The location is excellent, just a short walk to the Venetian Harbor area and the old walled part of the city where I walked around before our tour started.

The location is very ideal, walking distance to the Venetian Harbor, restaurants and shops, even the beach.

The Venetian harbour and restaurants were lovely and a must see.

Location is amazing, in the heart of the action and steps from the old town/Venetian port with great shops and lots of restaurants.

I would stay here again if I was traveling to Chania.Short walk to old Venetian Harbour and across the street from the indoor farmers market.

Right across the street is the Municipal Market (Agora), and a 2 minute walk gets you to the street that leads right into the Venetian port and old town.

The Kydon is centrally located in Hania near a great market and just a short walk from the Venetian Harbor.

Breakfast staff were also very helpful, as soon as we sat down we were offered tea and coffee and if they can get us anything and done so with such a big smile on their faces.

We visited the city of Hania again this year and as per our plans booked and stayed at Kydon, it being at the best location in the city with good 24/7 service and good food services especially their Breakfast of buffet-style, with great variety of ‘picks’ to please everyone’s taste!

but the breakfast was absolutely wonderful.

but the hotel is starting to need some maintenance in some of bathrooms and stains on carpets in corridors .

Cons: road noises are quite bad if you are light sleeper, carpets are very out dated and stains.

Only thing I would suggest is refurbishing the rooms with hard flooring-the carpet is dated and stained and just not in keeping with the rest of the hotel.

but the carpet is way overdue to be changed.

My only complain is about aged carpets resulting a dirty impression on the floor.

Let down by noise pollution in room from adjoining rooms, stains on the carpet in the room and a poor room service meal on one occasion out of two -

On a v small note carpets just outside elevators could perhaps be renewed as belie this fab hotel!

The only comment I had was the hallway carpets were full of stain otherwise I could have an 5 star ratings.

The only negative is the condition of the carpet throughout the hotel.

THE BAD: Tiny room, view of the parking lot, stained carpet, tiny (albeit clean) bathroom (with a half glass door which I hate).

Only reason why I don't give it 5 stars is that style-wise this hotel is in need of a guru and a make over, especially the carpets and the small bathrooms need seeing to soon.

The only reason why I do not give Kydon a 5 star review are the hotel's carpets.

Ideal hotel in the heart of Chania, the city centre was in walking distance.

It's location is perfect for city sightseeing, olt town is literally few minutes away, and sea is about 20 minutes away by foot.

The hotel was across the ancient Agora and very close to the old city.

This was,i think our fifth time in this lovely hotel,
it is almost in the center of Xania,across the central market.

The location is prime right across from the Market and within a short walking distance to the Old Town near the port.

I loved the location of the hotel too next to a chemist across from the market and about 10 min to a large supermarket and very close to chania old town and some nice restraunts.

The hotel is situated opposite the old market, at the top end of the old town and is perfect for exploring the town’s museums and shops (the town itself and the harbour are absolutely gorgeous!).

It is just across the road from the market and a five minute walk to the harbour with all the bars and restaurants.

Kydon is perfectly located across the street from the market and a quick walk to public transportation for access to everything Crete has to offer.

Right in the centre of the action - opposite the old market, 5 mins from the main bus station, 5 mins from the harbour and old town, perfect for popping back and forth if needed.

The rooms were clean and nice , the staff very efficient and friendly

The service was matched by exceptionally good food and drink options the room was clean and very secure will definitely stay here again for future travel plans.

The rooms are clean and they have the most comfortable beds Iv'e ever slept on in a hotel.

but, the bathroom was small and the shower was very cramped.

The only minor complaints I have is that our bathroom was tiny.

First room we got was a "standard " room and had a tiny bathroom and looked out on busy premises across a narrow street,

The ONLY reason I rated it a 4 instead of a 5 was that our room was on  the street side and it could be a little noisy during the morning and evening traffic times, AND the bathroom was small with very little counter space - it was a bit of a juggling act,

The bathroom was tiny and the shower felt like a phone booth.

In fact, the bathroom was so small, it had a weird half-size combination tub/shower.

