We also walked along the beach to dinner at another resort.

They have employees staked on the beach to keep you from even diping your toes in the water.

Despite this, the resort's accessibility to nearby beaches is a notable highlight.

But it was not too big a deal, we just took an Uber to an another beach to snorkel.

No umbrellas available nor allowed on beach.

Take a water taxi ($25us) to the Arch and Lovers Beach for snorkeling.

The direct beach access gives way to the most beautiful sunsets and photo ops.

!Easy walk to marina and tons
Of great restaurants and fun.

We had an amazing master suite in building A, beach front, amazing views of sunrise and sunset.

The beach is beautiful and we could see whales from our chairs.

We enjoyed a premiere location, the public beeches were delightful, all inclusive meals were very well prepared, with many good choices to dine.

Location of resort is convenient and short walk to marina.

Absolutely loved Franco who took wonderful care of us at the pool & beach party night.

Adult pool buy the beach is the place to be!

Fiesta night and Beach night were both fun.

The food and servers have been so friendly…checking in with Renato was great, our server, Jorge, at Calima and the Beach party has exceptional attention to detail and oh so friendly!

The king size bed in the ocean view room was much nicer on my back than the marina view room.

The waitress assured us that it was not going to be charged to our room

The following day I went to a more basic restaurant had a few tacos and beer and noticed a 10% service fee on my invoice.

We were charged over $300 of “fees” above and beyond tips, taxes and mandatory charges.

After many discussions, producing paperwork showing where I was booked, and a plea for them to honor their obligation, they refused and said my only option was to take the room at the lesser resort and that was it, no compensation/upgrade for my loss of value, no resort credit, just take it or leave it.

but still an upgrade) for the rest of our stay at no additional charge.

Despite the hotel charges you 30% of tax and service in your booking, you need to bring extra cash to tips the waiters or they let you wait for your drink and food forever.

They incorrectly billed me then and have continued to charge my credit card.

They do push the timeshare pitch and aren’t always up front with how things are charged.

No towel cards mean people leave their towels on their chairs even when they are gone for the day and new arrivals can’t tell if a chair is truly available.

Gym doesn’t open till 7am and there is an $11 US charge, never been to a property that charges to use the gym.

After going there for 17 years (AS AN OWNER) I don't like the treatment I been given, PLEASE BE AWARE OF CHARGES PLACED ON YOUR ACCOUNT.

To make matters worse, their only concern was getting our card to pay for the new nights stay, and not the health and welfare of 5 of his sick guests.

lobster) are NOT fully included in the all-inclusive meal plan and there is a hefty surcharge of $45 if you want the lobster.

In fact, probably worth skipping the towel card completely as we simply gave our room number to get towels.

Yes they take your credit card and charge everything to your room

Shame on Playa Grande Resorts for charging their Disabled Guests extra.

After 1 hour, we finally got our room keys and were then ushered over to speak to the concierge to receive our towel cards.

This place was packed while we were there so the fact that they could remember who we were and what we ordered seemed kind of important to be sure we were being charge accordingly.

Maria our housekeeper kept our room clean and tidy.

(However, I do recommend Maria S. if you need to buy tickets. She is personable and helpful without being overbearing.)

but one toxic experience with concierge Maria.

but just as top-notch service was provided by Maria, Concierge.

Sergio, Javier, and Maria at the front desk were so wonderful.

We are especially grateful to these amazing staff members:
Adriana (front desk manager)
Erika Rivera (customer service)
Maria Santiago (concierge)
Martin Rojas (Ridge restaurant manager)
Ernesto Del Olmo (lobby bar manager)
Blanca Zavala (waitress at the Ridge)
Ivan Jesus (the Ridge waiter)
We are grateful to all these people for the sincerity and kindness they showed us throughout our three week stay.

Lastly, I wanted to give a shout-out to Maria at the concierge desk.

The staff did recommend two very good places not far (Maria Corona and Salvatores).

Concierge group very helpful- Maria, Hugo& Aldo.👍👍 Thank you and keep it up this week😎😎

I worked with Maria Santiago in planning our trip.

