Lastly, eventhough  this is an all inclusive resort the workers DEFINITELY be fishing for those tips.

Cons: On top ofl the HIGH all-inclusive fee, you must shell out more $ for prime cabanas or lounge chairs with umbrellas at pool and on beach.

The weather has been great, the service is top-notch, the food is the best that we have had in any all-inclusive or regular hotel.

The all inclusive is great and includes loads of cocktails and sparkling wine.

It is all inclusive and the main food option is Spices, the large buffet-style restaurant.

This time around my sister and I tried the Chef’s Plate which is a curated 6 course meal and isn’t part of the all-inclusive package.

The food is above average for an all inclusive hotels and the entertainment is the best thing.

Only thing i highly hated was the playa collection staff bothering with their timeshare.

It may have been amazing when Playa owned it,

From tequila volleyball, to the pool foam party, to the carnival beach party!

Highly recommend the suites with a private swim up pool.

Their energy at the pool, creating a college-like atmosphere for the diverse ages, was so fun.

The attentive and friendly staff, including Memo, Gardenia, Jose (coffee shop), Abel, Martin, Luis, Concierge Staff, Enrique from WOH, as well as the dedicated Asiana, beach, and pool staff, contribute to a memorable and enjoyable stay.

Pools and beach were lovely, and food was tasty.

Rooms have jacuzzi which is great after a tiring day out at the beach.

There was a lovely show at the pool one of the days I was there with tribal dances & rituals.

We had a room with an ocean view and a balcony over looking the pool .

I’d like to particularly commend Ivan, David, Isal, Sergio and Humberto in the bar & pool area, Martha in the spa and Ambassador team Ingrid, Ana, Monica, Paulina.

The swimming pools design is artistic and beautiful.

All areas around the pool and cabana area are very clean and maintained.

The hammock on the balcony was amazing, the pool was very clean.

but the pools here were warmer in December than the pools in Punta Cana.

I insisted that we should not be charged and reluctantly they 'waived' the additional fee for us.

Which tells me they're probably not getting paid what they deserve.

They don’t provide them anymore and charge $12 USD for a metal straw.

The spa - They were running a promotion to get an 80 minute massage at the price for a 50 minute so I took advantage of it plus they added on Hydrotherapy treatment.

As I explained to him a bunch of people were upset they couldn’t sit in or by the pool unless they paid $80 for a cabana each day (which came with 2 loungers in the pool) As Mr.Rojas explained to me this money grab was put in place by previous management

There is also entertainment every day and night, with a range of shows and classes at no extra cost.

The only downsides of our stay were the terrible sales pitch on check in, super misleading and time wasting. He promised a three minute chat to provide us our welcome package, turned into a 15 minute guilt trip to sign up for a 90 minute sales pitch saying "he wouldn't get paid if we didn't attend."

The premium wine was a tab on the expensive side,

And far too many hidden fees, especially for things which should have been included (ex: a chair by the pool or on the beach, a seat to watch the nightly entertainment , etc. ).

Once those are taken, you either have to pay for a chair or cabana, or find a place to store your stuff.

but not if I could find something close to price.

He told me if I paid him I could sit there.

Little if any consideration for the guests unless you want to pay extra as in the seating around the pool and at the beach.

This is additional cost and is not cheap.

though it's an all inclusive, there are plenty of things they want you to pay an extra charge for so just stick to the normal menus and you'll be fine!

but the only way you could get a poolside chair is if you pay money for a cabana.

The hibachi dinner is fun and books up quickly.

The food was excellent and I’d recommend trying the Chefs Plate.

We did the dinner on the beach and it was amazing.

We always enjoyed the buffet in Spice, given our food limitations.

The romantic beach dinner was a dream come true – beautifully organized and set against the breathtaking backdrop of the property.

The food was very good, especially the breakfast.

The culinary delights at the resort are truly remarkable, offering a diverse and delicious menu.

We rented cabanas on two days, and we also had a romantic dinner by the water.

Building is beautiful, food is great, staff good and beach is perfect.

The shows were great, and with one exception, so was the food.

The location is in walking distance to luxury shopping and several quality restaurants.

Restaurants ( especially the one facing the beach) are good.

The white party, the Cabernet show, karaoke and the dj’s!

The evening shows were okay - neither too good nor bad.

The evening shows are superb--I have been to many different resorts and this one had the best shows I have ever seen.

There are shows every night, plus fitness classes, a gym & lots of activities/parties.

While there are upgraded dinner options, spa services and cabanas available, they are not high pressure sales.

Note: I HIGHLY recommend Lucero is you book a massage. Incredible!!!

The hotel and grounds were kept impeccably clean and the amenities, eg: fitness center and classes and the spa were the icing on the cake.

Our lunch at Palapas Delfines by the grill is always great with the chef Eginio,chef Fernando,,Eduardo,Josephine, Hermelindo, bartender Jose Guadalupe,all of you work really hard to keep all guests happy.

