This family-owned renovated hotel is the best place to stay at this refined town as it is located at a quiet part of the venetian port - where all happens, and has good and flexibly managed parking facilities any time you need them.

Birthday stay for one night right on Chania Harbour with fantastic views of the old Venetian light house staff very helpful.

We were able to walk to all attractions and loved sitting having breakfast looking out into the old Venetian port.

The Porto Veneziano Hotel is located in the heart of the the old Venetian Port of Chania which is a marvelous location.

Rooms were neat and clean and it is located right on the Old Venetian harbor.

This hotel is about a 20 minute drive from the airport and is situated in a peaceful section of the harbour overlooking the old Venetian port.

We spent a truly wonderful week at Porto Veneziano - a gem of a hotel on the Old Venetian Harbour.

The hotel is on front of the Venetian port.

Situated at the elbow of the old Venetian Harbour, immaculate rooms; gracious and helpful employees; attention to detail; and excellent food (I’m Greek).

Our room overlooked the venetian harbour so the location for us was perfect.

We had a spacious suite with a wrap around balcony and a beautiful view of the Venetian  harbor, street scene, and lighthouse.

Located right in front of the old Venetian Harbor, you’re right in the middle of action and yet it’s so quiet and peaceful.

Very good location right next to the old venetian harbour, a spotlessly clean room and a delicious breakfast , despite the pandemic and covid restrictions that they totally follow.Furthermore a very attentive staff and a nice balcony to enjoy the sunset.

It's centrally located and yet in a quiet area by the picturesque Venetian harbour.

The location is perfect, some restaurants close by, walking distance to the main area of the Venetian Harbour where the bars and restaurants are in abundance.

The breakfast is mind blowing guys and the people serving food in the restaurant are so friendly that u can ask them anything without thinking much , and I cannot that the lady in the reception was amazing she helped us to get to the town can’t thank her and the people in the restaurant for making us feel at home

Morning, afternoon or night, the atmosphere along the adjacent harbor walk, seawall and lighthouse is magical.

We stayed at the hotel and whilst we also dined elsewhere, we were so spoiled under the care of George with the atmosphere of the hotel and the most incredible view.

The hotel is kept spotlessly clean, and the breakfast has a multitude of choices to start your day, all delicious, so thanks to all the support staff working behind the scenes too.

The hotel itself is modern, minimalist and well maintained.

but so charming and well decorated, with the balcony and a lovely view !

We were told that almost every year (or second year), everything gets freshly painted, fixed and deep cleaned.

All fixtures and fittings were of a very high standard too.

The location is excellent, the rooms are nice, clean and modern, the staff is super friendly and accommodating.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the bar serves a great cafe frappe-- as well as the usual beer and popular Aperol Spritz.

but we also  received a wonderful upgrade to a beautiful seaview suite from the friendly receptionist Katarina and finally the breakfast, was just awesome.

Hotel was brilliant  all the staff helpful  friendly both at reception and in the restaurant and bar.

The hotel is very disabled friendly, my husband is a wheelchair user & the disabled room overlooking the garden was well equipped.

Staff: the personnel in this hotel are exceptional, friendly, professional and clearly take pride in being part of this hotel.

The waiters were all very kind and friendly.

Fantastic accommodation with friendly staff and absolutely first class service.

But there are plenty of places to eat close by and it's a bit quieter at the eastern end of the harbor.

I like that is is only four floors and situated at the elbow of Chania harbor.

The breakfasts are amazing and you can't beat having coffee outside on the front patio while you gaze at the harbor and watch the people parade by.

Sitting on the terrace, looking at the harbor lighthouse really couldn't be any better.

Fantastic location right on the marina , staff were great and the breakfast was superb, definitely recommend a visit, rooms were neat clean and tidy, in hindsight would have grabbed a front room instead of a side room as they seem a bit bigger

Located in front of the harbor, we had an amazing view, with a huge wrap around porch.

but whenever we retreated to our room for a break, we were spoiled by the beautiful views of the old port right outside of our balcony. Our suite with port view (room 310?)

The bar - restaurant of the hotel are very good with spectacular views to the port  and its old buildings.The breakfast is an experience ,except the fact that is freshly cooked and well presented ,it introduces you to the Cretan delights and local products .Try their Cretan  breakfast and the small Cretan pies !

The hotel is wonderfully situated overlooking the old port which is picture perfect at sunset.

An easy walk to the light house or around the scenic old port.

Great advantage the private parking and the unique view of the port.

To start with, we had a free parking for the whole period of time we've stayed there-3 nights.The location of the hotel is superb- bang on the port right next to everything which is worth exploring in Chania, and the view from the room balcony is unforgettable,really breathtaking.

We stayed  in this wonderful hotel for 16 nights, our room at the hotel was lovely and spotlessly clean and the view of the port from the balcony was stunning.

Right on the waterfront with a great view of the port - falling asleep with the boats lapping against the pier was amazing!

Some reviews mention about the bathrooms being small -

Note that the room and bathroom are quite small..

The suite was not as big as it should, the beds were mediocre and the bathroom was too small and weirdly shaped.

The hotel is a good 3* standard - yes, the rooms are pretty basic and a bit small and yes, the bathrooms are VERY small - you do almost have to stand in the shower tray to close / open the door -

Reception greeted us warmly and also kindly put together a take away breakfast box on the morning of our departure at 5am.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

The location couldn't be better, based in the winding alleyways of Chania, near the Venetian port.

She takes great pride in the hotel which has Greek and Venetian history.