A special thanks to our concierge Paula and Maria for attending to all our needs professionally and for helping with the trip to the Arco and the car ride to Todos Santos! Amazing!

Our waitress Maria at this other amazing restaurant told us about the cool local spots to check out like the archways and I am so grateful for the hospitality they showed us and the experience we had, we got to travel to their home and they made us feel right at home.

The hotel is right across the street from the marina.

but worked just fine

Only complaint - our room faced the marina where Sr Frogs is located.

Playa Grande Resort boasts a convenient location near Cannery Beach and a short stroll to Medano Beach through the nearby marina.

It was great to have the resort walking distance to the Marina.

Great location, lovely property, easy access to the marina and all downtown Cabo offers.

The resort is close to town and the marina and is easy to walk to everything.

The best resort on the All the people are very friendly, something that really pleases me is that every time we visit this beautiful resort we are always greeted with a big smile, the quality of the hotel is too good and best of all it is literally next to the Marina.

We walked all over marina at night and always felt safe.

The rates were reasonable especially as the location is within walking distance of the marina.

The proximity to downtown and the marina eliminate the need for a rental car, you are walking distance to many restaurants, bars and shops.

The proximity to downtown and the marina eliminate the need for a rental car.

Beautiful resort, then walk down the hill 5 minutes and you are at the marina and downtown.

The marina and shopping is a 10-15 minute walk from the resort which made it very easy to do anything you wanted to do off of the resort.

We did like that it was close to the marina!

Stayed in two different rooms - an ocean view penthouse (2 bedroom) and a marina penthouse (2 bedroom) on “the ridge.” There are pool renovations happening - there are 4 pools, one of the four will be out of commission until they’re all completed.

It’s a 10 minute walk to the Marina and 20 minutes to downtown Cabo San Lucas!

Although not far from Marina and "downtown" in distance, the walk there is not easy nor scenic, especially on a hot day.

It was very clean with huge rooms designed with Mexican flair.

The fire dancers as well as the Mexican fiesta was so fun and awesome.

The food at the Mexican fiesta this year was top notch and ever single staff person worked extremely hard to keep us well fed and filled with the drinks of our choice.

The Mexican party night is by far my favorite part of staying here!

Great performance you don’t want to miss. The Mexican party was very fun.

The Mexican Fiesta on Monday nights is fun, great local entertainment.

Some activities include the famous tequila volleyball in the pool, Mexican fiesta night, and the beach party.

but the Mexican Fiesta was extremely fun and very engaging.

Must do: Mexican fiesta and Beach party .

So clean, the food & drinks was great, the Mexican Fiesta is highly recommended.

The Mexican Fiesta party with food, drinks, entertainment and fireworks was amazing!! !

The weekly Mexican fiesta is a must, definitely a highlight… fireworks were pretty cool too!

The Mexican Fiesta was a particular highlight with a great spread of food.

Mexican fiesta and beach party are 10/10 events because of them.

We loved the Mexican fiesta and all the daily activities!

Was there in 2021 the Mexican Fiesta, beach party is something you can’t miss.

She made the Mexican fiesta a great experience.

Last night this came to light after an expensive dinner for three at the steakhouse.

You tip, then you pay for additional “fees” and taxes.

At that point I figured we were going to be put in the dreaded Ridge, or forced to pay for an upgrade to be in the main resort.

Avoid the offers, starting in the airport and then in the hotel lobby at all costs.

Not sure if the price I paid matched the experience I got.

When I canceled, there was no warning that the rate was nonrefundable.

There’s an infinity pool, a water slide, and allegedly the pools up here are adults only. Here are some of my observations:
* 4 star resort
* All inclusive meal option available
* Uber Eats is available for some local restaurants
* Food at the resort is overpriced for the quality
* $15 taxi ride into marina shopping area
* $120 taxi ride from airport
* walking from resort to marina (where there are restaurants and shopping) is doable

This does not make life easier for guests who want to take an Uber (instead a regular cab or or transport companies indicated by the hotel, which were more expensive) and I think only having a vehicle and passenger identification when accessing the hotel would be necessary, even with security issues.