Particularly enjoyed the Arrecifes, Momo and Los Caporales for dinner, El Manglar for breakfast and El Manglar and palapa Delfines for lunch.

Palapa de Delfines - Clarivel an excellent waitress also Juan Morena the Capitan was very helpful.

their Mexican restaurant is right by golf club, dinner requires reservation.

Many excellent dining choices, fabulous spas, and a challenging golf course.

Also the golf starter team consisting of Noe, Angel, Adrinal, and Luis as always treated us with respect and were always ready when we showed up to play golf.

I flagged a golf cart driver gave him $5 he helped me take the luggage up to my room.

there are little golf buggys that take you from the different areas which comes in handy for little legs.

Adani our golf instructor has a gift as an instructor.

Our kids had so much fun, the golf course is really nice as well.

The grounds are huge and they have golf carts constantly running to take you from one place to other .

My family and I booked the beginner lesson for the Moon Palace Golf Academy, and we were not disappointed.

I would skip "Gondola," which was totally average. The Indian restaurant "Agra" which did require a reservation was fine, as was the Italian restaurant at the golf course "Trattoria."

They do have golf carts that drive around and pick you up.

but I haven’t mentioned were mini golf, the spa, play on the beach, watch the shows.

Getting around the resort is easy with the golf cart transportation and just go to one of the stops and check out the map and see which letter route you need to catch and they will take you where you need to go.

The service by the service staff was superb - restaurants, poolside, housekeeping, golf cart drivers.

- Trattori (Sunrise / Golf Course) - what a lovely restaurant.

A great introduction to golf and the instructor was very helpful.

There are so many other restaurant ideas that would crush it at that golf course setting.

-great for young couples on a honeymoon (try going north to Playa Muejeres).

We had a smooth transfer from Playa del Carmen.

We also traveled to Playa De Carmen to their other hotel.

We go shopping in Playa De Carmen and visit Cozumel when in town for a little shopping and

We left the exclusivity of Playa Palace for the warmth and friendliness of Moon Palace.

This was our second time staying at Moon Palace for the Playa Luna concert featuring Dave Matthews and Time Reynolds.

The Playa Luna team and the Sunrise front desk had massive miscommunication on changing our room.

We went to Moon Palace and stayed at Nizuk for Crash my Playa.

I am actually afraid now to go anywhere else on vacation, we plan to return each year for Crash My Playa

For example hosting 'crash my playa' that takes over the entire resort (especially beach) or hosting massive conferences at the exact same time.

Emilio and Melinna at Playa Maya are OUTSTANDING.

We hired a car from Sunrise to drive down to Tulum, Actkumel, Playa de Carmen and had a day at Xcaret park - which I'd recommend if you have children and the energy for it.

After 2.5 years of Covid related staycations, we felt it was time to splash out on an overseas trip with guaranteed good weather (more of that later)

Moon Palace is located in between the Cancun Hotel Zone and the Riveria Maya and Playa del Carmen resorts.

Myself and many, many guests at Crash My Playa have all been diagnosed with scabies after staying at the resort.

We’re headed back to the Palace properties at Isla Mujeres & Playa del Carmen this March & November.

Mild constructive criticisms:  If your family is coming  specifically to swim at the beach, do not stay at Moon--stay at Beach, Playa or Isla Mujeres Palaces instead (or go there free for a day or so while at Moon).

We went for Crash my Playa with Luke Bryan.

Being to Mexico before(playa del Carmen)  first time at moon palace, Gerson was amazing went above and beyond made me a special shot according to what I wanted helped me and my husband with directions to get back to our rooms.

Food is hit or miss-mostly just ok. Tacos and ceviche at pool are delish.

We went in search of a comfortable place to relax and grab a bite to eat out by the pool.

The pool set up was very nice, and there were many food and bar options around it.

but the hotel management have sold far more rooms than they have capacity for in the restaurants, pools, communal areas, bars.

Overall, the resort is a great place for a family vacation with a fun pool, nice rooms, and good food.

The good points - the pools were fantastic, the food at the buffet was really good.

Pool side - as a test i gave the lady $5 to take care of everyone she never left us, everyone gave her more after she did a great job.

The pool on the other hand never had place to sit.

Things the kids enjoyed was flowrider, kayaking, beach soccer and the pools.

-we usually went by 7:30 am to get chairs by the pool.

The large pool area smells of sewage and there is garbage everywhere.

It could be at the same place (Bugambilias) as breakfast where they again had a great buffet, or it could be at one of the places by the pool.

They have a kids pool that my daughter loved so we hung out there mostly.

Big shout out to Damian the poolside waiter, Julian the smiley pool bartender, and Lucas at the lobby bar!!

We found plenty of sun beds were available at both pools throughout the day.

Also, at The Grand the Olympic and the Diamond Pool are great as well.

When we try to focus on the positive, the grounds, pools, and serving staff were great.

The front desk is difficult to deal with, especially if you lose your bracelet, fine print costs you a lot of money.