What a lovely small hotel in a Venetian palace from the 1400s.

That is if home is a stunning, gracious Venetian mansion.

Situated in a former Venetian mansion this is a very cool little hotel with a courtyard breakfast under a magnificent old tree,  a roof-top bar with awesome views, and located in the heart of old town.

Breakfast is full of fresh food and different choices.There is a roof top bar at the top which overlooks the Venetian harbor - a great place to have a drink in the evening.

It’s located in the old town and only a few steps away from the old Venetian harbour.

It is a gorgeous converted  Venetian Villa in the Old Town of Chania.

This arrangement actually was perfect because we were able to checkout the junior suite, presidential suite (with private rooftop patio view of Old Venetian Port), and the two bedroom suite during our stay.

This is a first rate small family owned hotel just the steps from the old venetian Harbor Inn Chania.

The hotel is a wonderfully renovated Venetian palazzo.

We liked very much the comfort of our suite with private veranda overlooking the old venetian port and the excellent breakfast served in the VERY lovely and tastefully decorated patio… All in all, this hotel is worth a warm recommendation to all fellow travellers !

Perfect location, right by the Venetian harbor.

The hotel was reasonably priced and included a nice breakfast selection (we were there in the low season).

I can not say enough about the breakfasts.

Breakfast, served in their elegant courtyard ,was delicious and there is a rooftop terrace with spectacular views.

I recently had a wonderful 7 night stay at Casa Delfino.The customer service at this hotel was exceptional.There isn't anything the staff can't help you with including an urgent trip to a local dentist.The breakfast is plentiful with a majority of homemade and baked items.The courtyard where you eat is quite serene and enables you privacy or the opportunity to meet other guests.

They offer an amazing buffet breakfast and will even prepare eggs in various ways at your request.

The breakfast is delicious with sweet, savory, cook to order options to please everyone.

The manager was fantastic and everyone we interacted with (at the front desk, the breakfast area and the portage services) exceeded our expectations.

Breakfast each morning was a delight in their little courtyard sat in the shade of a tree.

The breakfast included was delicious with LOTS of choices for whatever you were in the mood for.

Breakfast was charming and while not blowing us away was absolutely up to standard.

There is a breakfast buffet daily in a lovely courtyard,

Loved the buffet breakfast, so many savoury and sweets to choose from .

The breakfast is sumptuous and excellent, and served in a shaded patio (worth lazing a couple of hours over!).

But not the first night due to our assigned suite being dark, two levels and quirky.

Laying on a sun bed of the terrace; looking around the landscape and the lively motion of the harbor without any intrusive noise; watching the lights and colors changing over the surrounding houses and local people living them , until the dark came,  was such an intimate and touching experience to be difficult expressing.

The furnishings of the room were quite dark

(Triple was a little dark -- only complaint we had.)

To have a shower was a challenge as when the shower curtain was drawn it was dark and difficult to see anything.

However it was very dark, dank and smelt very damp and musty.

The bathrooms were a little worn and the bedding was dark and heavy,

Would definitely come back despite minor complaints [a/c unit a bit weak and bathroom a bit small and dark] as it really is a charming stay whether you wish to be in the action or just step back from it all and relax.

They wanted to be sure we made it back from the Gorge before it got dark.

Our bathroom was on the small side and the shower was quite dark.

The building is nice, the breakfast is nice, the service is nice, we were just a bit disappointed by our room(11) with a view on other windows, the strict minimum in the bathroom, wich was actually very tiny and you have to ahve a shower nearly in the dark because the light is not ok. For the bedroom , the furnitures look a bit old and the matress is not very confortable, too soft, so you'd better have a partner of the same weight than you.

I've read some of the negative comments about the rooms (being dark, bad bathrooms, too small, etc) and I feel I must let people know that the rooms have been recently renovated (in fact we were only the second people to stay in our room) earlier this year and these problems have been fixed.

The hotel is over rated -- no view,  shower is revolting,  dark and tiny,  rooms too light,  curtains not lined to prevent early  morning light.

It is a refurbished mansion (some of the Delfino family is still involved in the hotel operations) and is beautifully designed.

We needed to go up a few flights of stairs, and they were decorated as beautifully as the entire hotel.

We could not have been happier with this stylish little boutique hotel.

The massage was excellent along with a relaxing environment.

I ended up in three different rooms for good reasons and they were all a bit quirky.

What struck us the most other than the beautiful architecture of this beautiful hotel which used to be the residence of the Delfino family during the Venetian occupations, is the kindness of all the staff at the hotel.

but it was spotlessly clean, tastefully furnished and very quiet.

Service is the foundation of the way this beautifully restored  boutique hotel in the alleys  of old historic Chania is operated.

but the true charm of Casa Delfino is its wonderful employees!

For people who  like tranquility and style.

The entire building is elegant, perfectly appointed and luxurious.

Christina (a descendant of the original owners) shared photos of the restoration of the mansion.

Traditional decor and ornate furnishings, and yet with all the modern facilities.

Our room was beautiful, impeccably decorated, and luxurious.

The courtyard itself is a relaxing place to sit with a great ambiance.

It is beautifully decorated and very comfortable.

The hotel itself, a former villa (the owner is fourth generation of the original family) is quietly elegant, with a mosaic courtyard (created by hand by the owner) for breakfast, sweeping marble staircases, generous rooms, and a rooftop bar with a breathtaking view.

So close to the harbor, shops, and restaurants.

The location of this charming boutique hotel in Chania is excellent - walking distance to every in the old town and along the harbor.
