Bali is amazing, we made some wonderful new friends and I will definitely be back - just not here sadly!

To set the scene, I first came to Bali in 2017 and stayed at this hotel.

Me and my partner came here for a relaxing end to our bali trip after being in Ubud and Gili T. Our hotels in those places were of way better standard than this hotel the Sol.

We are traveling next year to Sol by Melia Benoa Bali - All Inclusive and want to confirm our booking made through Agoda with the resort.

and after reaching Bali the moment I reached the hotel they gave us a warm welcome .

It had always been my dream to visit Bali and it did not disappoint.

To summarise; if you’re looking for a traditional Balinese type hotel, this isn’t the place for you, it almost has the feel of Benidorm not Bali!

Of course though, we stayed over Christmas, and whilst Christmas is not celebrated in Bali as a whole as they are mostly Hindu, Sol Beach House made it very special.

Bali is an experience like no other and this place just makes the trip so much better.

We stayed the Sol Beach House Bali Benoa, for three weeks in November 2019.

Thanks for a great time, next time we return to Bali will prob go somewhere with a bit more nightlife like Seminyak otherwise highly recommend the hotel for couples and families wanting a quieter holiday!

Food is great, as you would not imagine for an All Inclusive.

We ended up being all inclusive in the end as it was cheaper to do that that pay for one meal.

We got the gold all inclusive which basically included everything like 4 items of laundry per day (including pressing) and a 60 minute couple massage (incredible).

We didn’t do all inclusive just breakfast as we like to eat at local warungs which were an easy walk from hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel, I got the gold all inclusive package and I found it to be really good.

The all inclusive was great, as we didn't need to think about money or paying anything during our stay.

all inclusive is the perfect holiday food is great, pool is greate , beach is great,little lane way next door with market stalls same prices and goods as in Kuta  .nice massages across the road and circleQ store as well.

Last year I was able to change the dates of our 3 night all inclusive pre paid stay with no problems at all.

The smell of Frangipani flowers were everywhere in the hotel,I will always keep this precious memory.Great value for the money, if you choose All inclusive.

We didnt wanted all inclusive because we wanted to travel and discover places around,

No bar service on the beach or the pool, the swim up bar was popular, if you bought a package for all inclusive drinks and food, we didn’t as the food was really bad and the drinks included local Balinese liquors and wine.

It exceeded our expectations & it really was ALL inclusive.

We are on a bed and breakfast basis and we were going to upgrade to all inclusive and I’m so glad we didn’t, the food standard to the other two hotels we have stayed in Bali is no where near the quality, with it being an all inclusive resort be prepared to eat your breakfast from a tea plate.

All in all, this resort was well worth the money we paid for all inclusive.

after several weeks on the road I needed a true break from everything and booked a stay at the Sol Beach House under an all Inclusive gold package.

We did not choose all inclusive because there are restaurants in the hotel and also in the neighborhood.

the room was well equipped with 2 toilets a very large, very hot shower, seating area and the room we had had a perfect view of the beach and pool areas.

Quite far from Kuta and Seminyak area, (50 mins by cab) the resort is situated in an area with nice beach and sea.

Community manager Aditya helped us to arrange nice romantic dinner on the sea shore.

Situation on Benoa beach means sea swimming is dependent on the tide state , canoeing and paddle boarding provided.

We also watched a few sunrises from the beach.

Except the nice beach view that they have.

Had a very nice buffet lunch overlooking the beach.

The view from the beach showing the fishing boats and pagodas is wonderful.

Pool and pool bar are great as well as the sea and beach!

we had amazing time, beautiful resort with lovely beach and sea, great food, so tasty drinks.

The room was beautiful, with a lovely view towards the laguna and the beach.

We also had a really nice sized balcony that overlooked the beach and the pool.

However use the bicycles from the hotel and take a ride along the beach path where you come along some dramatic views of the coast with the sea crashing against volcanic rocks.

