Bali is amazing, we made some wonderful new friends and I will definitely be back - just not here sadly!

To set the scene, I first came to Bali in 2017 and stayed at this hotel.

Me and my partner came here for a relaxing end to our bali trip after being in Ubud and Gili T. Our hotels in those places were of way better standard than this hotel the Sol.

We are traveling next year to Sol by Melia Benoa Bali - All Inclusive and want to confirm our booking made through Agoda with the resort.

Oceania Biru Bali, Gendis Hair & Salon, Asti Spa Organic Bali, Reva Jewellery, Titanium Bali Massage, Titanium Bali Massage, Glo Day Spa & Salon Seminyak, Eastern Garden Martha Tilaar Spa, Krakakoa Chocolate Factory & Store, "Shisha Temple" Hookah Lounge, 2REP Divers Bali, Bahiana Salsa Bar, Gong Komodo Tour, Bamboo Spa, Golden Queen Fast Boat, Bali Ashiatsu & Wellness, Lourdes Spa, Prana Spa, Barrio & Co, 361 Fastboat Bali, Chill Reflexology, Carla Spa Sanur, Bali Mission Tour, Travelling Compass, Seminyak Driver - Private Tours, Bali Seminyak Driver - Day Tours, NIKKI COLLECTIONS Tailor & Leather, Spa Madhavi, Purnama Massage & Bodywork, Balikara Spa, Sava Spa Bali, Murano Spa, Mika Thai Spa, KIMA Surfari, MaheMaheBali Tours, Natural Skin Center&spa, Bali Season Tour - Day Tour, Kharisma Travel Bali, Bali Beach Golf Course, Bali Joe Bar, Kaiana Salon and Spa, Bali Jo Driver - Day Tours, La Karma Spa, Kharisma Dive, Siloam Spa & Fitness Center, Pelangi Bali Tour - Day Tours, Cosebelle, Putra Agung Wine Shop, Deanna Day Spa, Zema Healing, Niki Bali Tours, Eco Bali Spa, Ballinas Spa, MOXX !

and after reaching Bali the moment I reached the hotel they gave us a warm welcome .

It had always been my dream to visit Bali and it did not disappoint.

To summarise; if you’re looking for a traditional Balinese type hotel, this isn’t the place for you, it almost has the feel of Benidorm not Bali!

Of course though, we stayed over Christmas, and whilst Christmas is not celebrated in Bali as a whole as they are mostly Hindu, Sol Beach House made it very special.

Bali is an experience like no other and this place just makes the trip so much better.

We stayed the Sol Beach House Bali Benoa, for three weeks in November 2019.

Thanks for a great time, next time we return to Bali will prob go somewhere with a bit more nightlife like Seminyak otherwise highly recommend the hotel for couples and families wanting a quieter holiday!

Just got back last night and spent 5 days here. Our first time in Bali and if we come back will definitely be here.Just seen a review from someone that was there same time as us, and whilst everyone has their own views i feel i must express our opinions.

it was so nice, if I come back to Bali I will book here again
nice people, wonderfull diners, nice music and shows at night
everything is very clean and the beach is also nice
not to busy,

First time trip to Bali , and so pleased we chose this hotel .

We stayed at SOL Beach for 3 days during our trip in Bali.

The food was good.We had fantastic weather.Just across the road is a massage salon called Misel,s and for £5.70 you can have an hour massage we had quite a few.Thank you to everyone at the hotel. We had breakfast with the Orangutans at the Bali Zoo this was amazing, if you are thinking of going the hotel tour operator wanted £244.00 we did it by getting a local taxi to reserve out tickets, he collected us a 7.00 am and waited for us for only £83.00 for the two of us.The hotel is small which we loved.

On another day we had breakfast with the orang utans at Bali zoo which was a great experience.

I would recommend going to the zoo, the kids fed the tigers and the elephants, and visiting the rice fields, particularly if you could spend time in one of the cafés which overlook the fields drinking a cool beer.

Went sight seeing for a day to the zoo and other places and found prices rather high for a 3rd world country and every one wants a tip.

If you fancy seeing more of Bali, the hotel arranged a driver for us with a fully air conditioned people carrier that took us to Bali Zoo, the Ubud markets, a temple and a great view of the terraced rice fields.

