We all had a great day on the beach making new memmories.

The beach is ok, and is roped off from vendors

Resort guests are kicked out of beach and pool chairs when ship passengers arrive.

The location is perfect, right on the beach and close to everything.

The guys at the pool and the beach are great.

We enjoyed very much the breakfast in restaurant right on the beach.

The girl who cleaned our room, Monica, was very good and so pleasant.

Happy hour at the pool and beach 11am-12 and 3-4pm.

Beach in front is great as are the pools.

but for the most part the area was looking great, beaches still needed to recoup some sand.

Jesus was awesome at the beach with chairs etc.

Incredible views from both the beach and the pool.

Walking distance to everything and right on the beach.

Guys at the beach (especially Carlos) were always available and accommodating.

This year our view from the pool is blocked by the Mango deck addition and they added cabanas on the beach in the front row that obstruct the ocean view.

The beach service guys are always top notch and will get you what you need.

I was walking along the beach and I saw that the place is clean and with air conditioning inside and the experience was extraordinary despite the fact that I was not a guest of the hotel and the work staff was excellent.

We are beach people as we love being by the ocean and mingle with the vendors when we choose to.

but respectful sales folks along the beach if you opt for a cabana rather than poolside.

The hotel is beautiful, immaculate, with a great view of the ocean, and a small swimming beach. It is very close to El Chileno, one of the most popular beaches in the area, with very pretty landscape and a first aid station (beware of jelly fish in here!)

The Office, Omega and Mango Deck have a lot going on which is great if you want to walk over a short distance to party and eat/drink on the sand on the beach.

It is close to many amazing restaurants- Roasted Grill, The Office, Esquina, and Edith's just to name a few!

Noel Mata Reyes, front office manager, and his team have done a great job taking care of every detail during our stay.

Good thing is the resort is located right next to the Mango Deck, Office, and Me Cabo resort which have an awesome vibe that you can join in.

Front Office Guest Service Mgr, Noel is very helpful & accomodating.

These things take your entire day and you are usually trapped in an office.

The Office & the Mango Deck are so close they feel as if they are part of the property.

Wonderful week with special kudos to Monica( in the office) , and Luis, Emilio, and Gabino at both the pool and beach 
They are wonderful longtime employees who make our family( especially our 2 and 4 year old grandchildren) feel special

We have enjoyed getting off the resort to enjoy Edith’s and The Office too-

You can walk to Mango Deck and The Office from the pool area which is right next to the hotel with a gate in the back with a security officer there to let you in and out of the gate.

So I was able to setup my office in the spacious 1-Br.

If you’re looking for a must-remember moment or simply want nice photos taken on vacation, stop by her office at the resort!

When Luis, the lifeguard, was there he made sure none of the vendors would come directly up to your chair, touch you, and persist to try and sell their goods even when you have said "No thank you".

The lifeguard helped me out of the water and up the sand and the service at the beach really treated us like princess’s.

We used the chairs and food service out at the beach and everyone there was amazing as well, even the lifeguard was a joy to talk to.

Aleaessa (Lifeguard) was very friendly, attentive and made sure all guests in his area were comfortable and safe.

Specific staff at the hotel that made our trip extra enjoyable were Noel at the front desk, Ceasar at activities desk, Emilio and Daniel with beach service, Eleison the lifeguard is super friendly and helpful, and Carlos around the pool made us feel very welcome daily.

He was a life guard for a while and has moved into guest services recently.

While I believe his duties are that of the beach life guard, Luis is extremely customer service oriented.

My only complaint was being ask to do timeshare tours right after checking in.

Very friendly staff from the greeters at the front and back beach doors, bellmen, front desk, concierge, B bar bartender, Cristian at the hotel restaurant, the lifeguard at beach (sorry I don’t remember name

Luis the lifeguard and all the amazing waiters at the beach really make you feel taken care of.

Luis the lifeguard is the kindest and hardest working man on the beach.

Luis, lifeguard, was always there monitoring beach activities and people swimming in the ocean.

We felt VERY SAFE with COVID safe guards in place everywhere at the Hotel and throughout Cabo !!!

He was attentive and went beyond the call of duty during this crazy COVID 19 time. .

Luis the lifeguard is terrific, as mentioned in several other reviews, both watching as you swim and helping with the chairs and umbrellas.

To walk to the Marina and the "town" only took a few minutes or a quick uber ride.

There was a little walk to the marina and downtown Cabo,

Just minutes to walk to the marina where everything is located!

We easily walked to the marina area and downtown (daily).

The property is very conveniently located to many good restaurants, bars, the marina so that walking to everything is possible.

The location is perfect— looks right as Pelican Beach:  it’s directly on the beach:  10 minute walk from the marina.

It’s probably a 10 minute walk to the marina.

You can even walk to the marina, 2 outstanding restaurants next door (ediths) and other lunch places on the beach.

If that's what you are looking for, then this is a great location, you can also walk to the marina / downtown.