But most of all the people , not only on the street and villages are kind ,smiling and happy to see you

The meals very good especially the A la carte menu which gave us a lot more choice and the room was very good and clean with a good view of the beach.

The temple that was in Tanah Lot was located on the sea next to the beach.

The beach was stunning and so clean, there was a swimming area netted off for safety from all the water sports.

I had the silver package the room was just perfect very clean and had everything that you needed.

We did the gold package so eat of all menus mini bar topped up every day and got are washing done every day all in the deal.

As part of the package we had premium drinks (which included sparkling wine) and 4 pieces of laundry each per day - a luxury that we took full advantage of, plus a complementary massage.

We had taken the all-inclusive package which I would highly recommend, it just all added to the most relaxing and stressless holiday we've had for a long time ;) 
The Spa was wonderful and the treatments we had were great.

We didn't book the all inclusive package (silver / gold) because we love to explore local restaurants near by, plenty of choices range from fancy AUD$100 posh meal to local food truck $2. 5.

We stayed in the Xtra Beach House Junior Suite in a ground floor room with the Silver All Inclusive Package.

The hotel is right by the beach and they offer various watersport packages.

I’m glad I did not choose the all-inclusive package though.

The food was the highlight for me, being able to order from the a la carte menu within the all inclusive package was great and the a la carte menu was lovely.

From welcome cocktails and traditional dancers on arrival, to massages by the beach, romantic meals on the beach too - it's just wonderful.The rooms were so spacious and clean, and we upgraded to gold package and had sparkling rose waiting with each meal.

Check in wasn’t smooth, just wanted to sell us all inclusive package, at 1,080,000rp per person per night silver.

An All Inclusive package makes this a dream holiday mainly for couples or adult groups.

We stayed here for 10 nights with gold package and just couldn’t be happier.

We upgraded to a GOLD BAND Package ( all inclusive) .

Looks like the inside/pool view is only for the all inclusive package.

Me and my partner prefer to leave the hotel using it as a ‘base’ and travel outside the hotel area to visit other bars and restaurants.

The food here is beautiful mind you and the staff are very hard working and very helpful,

Food was awfull supposed to have 3 restaurants

If you like beer, local version tastes like Bud.

Everything was really wonderful, the staff, the room, the food, the pool, the beach, and the island!

The breakfast buffet was really nice and you could eat indoors in aircon or put on the verandah.

The range of drinks was great and I really enjoyed the free room service that was included in my package.

Nice rooms with a good view, beach front, friendly staff and great food.

Would recommend to change the menu each day.

The rental bikes and the massages were great.So much different variety of the food, both international and Asian cuisine.

Evryday they provide buffet breakfast with varieties of delicious food which was really mind blowing.food has very good quality.from front office staff to cleaning and kitchen staff all were very humble ,polite and we'll behaving.always they have a pleasant face that makes us happy .spa is good .stayed  wonderful 6 night and 7days in this hotel ,must say that it was really worth it .direct beach acess , clean pools , types of restaurants, beverages , pool bar.

The food was still fantastic as were the staff, even the entertainment was still going.

The beach was disappointing and not the crystal clear waters you would expect - it’s full of fishing boats and jet-skis meaning you end up inhaling more petrol fumes than sea air.

Rooms are damp and dirty,,towels very worn and grey not like white fluffy towels you would expect in a 5 star Hotel.

The room was dirty and smelled damp—splatted mosquitos on the mirrors and dusty desktops and sideboards.

Loads of mosquitos and no where were they trying to manage this with smoke machines.

but could do with grab rails as you could slip if not to good on your feet, toilet had an unpleasant smell all holiday.

The worst thing was stinky boats and scooters on the beach, so that you have to smell petroleum all the day on the beach

There is also a huge crack in our door and a sewage smell permits the room through the night, it’s that strong it’s woken me up 3 nights in a row.

The toilet had a horrible smell coming - plumbing issues.

