The room was impeccable and we had the terrace suite.

The room was immaculate as was the hotel, very ideally located close to the metro and a short walk to the Spanish steps and Trevi Fountain, would gladly book again in the future.

I can’t say enough fantastic things about this gorgeous, quaint, clean, amazing boutique hotel perfectly located.

but the bed was so comfortable, the bathroom lovely, everything very clean.

Sure the Hotel Barocco is in a prime location and clean, quiet and comfortable

Needless to say that everything was spotless and breakfast is soooo yammi.

My hotel room was impeccably clean, with a comfortable bed and spacious shower stall.

but there was an additional short flight of stairs (5-6 steps) to reach my room from the hallway.

The hotel footprint is quite small and accordingly everything inside the hotel is small from the door to the hotel to the lobby and halls and elevator and most importantly the rooms.

The doors to the hallways are made of ridiculously thick wood to keep the noise out.

We were in Room 48; took the elevator to the 5th floor, then walked down 2 short flights of stairs and hallway to our room -- similar to a room we had at Banff Spring Resort years ago!

We stayed in a deluxe double overlooking the plaza and fountain.

We recently spent 3 nights at the Barocco Hotel in rooms 42 and 44 (across the hall from each other).

However, I felt that the interior decor was dated and the corridors to the room were narrow and a little bit creepy.

We had a chance to check out the room across the hallway from us, which we would have much preferred.

What not to expect in the Barroc it is a boutique hotel small reception narrow corridors,

There were little angles and a tiny corridor to the bathroom which added to the interest and ambiance of the room.

But, newly renovated, bar the fact that the entrance is on the side of the building & not the front (although it says hotel on a old door) & the fact that the corridors might have been narrow, the renovated rooms/hotel looks amazing.

Our room was next to the entry door to the hall so Id recommend not getting that room if you want to sleep in,

however once inside these are all features that give the hotel it's feeling of warmth and make it stand out from the 'norm' - marble floors and walls, large displays of fresh flowers at intervals throughout the corridors; small bespoke stairs and only five or six guest rooms per floor make the experience unique and without doubt when returning to Rome we will stay at this hotel again.

The sound does travel in the corridors which may be due, in part, to the marble floors.

As other reviewers have mentioned the corridor flooring means you can hear people walking up and down outside the room and it was a little annoying not to have aircon available as it was winter

The Hotel should consider carpeting the hallways to minimize sound.

The property is located near the Trevi Fountain and walking distance to most attractions in Rome.

Fabulous location (walking distance to Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps; short taxi to the Vatican and Colosseum).

Wonderful location - easy to get on hop on/hop off bus (across the piazza), coffee shops and cafes all around the piazza, easy for taxi & scooters etc.

The location is terrific, in walking distance to many of Rome's famous sights.

It is in a great location and close to a lot of the important things people come to Rome to see.

The location is excellent and allows easy access to key sites around the city and to the Metro.

This is an excellent hotel in a great location.

the hotel is about two blocks from the top of the Spanish Steps so the location is phenomenal!

We chose it because of its location as being central to a lot of attractions we wanted to revisit.

Great location as well, close to the Trevi fountain, Spanish steps, Four Seasons corner and other sites, as well as great stores.

The hotel is in a wonderful location - an easy walk to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and the Pantheon.

Great location - close to a number of the key Rome attractions, close to the best shopping and there are many wonderful restaurants & bars close by.

but the AC was poor, bed sheet quality was poor and itchy, and the shower did not drain so we were taking a shower in a pool of water and had to stop before it overflowed.

The cost was less then a poor glass at home without nibbles!

Lighting was poor and of course no makeup mirror.

Would not recommend eating in the conservatory restaurants located around the corner from the hotel-very poor food and service.

Bad: The room size was disappointing, the room design was very poor.

WIFI:  Unfortunately wifi was very poor and as a business traveler this was a bit challenging -

We had a standard room which was not large and had a poor view

We both jumped on it before the poor gentleman showing us the room amenities could gasp in surprise!

Room 13 is small with poor lighting and a limited view.

Although wi-fi is free, connection is very poor and you have to keep logging in.

We had a lovely room with a bath and shower.

Rooms are fabulous, we stayed twice / once at the front end of our 14 day trip through Italy / then again at the end since we flew out of Rome both ways.

Our room was adequate, with large windows overlooking the quiet side street.

We stayed in two different rooms, both were of a high standard.

Book the terrace room with jacuzzi and sauna!

We booked a classic room which was fine for one night.

We stayed in a larger room this time that had a small outdoor patio which we loved.

but very comfortable, and we had a room overlooking the Triton Fountain.