While near a loud bar, it is also close enough to great restaurants and the marina to walk if you are inclined.

The hotel has several restaurants, and besides that, lots of other ones that we could walk to in the marina and in the surroundings.

Also could walk to the marina in about 25mins.

The surrounding area is pretty safe, the marina is a 7 minute walk (make a left out the lobby and continue to walk down the street, down the big hill, you will run into it) We love Cabo

And as far as the area in general; great restaurants very close by and also with a bit of walk to the marina and town.

The good: loved the check-in cocktail; location was perfect: walked to the marina; bar esquina and Edith’s practically out the front door; beach was great and good service; we could always get a spot at the pool,

We enjoyed our daily walks to the Marina which a few short minutes away.

I loved that we could walk to the Marina and the downtown area!

While Casa Dorada does offer a 2 for 1 special on alcoholic drinks on Tuesdays from 11am-12pm and 3-4pm, the drinks are very expensive.

I will join others in saying Casa Dorada Los Cabos Resort and Spa is OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive.

cabo is just expensive and things like water or coffee are not complimentary.

but not worth the price
Much better deals out there so check around.

This time we noticed a drastic change in room prices as well as food and beverage costs.

They seemed more interested in aggressively selling cabanas at seemingly inflated prices rather than catering to the needs of hotel guests.

but was just okay and if we would have had to pay it would have been almost 100.00 US for two.

We were told it must be purchased from the resort at their exceptional high prices.

However, I am a bit mixed as we had good pool side service along with the food (which is a bit more expensive vs outside the resort).

12 Tribes in particular was absurdly expensive.

My disappointment was the unreasonable increase in food prices.

but this added expense will be a factor in my decision to move my family to another hotel on future trips.

Prices seemed a little outrages, rivaling Vegas at appx $10 a beer and $20 for a mixed drink!

It costs a little more than some of places I had researched prior to booking

The one area of caution is arrange your own shuttle service to the airport, they will tell you taxi  prices are one price then bate and switch you then you are stuck because you trusted their advice.

but they did a 100% increase in food and beverage prices.

My only criticism would be the would be the high cost of food and beverages at the hotel.

If there was a downside, drinks are very expensive poolside.

LOCATION: the resort’s website seems to leave out that the hotel is nestled next to a night club…the beach in front of the resort is a constant party scene with blaring music and relentless vendors often times trying to sell inappropriate merchandise to children.

Every time someone would flushed their toilet, the jet tub would make a gargling sound.

Our room was directly across from one of the busier clubs and with your patio sliding door closed you could barely hear anything.

The nightlife in the area might be a little noisy for early risers,

The pre recorded artificial crowd noise got old quick.

Everything was 5 stars except for the loud noise from the club a few doors down.

It was non stop noise for morning to night.

The rooms were very sound proof as well, we never heard any hall our outside noise.

The only negative is that there is a bar close by (Mango Deck) that is a little loud at night

Our door opened up to the sounds and smells of the hotel trash and parking.

Along with the umbrellas & chairs there is a near constant stench of weed.

Since you're in the middle of a popular area, it can be a little noisy at night from clubs nearby,

The only minor issue was the somewhat loud noise and music coming from the Mango Deck (the beach club bar adjacent to the property).

It does get active and loud in that area,

There are several popular restaurants/beach clubs surrounding the resort that can get a little loud.

However, it is awful if you are looking for anything like a quiet get-away.

Food: Loved the breakfast buffet food items and flavor.

The liquor was bottom-shelf quality and the food was inedible.

Katherine also assisted us with quotes for after parties and a day-after brunch, displaying thoughtfulness towards the bride and groom.

The hamburger, Tacos, and pizza were okay,

Food was fine at the three establishments and the drinks were divine.

Enjoyed lounging by the pool and walking to restaurants they recommended.

Jonathan was also very good for lunch and happy hour service.

Best location, amazing beach, delicious food and most attentive and kind staff.

We loved the room and the pizzas were great!

I recommend seeing Sandra at the Maydan Restaurant.

Angel at the breakfast restaurant was consistently wonderful every morning, greeting us with coffee and laughter.

it’s just ok. the food at the restaurants within the resort are not that great,

Jonathan is the best when you need a refreshing drink or some food sitting by the pool.

This hotel exceeds our expectations - clean, friendly and very professional staff, great food.

They are walking distance to town and all restaurants.

Each morning we had breakfast in the restaurant right at the waters edge and the food and view were wonderful and our waiter - Angel - was great.

We also got to say hello to our favorite front desk manager, J.Noel Mata Reyes.

STAFF: The staff was welcoming upon arrival and it ended there.

Terrific communication before and during my trip.

the staff did not make one effort to make their guests feel comfortable or cared for.

The hotel is amazing, the staff was so kind and courteous--especially Paola at the front desk and Crystal when I got my coffee every morning.

Katherine especially ensured that our team's trip went as smoothly and was as comfortable as possible.

Cesar ,Brandon and guys at the front are awesome.