Certainly can say we will be back as the drive from the airport is only around 15-20 minutes.

We booked normal taxi when going back to the airport for 200k rp (AUD $20). CONS:

1.

- Staff were very nice and accommodating, let me move rooms and use the spa shower after check-out and before leaving for the airport.

Staff are always happy to help and the location is great, accesible from the airport and for tour pick ups.

:) I appreciated the driving service to the airport.

This hotel is very close to airport and located by ocean with a private beach.

Good location in respect of airport and available excursions.

Not far from the airport so we landed and were there within a 1/2 hour with heavy traffic.

This is a fantastic property to mix work with pleasure, nicely situated in centre of Bali and easily accessible from Denpasar airport.

We just took a carry on bag on the plane which allowed us to get off the plane and out of the airport in record time.

The reception staff were very helpful in helping us try to chase up our luggage which arrived late, they liaised with the airport, kept us updated and arranged a car to take us to pick up one of the cases.

We arrived at Ngurah Rai airport after midnight and after clearing from the airport, it was only a 10-15 min ride to the hotel via the new Toll road.

The staff in the airport were great and having someone pick you up and take you to your hotel was a nice added extra.

Another advantage is that this hotel is close to the airport,

The hotel sent an airport transfer for an extra $25usd and it took about 15 mins drive to get there from the Airport.

We flew with Qatar Airlines business class, good decision, the flights and not forgetting the airport lounges, they really were incredible.

We were collected from Denpasar airport by one of the staff and arrived in refreshed after a short air-conditioned shuttle.

Cost of taxi
To and from airport to Nusa Dua 300 000.

We had booked for airport pickup and the transfer was hassle free.

The hotel is about 20 minutes from the airport.

Food is great, as you would not imagine for an All Inclusive.

We ended up being all inclusive in the end as it was cheaper to do that that pay for one meal.

We got the gold all inclusive which basically included everything like 4 items of laundry per day (including pressing) and a 60 minute couple massage (incredible).

We didn’t do all inclusive just breakfast as we like to eat at local warungs which were an easy walk from hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel, I got the gold all inclusive package and I found it to be really good.

The all inclusive was great, as we didn't need to think about money or paying anything during our stay.

all inclusive is the perfect holiday food is great, pool is greate , beach is great, little lane way next door with market stalls same prices and goods as in Kuta .nice massages across the road and circleQ store as well.

The Sol by Melia Benoa Bali - All Inclusive is near these landmarks: Caow Eng Bio Chinese Buddhist Temple, Bali Wake Park, Samasta Lifestyle Village, Waterbom Bali, Lovina Tours, Uluwatu Temple, DMZ Bali 3D Art Museum, Putu Bali Tour, Double Six Beach, Batu Belig Beach, Perancak Beach, Canggu Beach, Kinship bali tour, Tanah Lot Temple, Kelingking Beach, Taman Ayun Temple, Freedive Nusa, Aan Secret Waterfall, Bias Tugel Beach, Benoa Harbour, Jimbaran Bay, Pandawa Beach, Legian Beach, Seminyak Beach, Taman Festival, Kharisma Antiques Bali, Flow Beauty Lab, Batu Bolong Beach, Pura Penataran Er Jeruk, Ogoh-Ogoh Museum, Apnea Penida, Kusamba Traditional Salt Mining, Jimbaran Fish Market, Beachwalk Shopping Center, Garlic Lane, Bajra Sandhi Monument, Nyaman Gallery, Petitenget Beach, Ulu Watu Beach, Berawa Beach, Bali Dirt Bikes, Casa Home Spa, Pererenan Beach, Tanah Lot Cycling Tours, Sangeh Traditional Village - Day Tours, Saraswati Temple, Blue Lagoon Beach, Bhava Spa Nusa Dua, PT.

Last year I was able to change the dates of our 3 night all inclusive pre paid stay with no problems at all.

The smell of Frangipani flowers were everywhere in the hotel,I will always keep this precious memory.Great value for the money, if you choose All inclusive.

We didnt wanted all inclusive because we wanted to travel and discover places around,

No bar service on the beach or the pool, the swim up bar was popular, if you bought a package for all inclusive drinks and food, we didn’t as the food was really bad and the drinks included local Balinese liquors and wine.