Beware the exorbidant food and beverage costs if you don't use the meal plan.

Unbelievable service for this kind of pricing for a hotel and the most worst customer experience and service ever.

My advise is to avoid such a ripoff places

This would seem like an unfortunate price hike mishap if it wasn't for it happening again and again once you check all other seemingly great priced offerings.

Like any resort, food and drinks were underwhelming and overpriced

enough so that we had to call the Nurse on campus to bandage us up.American money is best since it is so much easier, plus when we exchanged it for pesos, there was an expensive fee.

Nice room, excellent pools and weather for mid December.

Our two bedroom suite was very nice and the balcony was fantastic… almost like another living room.

We love Playa Grande - the staff are amazing, the rooms and grounds are clean and nice, and the location is great -

From Alfredo at Brigantine’s amazing craft cocktails to our pool side service with Miriam and Hector Raga Segrero to coming into our room to playful towel designs we were taken care of with smiles and attention to details!

It was one of the nicest rooms we’ve ever stayed in!

I read a bunch of reviews that imply there is a lot of pressure here to buy time shares, book activities or to upgrade the rooms.

Always there with drinks and food
Enjoyed our beautiful view from the room.

Hector at the pool bar was great also, rooms were cleaned really well and the facility itself was very well maintained!

Our room is a jr suite and is so spacious and comfortable.

The room's soft mattress might not suit everyone's preference, leaning towards a firmer bed.

Our room - the deluxe junior suite was very spacious, it had a separate bedroom, living area and 2 great bathrooms (one with a huge bathtub), and a nice kitchenette with a fridge and microwave.

The pools at Playa Grande are also very nice and our room was right next to the pool.

Clean rooms, great views, and wonderful staff!

Plenty of room by the pools and the food is excellent.

Santa in the gift shop will make sure you have all the contorts of home, ie: cervesa, agua and snacks ;)
Perfect vacation.

Santa, kept our room sparkling and Israel wheeled all of our luggage backwards downhill.

Go to Chileno Bay or Santa Maria Cove for swimmable beach since resort doesn’t have a swimmable beach due to pacific coast currents.

dozens of boats, both private and tour boats show up in front of the resort about 15 minutes before sunset to see the show.

Amenities - standard, nothing fancy
Sports Bars - shows all games, ufc fight etc
Onsight grocery store
Gym was older equipment,

The sports on television is very entertaining.

And *Amy and *Rodrigo with the entrainment staff are always so happy, pleasant, polite, fun and always a smile on their faces.

The entertainment staff provide a lot of fun activities such as water aerobics and volleyball.

Entertainment team does a nice job of trying to engage guests.

And to everyone else that made this trip special: the entertainment staff, the Fiesta Night dancers, the phenomenal staff at the Sports Bar, and our lovely housekeepers.

The wait staff and entertainment staff (Selma, Amy, Humberto, Luis) were the most enjoyable and the main reason we always enjoy ourselves every time we come to Playa Grande.

Lots of entertainment, everyone was always so helpful.

The Entertainment staff was wonderful especially Aiimee, who was hardworking, vibrant and always with a beautiful smile.

MC Roberto is hysterical and the entertainment team is great!

I need to give credit to the bartenders, servers, and entertainment staff by the pool!

A few employees who stood out: Luis with the entertainment staff (water aerobics, tequila volleyball), Hector at the swim-up pool bar and our housekeeping staff for P2351.

(they rotate areas daily): Ramon, Franco, Jaime
Entertainment staff: Aimee , and the skinny guy who played me in ping pong and judged Tequila Volleyball.

Entertainment crew were funny and the two activity nights were worth the cost.

Overall, our 7 day vacation was relaxing, entertaining, and one of the best we have taken!

The entertainment team will make it memorable.

Beautiful resort, fantastic entertainment crew!

What an amazing, caring, responsive person he is!

- her welcoming personality and willingness to assist us was always a pleasure in the mornings at Calima.