The flies constantly flying around and sitting on the buffet food are disgusting as well as the ants that are on the dessert at the lunch buffet should seriously be looked into and something done about this.

but the hot sand does burn, so be careful!

The cushions were decidedly filthy and again many were fraying or splitting at the seams.

Just been reading a nasty review and i dont think that person stayed at the same place.

The noise from jetskis and speedboats is constant, and the smell of marine fuel and exhaust is sickening.

Beach not as nice as I thought it would be, as a private beach still had a few men trying to sell things, lots of jet skis going up and down so there was a smell of diesel.

Smells bad and the service at the beach is bad.

To begin with we had to ask to change our room as it stank of raw sewage which was extremely unpleasant.

but rooms below par 1st room had a very strong smelt of damp and mould the following morning we asked to reception if they could do something about it they kindly moved us to another room,this room also had a damp smell but no where near as bad we assumed it was the air conditioning so accepted the room swap.

but when the AC shuts off the smell gets stronger I was offered another room a couple doors down but same smelly issue got 4 more nights here 🤦‍♂️

I would highly recommend the Body and Sol Spa at the hotel.

The spa reduced their hours which was totally acceptable.

but they make you feel like you’re the most valuable guest and the spa is superb very recommended.

This en-suite had a spa and a large shower.

There is also a lovely massage shop across the road your looking at about 8 pounds for an hours massage absolute bliss i went for about 4.

I added a pedicure for an extremely nominal fee.

The spa well worth a visit we had a 3hr spar and felt we where walking on air when we had finished.

You also get 4 items of clothing per person laundered daily, a massage, your mini bar refilled every day and if you are staying over 8 nights as we did you get a romantic 5 course meal on the beach with your own personal waiter, Agung was our waiter, who also served at the Menega restaurant and he was fabulous.

Blissful stay at this resort and spa hotel.

They also have lots of other things: beach volleyball, table tennis, gym, in house spa (we go out to the local shops for AUD $10/hour).

We loved this hotel for many reasons:
- up to date, rooms are well maintained, spacious and clean (we stayed in a junior suite)
- medium size hotel, yet not crowded
- awesome pool, floating Fatboys are fun, the pool bar is wonderful
- great food, large choice, no matter the theme
- dreamy beach
- awesome spa, we really enjoyed the treatments!

- Staff were very nice and accommodating, let me move rooms and use the spa shower after check-out and before leaving for the airport.

The spa was a nice treat, there are spas outside of the hotel (across the road) that are cheaper

A relaxing two week stay, I had especially took advantage of the hotel massage parlour.

All the staff were so friendly and helpful.

Beach mattresses are disgusting need replacing .but have to say the staff are amazing .food was excellent .this is a true review

Really saddens me that I can only give 3/5 at best the staff are all lovely can’t do enough for you and the gardens are amazing however the pool area is really dirty needs a really good clean with the pool seats being really rough and scratchy to sit on, the rooms are a good size

but the resort itself and the staff are great.

I’m staying a week with my son and daughter for holiday in Bali.

Super boutique hotel for our first night in Bali - close to airport.

It’s centrally located to travel around Bali go uluwatu or kuta or water sports activities or ubud and booking day tour for this hotel pick up location.

Mahogany hotel is always my number one option whenever i go to Bali.

A good shopping and eating area was the Bali Collection.

We stayed in the Mahogany Hotel for a 5 day stay in Bali.

Daily shuttles to Bali Collection for shopping (tourist).

Very convenient location, from airport to hotel only 20 mins, all staffs are helpful and polite, the hotel clean and decent, it has a very nice swimming pool and they have poolside BBQ, you can try their breakfast with local food - delicious 😋😋😋
I will recommend to my friends and definitely will come again if I stay in Bali 👍👍👍

Top recommended for you when staying in Bali.

The staff was friendly especially Danny who give us info about the Bali.

