a tonic.

The boutique hotel is perfectly located, in front of the sea, offering an amazing view and sunset from the terrace of the room, and at walking distance of the restaurants of Pollonia.

The food was amazing, the room was luxurious.

It has the best restaurants all within walking distance of Tanias hotel.

Firstly, even before arriving my wife was very helpfully assisted by Tania to ensure all of our transfers/requests/reservations were taken care of and everything we had requested was done perfectly.

All the staff is very kind and always ready to help.

Everything about the service was sublime - they were generally delighted to have us and help us with anything, from recommendations to roadside assistance.

The breakfast is homemade by two wonderful ladies with so many  delicious options to choose from.

but a big flat rocky area from which you can easily dip into the warm blue sea.

Tania is like no hotel we’ve ever stayed at - beautiful, natural, immaculate rooms without pretension; breathtaking setting on a little peninsula of Milos with a natural Aegean Sea swimming pool and incredible sunsets; delicious homemade breakfasts with pastries made by Mary everyday; and the warmest staff that makes you feel at home.

The setting on the northern coast of Pollonia offers its' own splendid protected swimming area in the moody seas of the Aegean.

Breakfast overlooking the island was scrumptious.

We had the perfect room and the best views of the sunrise and sunset.

The terrace opens directly into the sea and the rooms all have a sea view.

Our Delux room had a lovely balcony where we could enjoy uninterrupted views of the ocean.

The location and views are unbeatable, and the rooms are perfectly decorated and very comfortable.

The hotel is located right in the coast so we had regular dips in the ocean and the sunsets/sunrises are great.

So, we spent a night in room 1 ( very nice room and gorgeous view of sunset) before moving into our favourite room for 5 nights.

It was magical, pure relaxation, being at one with the sea and the landscape.

It is, without question, the best location of any hotel in Pollonia, enjoying sea views from every angel.

We had a room on the second floor and had a wonderful nightly sunset view.

but they are perfectly clean and with terraces in front of one of the most beautiful views ever.

The surroundings are absolutely beautiful and the view is amazing.

All 5 of our rooms had private balconies with stunning views of the sea and the surrounding cliffs/mountains in the distance.

We literally ran out of money that night and were only paying with card.

Like I’m actually going to trust them with my billing info provided via email for their use only to cover their own mistake.

but such an establishment should accept cards with no issues or questioning.

We were collected from the port by Santa Maria Village minibus along with others and charged 10 euros, and booked our return journey to the port with them also.

In fact, when we checked out a day early to head home, Elias did by even charge for the night we had booked

I believe that hotels charging prices that high should squeeze fresh orange juice in the morning and serve fresh coffee instead of urn type.

You buy an internet "Hot Spot" card at the desk for 5E and have about an hour of use.

but when we have asked for late check outs in all our trips none of them was charged without warning us before.

Internet access cards could be purchased from reception and used at any time – until the hour of access time on the cards ran out.

One thing they could fix is that the mattress was too firm

By the time we got back to our room from breakfast, someone was already attending to the issue and fixed the problem.

On 3 separate calls over 3 days to the lady at the desk (I presume the owner's wife), no progress was made to fix this issue.

She got housekeeping to give us toilet paper and we tried again to explain we didnt need toilet paper; we needed the toilet fixed.

The breakfast was lovely and to finish the evening by the poolside bar with its friendly bar staff was perfect.

Staff was very friendly and front desk helpful with restaurant suggestions and stops to make around the island.

Nice simple bar with very friendly and helpful bar tenders.

The rooms are spacious, the pool is pristine and overlooks the ocean and nearby town, everything is spotless, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the food is excellent.

We lovedddd the margaritas and the bar guys were super friendly too.

Make sure to try the homemade Tsipouro made by the amazing and friendly hotel bar staff!

There is a 'short cut' in to the port from a path at the back of the hotel, it's a little uneven and not well lit at one point

Couple of strange points - rooms do not have safes and there is no offer of safe deposit at reception and the pool bar closes between 3pm and 5pm ??