Friendly staff and a nice coffee stand near the lobby heading towards the Pools
Comfortable beds and a nice gym that seemed popular.

So kind, polite, and extremely attentive.

Our 2024 started off being taken care of by so many of Playa Grande’s attentive staff!

The service is exceptional—our poolside severs were Miguel, Fernando, and Ramon…all were terrific: attentive, friendly, and accommodating.

His service went above and beyond, ensuring every detail was taken care of.

The desk clerk said that there were no Junior Suites that I had reserved available.

the employees were fantastic and some of the nicest people ever.

The staff are exceptional, friendly and very efficient.

He was friendly and attentive, a great sense of humor and had good suggestions when we asked for some!

The wait staff make the trip, Cesar, Big Jose at Calima had dinner and drink always ready for us.

He was spot on, very accommodating and his service was quick!

The brisket tacos for lunch on the beach are great as well!

Luis Martinez was great bartender at the beach bar.

Lunches around the pool and the service at the beach was great.

Staff was friendly especially Suar the waiter on the beach.

It looked the same as the beach in front of Zoetry?

We saw whales every day of our stay just off the shore, and beautiful sunset views.

While the resort is lovely and relaxing with a wonderful beach restaurant with live music nightly and food/service to match other areas fell short.

Easy to Uber/taxi over to San Jose del Cabo for a day trip and Santa Maria or Chileno Bay for swimming.

The Hilton about 10 minutes away on the beach would be a better kid-friendly resort as there is a spot to swim in the ocean there.

We had the most AMAZING time…largely due to the outstanding customer service provided by Suar Jimenez at the Bali beds on the beach.

We spent a majority of our time in the beach cabanas and received excellent service by Suar.

We spent every day relaxing, drinking, eating, and playing cards at the beach.

Wonderful breakfast by the beach at Saltwater with excellent service.

Suar Jiménez and his extraordinary service at the beach beds makes you feel like you’re at home.

We love lounging on the beach and we had an Amazing Beach attendant Suar who took care of all of our beach needs!

Saur, the beach attendant there, was super attentive and friendly.

The beach service by Suar was outstanding.

Could have use a drink while sunning at the beach.

Suar is amazing

We spent everyday at a Bali bed on the beach.

The Romantic Dinner on the Beach was Very Good.

There are opportunities to upgrade to private dinners on the beach, high end dinners (e.g., Tomahawk) or upgraded wine—

We had a beautiful lunch at the seafront cafe, and the food was amazing.

I want to give a special thanks to the waiters Misail and Mary who were perfect at the restaurant by the beach.

One of the best places in Los Cabos for tacos on the beach.

We enjoyed a romantic dinner on the beach last night and Mario was our server.

BTW, Suar was our waiter while we were drinking abd eating by the beach.

Saltwater:

Seafood restaurant on the beach.

The beach restaurant, Saltwater, is so peaceful for an oceanfront meal.

Eating breakfast at the Saltwater restaurant on the beach while whale watching was stunning.

Service, whether poolside, beach or restaurant, over the top.

We had a private dinner on the beach that was great.

Lunch can be had by the pool or at Saltwater, the restaurant on the beach.

but always enjoyed the breakfast at the "Saltwater" restaurant on the beach.

We had some pretty wonderful meals and loved eating breakfast and dinner at the beach restaurant.

Omar was the greatest at the restaurant on the beach.

Try it for yourself at the beach restaurant and you’ll see what I mean.

We had fantastic service everywhere we went and have to give a special thank you to Suar, at the beach restaurant and with the beach bar services; he was so hard working, friendly and made sure our glasses were never empty!

Relaxing and Atmisphere near Championship golf courses..zoetry Casa de Mar los Cabos.

This property also provides golf cart shuttles and Joaquin was a joy to hitch a ride with when we needed a shuttle!

Abraham, very happy always to help us to get back to the room in the golf cart, if we did not want to walk!

Abraham at the front drove us in a golf cart to see several rooms before checking in, even going so far as recommending a different room than what we booked- which we accepted as it was better than our booking!