It exceeded our expectations & it really was ALL inclusive.

We are on a bed and breakfast basis and we were going to upgrade to all inclusive and I’m so glad we didn’t, the food standard to the other two hotels we have stayed in Bali is no where near the quality, with it being an all inclusive resort be prepared to eat your breakfast from a tea plate.

All in all, this resort was well worth the money we paid for all inclusive.

hen party) and want to immerse into all inclusive and reap the value.

after several weeks on the road I needed a true break from everything and booked a stay at the Sol Beach House under an all Inclusive gold package.

We did not choose all inclusive because there are restaurants in the hotel and also in the neighborhood.

I had the silver package the room was just perfect very clean and had everything that you needed.

We did the gold package so eat of all menus mini bar topped up every day and got are washing done every day all in the deal.

As part of the package we had premium drinks (which included sparkling wine) and 4 pieces of laundry each per day - a luxury that we took full advantage of, plus a complementary massage.

We had taken the all-inclusive package which I would highly recommend, it just all added to the most relaxing and stressless holiday we've had for a long time ;)
The Spa was wonderful and the treatments we had were great.

We didn't book the all inclusive package (silver / gold) because we love to explore local restaurants near by, plenty of choices range from fancy AUD$100 posh meal to local food truck $2. 5.

We stayed in the Xtra Beach House Junior Suite in a ground floor room with the Silver All Inclusive Package.

The hotel is right by the beach and they offer various watersport packages.

I’m glad I did not choose the all-inclusive package though.

The food was the highlight for me, being able to order from the a la carte menu within the all inclusive package was great and the a la carte menu was lovely.

From welcome cocktails and traditional dancers on arrival, to massages by the beach, romantic meals on the beach too - it's just wonderful. The rooms were so spacious and clean, and we upgraded to gold package and had sparkling rose waiting with each meal.

Check in wasn’t smooth, just wanted to sell us all inclusive package, at 1,080,000rp per person per night silver.

An All Inclusive package makes this a dream holiday mainly for couples or adult groups.

We stayed here for 10 nights with gold package and just couldn’t be happier.

We upgraded to a GOLD BAND Package ( all inclusive) .

Looks like the inside/pool view is only for the all inclusive package.

Me and my partner prefer to leave the hotel using it as a ‘base’ and travel outside the hotel area to visit other bars and restaurants.

The food here is beautiful mind you and the staff are very hard working and very helpful,

The food in the night was usually off the menu

Food was awfull supposed to have 3 restaurants

If you like beer, local version tastes like Bud.

Everything was really wonderful, the staff, the room, the food, the pool, the beach, and the island!

The breakfast buffet was really nice and you could eat indoors in aircon or put on the verandah.

The range of drinks was great and I really enjoyed the free room service that was included in my package.

Nice rooms with a good view, beach front, friendly staff and great food.

Would recommend to change the menu each day.

The rental bikes and the massages were great. So much different variety of the food, both international and Asian cuisine.

Evryday they provide buffet breakfast with varieties of delicious food which was really mind blowing.food has very good quality.from front office staff to cleaning and kitchen staff all were very humble ,polite and we'll behaving.always they have a pleasant face that makes us happy .spa is good .stayed wonderful 6 night and 7days in this hotel ,must say that it was really worth it .direct beach acess , clean pools , types of restaurants, beverages , pool bar.

The food was still fantastic as were the staff, even the entertainment was still going.

The beach was disappointing and not the crystal clear waters you would expect - it’s full of fishing boats and jet-skis meaning you end up inhaling more petrol fumes than sea air.

Rooms are damp and dirty,,towels very worn and grey not like white fluffy towels you would expect in a 5 star Hotel.

The room was dirty and smelled damp—splatted mosquitos on the mirrors and dusty desktops and sideboards.

Loads of mosquitos and no where were they trying to manage this with smoke machines.

but could do with grab rails as you could slip if not to good on your feet, toilet had an unpleasant smell all holiday.

The worst thing was stinky boats and scooters on the beach, so that you have to smell petroleum all the day on the beach
2.

There is also a huge crack in our door and a sewage smell permits the room through the night, it’s that strong it’s woken me up 3 nights in a row.