Beautiful twin room with elegant touches.

The elevator is really small and could barely fit 2 people and 2 luggages.

It has only 1 small elevator and it takes sometimes a while till it gets to you.

There is one small elevator, appropriate for a hotel of this size and with little wait time.

Elevator was very small and air conditioning was not very cold (typical for Europe).

Although the elevator was tiny, it was modern and quick to respond when called.

This hotel is in a old building and has been renovated to high modern standards, yet it remains quaint with narrow passageways and a small elevator.

but everywhere in Rome has a small elevator and that really doesn't hold you back.

Our room #62 was a superior located just off the tiny elevator.

The staff were very professional and friendly.

The staff is first rate and eager to help.

Finally, I must say the staff are very thoughtful and kind.

We were always greeted with a warm and genuine smile while the staff delivered above and beyond customer service.

Stayed at this wonderful hotel for 3 nights with my partner, The staff were attentive, friendly and welcoming.

but also just good, kind people eager to help in any way possible.

We walked to everything:  the Spanish steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Via Condotti for shopping.

The location is perfect …   a 1 :60 walk to the metro and within easy walking distance to Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, shopping on Via Condotti and numerous restaurants.

Perhaps best of all, Barocco is a short walk to the Spanish Steps and the shopping delights of Via Sistina, Via Condotti and Via Corso.

The rooms were nice just a shame there is no coffee or tea making facilities.

No tea and coffee making facilities, which is definitely needed.

One tip I would like to share - could the hotel leave tea and coffee making facilities in the room, as we had to ask for it.

I was also a little disappointed that there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, apparently this was for 'health and hygiene purposes' which I'm slightly irked about as we've stayed in a lot of 5*hotels around the world and never come across this explanation.

The small local restaurants were some of the best we had in Rome!

The roof top garden was a plus with good food.

Located in a street off a main road with lots of good restaurants and a great coffee bar (right out of hotel door and first left) A delightful roof top bar and restaurant where we had breakfast lunch and drinks.

While the front desk was very nice, especially the gentleman that helped me with dinner reservations, the rooms were very small.

The upstairs bar area restaurant is very nice .

They made reservations at restaurants, set up rides to the airport and various other things, had tickets to tour buses around the city.

This awesome hotel is near the train station and several restaurants.

The food was good and gave choice from pizza's, to fish and meat dishes, so something for everyone.

Breakfast on the rooftop was first class, and a beer or glass of wine on the rooftop bar in the evening was superb.

In the end we were able to get a three course meal at cost to the hotel.

The staff were friendly and extremely helpful, the food was excellent and the rooftop bar has to be the best place to see the sunset in Rome!

Clean and comfortable beds - A 15-20 minute walk to all mail attractions all downhill - I would recommend this hotel without a problem

but we were OK with that as walking was fine for all of us.

The Colosseum can be reached in about 40 mins, the Vatican in about the same and Termini is roughly 15 mins walk.

We were roughly a 20 minute walk from the Spanish steps.

There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance and we also walked from the train station in about 15 minutes.

The hotel is a 15 minute walk to Piazza di Spagna

but not an issue if you don’t mind walking as only 30 minutes to the Colloseum or the Pantheon.

The train station is a 15 min walk or 5 min taxi drive away too.

The hotel was perfect! It was in a good location with easy access to all the major sites of Rome either by 
walking or by taxi (which we found was cheap so decided not to use public transport.)

Such a good location, about a 15 minute walk to trevi fountain.

It is a short walk from the center of the area, and the transportation stations.

Ideally situated near the train station and only 20-30mins walk to main attractions.

I was assigned a room on the 1st floor, incredibly noisy due to very thin walls, ridiculously small and with a single bed in a corner of the room.

The room was dated with fabric lined walls and a bright orange bathroom.

If there was a downside, I would say the walls are thin.

Dark gold woven walls and deep burgundy fabrics.

but one thing we didn’t enjoy was the bed on wheels, as each time we sat up in bed the bed moved away from the wall mounted headboard!

No mirror on the dressing table, for ladies to dry their comfortably and Hairdryer attached to bathroom wall so you have to manage the hairdryer and any hairbrushes standing up !!!!

This is an old building with thick walls and floors and doors.

The smell of perfume was still in the walls and bed.

but to see all it has to offer I would not stay at this hotel again as it does not offer enough value for money given how little time you spend in the hotel, I could live without a minibar and roof terrace for a better location and thicker walls.

The walls were paper thin too and we could hear when the neighbouring rooms used the shower or went to the toilet!