Excellent pool which we lounged beside for the day.. And really good food for breakfast and the Sports Bar Restaurant.. Would 100% stay again and was great to see the real city Bali before going on to Nusa Dua..

Several great things that this moms and pops hotel have as following:
- good size swimming pool
-  nice view facing the sea toll road for    some of hotel rooms
- all rooms except family rooms have balcony or terrace
- good parking spaces
- many choices of delicious breakfast buffet menu
- small chapel on the roof
- small convention room in the front

 My family is traveling again to Bali this coming week in a big group and we are in the process negotiating the room rate at the moment.

10 minutes drive to the main Nusa Dua area with Bali Collection and the golf course cheap in a taxi.

Mahogany always be my family choice to stay whenever we go to Bali.

They also provide a complimentary car to take you to the Bali Collection area which is close to Nusa Dua Beach.

We include a photo of us with Danny who along with all of the other staff helped make our stay in Bali more enjoyable.

Recommend the rooms away from the road with a view of the bay these are quieter.

Hotel rooms are clean, spacious and view of harbour from room balcony.

The rooftop with a bar in one side and a chapel for weddings on the other side, has beautiful views of the bay.

Everyone at hotel always very helpful from the owner, manager and staff and always friendly.Great view of harbour from balcony,lovely sitting on balcony and having a drink.

Enjoy Benoa bay view from deluxe room balcony was one of my favorite corner in this hotel.

I didn't choose the bay view because well, I wasn't planning to spent my time at the balcony all day long.

The only downside is that it's located on a busy road ,so if you are a light sleeper make sure you get a room on the pool side.

And I guess the manager was too busy to even come and say a word as the new "upgraded" room was given by the receptionist only.

Drawbacks - breakfast left a lot to be desired and the location on a busy road wasn't the best.

The Mahogany Hotel is situated on a very busy dual carriageway

The location itself is not so good because it is on a busy avenue

The not so good side is that it is on a busy and noisy road.

We moved here from kuta since it was nearly the end of our bali vacation and were really tired of the busy streets, etc.

but not very big if really busy may cause complications.

but perhaps, being someone coming from a busy and fast-paced country like Japan, being in this hotel added peace and fulfillment in my short stay in Bali.

This hotel is on a very busy road, it's very loud.

The pool area/ breakfat area looks onto the busy road, (no seperating walls) which isn't shown in any pictures, so be warned no relaxation possible due to the constant noise.

Nusa Dua is a lovely area and I would say the only drawback on the hotel is that it is located on a busy street with no restaurants, or markets within walking distance, you have to take a shuttle/ taxi to get anywhere.

The room was clean, smells good, bed is comfortable.

The room is so clean, neat, and smell so good.

Swimming pool is very clean & well maintained.

The room was clean, bed is comfortable and the food was yummy.

Rooms are nice and kept spotless clean, if you get a nice view of pool or sea otherwise you are looking at busy road or not great!

The rooms are very big neat and clean.The view from the balcony is nice with rooftop.The staffs are kind.The breakfast is decent.They have a sitting area with artificial grass next to the swimming pool.

The hotel was very clean and fresh looking.

They take great pride in keeping everything clean including the rooms.

Always love the vibes, foods, cleanliness, and their staff is suuuuuper friendly.

Loved the staff, relaxed mood and cleanliness of the place and the pool area was lovely.

The breakfast was well served with an ala carte menu and the taste was pretty good.

The homerun sport cafe was great and comfy, the coffee is a must try too.

The foods are delicious both from breakfast as well as ordering from the Homerun Sport cafe.

Went to the local pub/hotel Marcys for dinner, nice food & friendly staff.

Came for celebrate my wedding anniv and took romantic dinner package.

Special appreciation to Mr.Dishan, who arranged ultra swift check in at about 12:00 am and also managed to get a big pack of food from KFC at that odd hour.

The food was very good in the restaurant and breakfast was what you typically get everywhere.