The toilet had a horrible smell coming - plumbing issues.

The flies constantly flying around and sitting on the buffet food are disgusting as well as the ants that are on the dessert at the lunch buffet should seriously be looked into and something done about this.

but the hot sand does burn, so be careful!

The cushions were decidedly filthy and again many were fraying or splitting at the seams.

Just been reading a nasty review and i dont think that person stayed at the same place.

The noise from jetskis and speedboats is constant, and the smell of marine fuel and exhaust is sickening.

Beach not as nice as I thought it would be, as a private beach still had a few men trying to sell things, lots of jet skis going up and down so there was a smell of diesel.

Smells bad and the service at the beach is bad.

To begin with we had to ask to change our room as it stank of raw sewage which was extremely unpleasant.

but rooms below par 1st room had a very strong smelt of damp and mould the following morning we asked to reception if they could do something about it they kindly moved us to another room, this room also had a damp smell but no where near as bad we assumed it was the air conditioning so accepted the room swap.

but when the AC shuts off the smell gets stronger I was offered another room a couple doors down but same smelly issue got 4 more nights here 🤦‍♂️

I would highly recommend the Body and Sol Spa at the hotel.

Wahyu Mandiri Tour, Bali Sea Turtle Society (BSTS), Tegal Wangi Beach, Dalem Kahyangan Temple, Bali Training Centre, Purpa Fine Art Gallery Seminyak, Syah painting, Mother Huckers Axe Club, Alternative Beach, KTS Jaen Cooking Class, Taman Anyar - Traditional Balinese Village, Bali Njoey Bike Tour, Okay Divers, Nusa Bali Spa, Jimbaran Beach, Pantai Jimbaran Belitung, Transmart Carrefour, Kuta Beach - Bali, Gilis Boat, Bingin Beach, Eat Street, Archipelago Adventure, Pantai Batu Mejan (Echo Beach), Katak Yoga Shala, Seseh Beach, Pasih Uug Beach, Lake Yeh Malet, Ostina 3 Fast Boat, Sawangan Beach, PT.

The spa reduced their hours which was totally acceptable.

but they make you feel like you’re the most valuable guest and the spa is superb very recommended.

This en-suite had a spa and a large shower.

There is also a lovely massage shop across the road your looking at about 8 pounds for an hours massage absolute bliss i went for about 4.

I added a pedicure for an extremely nominal fee.

The spa well worth a visit we had a 3hr spar and felt we where walking on air when we had finished.

You also get 4 items of clothing per person laundered daily, a massage, your mini bar refilled every day and if you are staying over 8 nights as we did you get a romantic 5 course meal on the beach with your own personal waiter, Agung was our waiter, who also served at the Menega restaurant and he was fabulous.

Blissful stay at this resort and spa hotel.

They also have lots of other things: beach volleyball, table tennis, gym, in house spa (we go out to the local shops for AUD $10/hour).

We loved this hotel for many reasons:
- up to date, rooms are well maintained, spacious and clean (we stayed in a junior suite)
- medium size hotel, yet not crowded
- awesome pool, floating Fatboys are fun, the pool bar is wonderful
- great food, large choice, no matter the theme
- dreamy beach
- awesome spa, we really enjoyed the treatments!

The spa was a nice treat, there are spas outside of the hotel (across the road) that are cheaper

A relaxing two week stay, I had especially took advantage of the hotel massage parlour.

All the staff were so friendly and helpful.

Beach mattresses are disgusting need replacing .but have to say the staff are amazing .food was excellent .this is a true review

Really saddens me that I can only give 3/5 at best the staff are all lovely can’t do enough for you and the gardens are amazing however the pool area is really dirty needs a really good clean with the pool seats being really rough and scratchy to sit on, the rooms are a good size

but the resort itself and the staff are great.

The staff are lovely and the gardens etc are nice

Great customer service, super helpful and friendly staff, very welcoming.

We then asked for the rep to come to see us.

The room is fantastic, hotel is stellar, and the staff are SO friendly!

Natalia the bar lady also looked after us very well.

The hotel staff was so incredibly friendly and helpful it was a pleasure to stay here!

The staff were really friendly and remembered what I liked and disliked in terms of service provided, food and drinks.

wonderfull rooms and facilities ,staff always make you feel like you belong here .