Only complaint is the small shower stall and no gym or pool at the hotel.

Only con was the bathroom which was small and the showers didnt have good pressure apart from that a nice hotel to stay in Chania.

On the other hand, the bathroom was small, with miniature shower, plastic counter and inadequate lighting.

Outstanding hotel, from the time you walk into the hotel until the time you leave it the staff are always so helpful and very friendly.

There were a lot of teenagers there, so perhaps they were catering to a sports team.

Very friendly and helpful staff, very good rooms, many facilities and excellent location in the center of town and excellent quality/price ratio .

In any case the nexxt day I spoke to one of the staff and we were offered to eat a la carte at the Square restaurant and we ended eating there every day.

A lady on reception (sorry I didn't get her name) checked us in on the evening of 28th August and checked us out the next morning and she was particularly understanding of our stress and was very helpful.

The hotel is beautiful with great staff that are friendly and eager to help you in any way possible.

Housekeeping staff were also very friendly stopping to say hi whenever we walked past.

The location couldn't be better, based in the winding alleyways of Chania, near the Venetian port.

She takes great pride in the hotel which has Greek and Venetian history.

What a lovely small hotel in a Venetian palace from the 1400s.

That is if home is a stunning, gracious Venetian mansion.

Situated in a former Venetian mansion this is a very cool little hotel with a courtyard breakfast under a magnificent old tree,  a roof-top bar with awesome views, and located in the heart of old town.

Breakfast is full of fresh food and different choices.There is a roof top bar at the top which overlooks the Venetian harbor - a great place to have a drink in the evening.

It’s located in the old town and only a few steps away from the old Venetian harbour.

It is a gorgeous converted  Venetian Villa in the Old Town of Chania.

This arrangement actually was perfect because we were able to checkout the junior suite, presidential suite (with private rooftop patio view of Old Venetian Port), and the two bedroom suite during our stay.

The hotel was reasonably priced and included a nice breakfast selection (we were there in the low season).

I can not say enough about the breakfasts.

Breakfast, served in their elegant courtyard ,was delicious and there is a rooftop terrace with spectacular views.

I recently had a wonderful 7 night stay at Casa Delfino.The customer service at this hotel was exceptional.There isn't anything the staff can't help you with including an urgent trip to a local dentist.The breakfast is plentiful with a majority of homemade and baked items.The courtyard where you eat is quite serene and enables you privacy or the opportunity to meet other guests.

They offer an amazing buffet breakfast and will even prepare eggs in various ways at your request.

The breakfast is delicious with sweet, savory, cook to order options to please everyone.

The manager was fantastic and everyone we interacted with (at the front desk, the breakfast area and the portage services) exceeded our expectations.

Breakfast each morning was a delight in their little courtyard sat in the shade of a tree.

The breakfast included was delicious with LOTS of choices for whatever you were in the mood for.

Breakfast was charming and while not blowing us away was absolutely up to standard.

Loved the buffet breakfast, so many savoury and sweets to choose from .

The breakfast is sumptuous and excellent, and served in a shaded patio (worth lazing a couple of hours over!).

Situated in the middle of the "old city" (walking only, no cars), we were escorted to the hotel on a golf cart.

but it was my first time to Greece and I felt the need to experience it) and Santorini which definitely had more beautiful vistas, but Crete was my favorite city in large part because of this hotel.

Perfect way to see the city from within and not bother with driving at night which is frankly to be avoided imo.

The location of the hotel is perfectly situated for a stay in charming  Old Town Chania’s city center.

From what read, this is the only hotel in the old city that has its own parking lot, 10 minutes walk. .

It’s a lovely small hotel just a block or so from the water - it’s right in the middle of the old city without the noise and bustling of some of the main streets.

First, the personalized service. From the moment that Alejandros zipped down in the golf cart  to the (free) public parking area to welcome us and escort us up the winding streets of the old city and to our room (up the stairs, yes - you may have to actually walk up a couple flights of beautiful marble stairs!)

Access to the old city waterfront is steps away.

Absolute best way to experience the culture in the old Venetian city as well as the newer sites within Chania.