CHEMA is one of the greatest human beings I have ever met in my life, so attentive, so caring and truly wants you to feel at home this experience would not be the same without him and I’m so excited to come back and see him!! !

Cesar, at the front, was very helpful with our bags and answering all our questions.

The staff is really good---no pressure and super helpful!

but I had breakfast each morning and the staff at Mayden were incredible - Sandra, Lorenzo, Cristal and Johan - all stood out for prompt and pleasant service.

The hotel was great and the staff were awesome.

As soon as we arrived we were greeted by the staff.

At the pool, Emilio and Gabino were so helpful and friendly during our week stay.

Everyone from the front desk, servers,  housekeeping, chefs,  beach towels, umbrellas, greeting upon entry, I just cannot say enough wonderful things about Casa Dorada! !

Always satisfied and the quality of the staff is exceptional.

The men at the valet area (front of hotel) were extremely friendly and helpful daily with taxis and directions.

The location was great, walking distance or a quick taxi ride to the marina.

Excellent location, walkable or a short taxi to most everything you’ll want to see or do.

but close enough for a short taxi ride or even a walk.

It is walkable to many restaurants and bars and a short taxi to squid row/party scene.

The water taxi driver was very knowledgeable and accommodating.

When we did so was met ( by general hotel manager he identified himself) with the standard we have no idea, wait on food service manager to review while airport taxi was in lobby or the standard I cannot understand your request and I don't speak/comprehend English type of greeting/response. WOW!!

Regarding location, it is very walkable to close by restaurants and the town itself or take a water taxi or regular cab for $8 US.

Everything you need is within walking distance or a short taxi ride, why would we stay anywhere else?

This last time we had some friends swing by who were staying in an Air bnb about 15 minute taxi ride away.

The Bell boys Cesar and David would make sure we got our taxis when needed and  and when we returned from the store get all our items to the room.

10-15 minute walk or 5 minute taxi ride to both the downtown and marina areas.

From the moment we arrived, Cesar's friendly and warm greeting as we got down from our taxi set the stage for what we knew would be an amazing week.

Liliana did a great job of helping us through the entire process, including even scheduling the taxi from/to the airport.

you do not  have to play  the taxi , shuttle game,     3 min walk   to the  Marine.

Right on the beach and there swim area is nice water taxis right up from very short walk to the marina.

We also walked along the beach to dinner at another resort.

They have employees staked on the beach to keep you from even diping your toes in the water.

Despite this, the resort's accessibility to nearby beaches is a notable highlight.

But it was not too big a deal, we just took an Uber to an another beach to snorkel.

No umbrellas available nor allowed on beach.

Take a water taxi ($25us) to the Arch and Lovers Beach for snorkeling.

The direct beach access gives way to the most beautiful sunsets and photo ops.

We had an amazing master suite in building A, beach front, amazing views of sunrise and sunset.

The beach is beautiful and we could see whales from our chairs.

We enjoyed a premiere location, the public beeches were delightful, all inclusive meals were very well prepared, with many good choices to dine.

Location of resort is convenient and short walk to marina.

Absolutely loved Franco who took wonderful care of us at the pool & beach party night.

Adult pool buy the beach is the place to be!

Fiesta night and Beach night were both fun.

The food and servers have been so friendly…checking in with Renato was great, our server, Jorge, at Calima and the Beach party has exceptional attention to detail and oh so friendly!

The king size bed in the ocean view room was much nicer on my back than the marina view room.

We took an Uber to Chileno Bay to snorkel for $8 one way.

Go to Chileno Bay or Santa Maria Cove for swimmable beach since resort doesn’t have a swimmable beach due to pacific coast currents.

The waitress assured us that it was not going to be charged to our room

The following day I went to a more basic restaurant had a few tacos and beer and noticed a 10% service fee on my invoice.

We were charged over $300 of “fees” above and beyond tips, taxes and mandatory charges.

After many discussions, producing paperwork showing where I was booked, and a plea for them to honor their obligation, they refused and said my only option was to take the room at the lesser resort and that was it, no compensation/upgrade for my loss of value, no resort credit, just take it or leave it.

Despite the hotel charges you 30% of tax and service in your booking, you need to bring extra cash to tips the waiters or they let you wait for your drink and food forever.

They incorrectly billed me then and have continued to charge my credit card.

They do push the timeshare pitch and aren’t always up front with how things are charged.

No towel cards mean people leave their towels on their chairs even when they are gone for the day and new arrivals can’t tell if a chair is truly available.

Gym doesn’t open till 7am and there is an $11 US charge, never been to a property that charges to use the gym.

After going there for 17 years (AS AN OWNER) I don't like the treatment I been given, PLEASE BE AWARE OF CHARGES PLACED ON YOUR ACCOUNT.

To make matters worse, their only concern was getting our card to pay for the new nights stay, and not the health and welfare of 5 of his sick guests.

In fact, probably worth skipping the towel card completely as we simply gave our room number to get towels.