The check in process was smooth, the reception even reminded us to use hand sanitizer cos we touched stuff around there.

Very warm welcoming by the staff. So friendly and kind.

Fantastic staff go above and beyond to look after their guests and give them a great holiday.

Nice property clean rooms and ubud was one of the best places in bali to visit, could see the real Balinese culture and its amaz8ng they only donr have beaches as its the center of the island, i also recommend the furniture shoppung

There are 2 different options, the newer rooms or the older Bali style rooms, (all look good)

Wayan picked us up from the airport and gave us a perfect welcome to Bali.

I would like to give particular thanks to Kadek and the room cleaning staff as they so kindly helped us when my daughter and I succumbed to the dreadful "Bali Belly".

Everything in Bali is cheap so splurge and get an air conditioned room.

Overall they were friendly, and helpful, which is pretty normal in Bali.

but the Bali style room was more peasant for us to stay in.

Good location spot if travelling in Bali.

The pool and the layout and landscaping of the whole place really was fantastic and gave the very tranquil and bali feel we were looking for.

The staff were all very helpful and friendly (as we found everywhere in Bali).

Nice little hotel with two different type of accommodation, and if you like to feel like being in Bali when you are in Bali, then make sure to book in the villlas closer to the swimming pool and not the new building.

Seeing the hot n humid weather in south bali we were worried that we will not be able to stay without AC.

The pool was glorious, which I later learned to be a typical treat throughout Bali!

Stayed at Ubud Bungalow for 4 nights during my Bali trip.Staff were nicely helpful & the place relaxing.Located in Monkey Forest Road, have plenty of shops, restaurants, cafe, pubs, money changers & tour companies,Atm & convenience shops.Enjoyed my stay there.

Another sign of the money-hungry desperate mentality of the tourism industry in Bali.

Three types of hotel accommodation to suit all standards.

We have now stayed in all 3 types of accommodation and can honestly say
"Stay here when in Ubud"
Comparing its attributes to all similar properties Wayan and his team win hands down.

We stayed in a number of accommodation places through the country and experienced a variety which gives us a good point of comparison.

You will get good change out of $100 a night for 2 inc breakfast for this accommodation.

Excellent location and friendly people willing to accommodate needs and keep the accommodations and grounds looking beautiful and feeling natural.

My daughter and I have just stayed for 10 nights and have been so happy with our accomodation.

Excellent budget accommodation with a great location and beautifully kept gardens!

Breakfast is served at an open planed hut & the end of the accommodation every morning , the variety from eggs cooked any how you like to local dishes , fresh fruit & freshly squeezed juice are great ( & you can have as much as you like ) .

Stayed at Ubud Bungalows from 11 March to 16 March and loved the accommodation, the staff and the location.

Checked in after our original accommodation was a disaster (Sri bungalows) stayed in deluxe room and it was perfect.

I would recommend it for anyone that doesn't want to spend a fortune on accommodation,

This is nice accommodation in a great area of Ubud.

I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this accommodation was.

The accommodation was very good with a king size bed ,air conditioning , fan , fridge and balcony .

this accommodation is situated halfway up the main monkey forest road (not down near the monkey forest as some maps show).

While the narrow nature of the property surprised us at first, we soon discovered that this is the dimensions of most restaurants, accomodation and spas in Ubud- narrow and deep.

This accommodation had the nicest staff and the best stay in all of Indo for me.

This is an upmarket budget accommodation.

but we were able to sweet talk the staff into a starting a bit earlier on the day we left (as we had to leave prior to 7am for transfer to the airport).

They arranged airport pickup for me (400,000 IDR).

My car from airport broke down as we approached Ubud and these guys sent a couple of bikes to pick up me and my pack.

The hotel also organised a taxi on my behalf to the airport for 350,000.

but the staff kept my bags for me until I was ready to leave for the airport & even looked after getting a ride to the airport for me.

On the last day, we needed a last minute ride to the airport, and the staff immediately arranged it, something that would have been very stressful!

We were picked up from the airport, which was arranged by the hotel; they offered a very good price also!

We arrived at 1am (we had arranged to be picked up from the airport which was also trouble free) and had no problems arriving and getting into our room.

Pros:
-Very spacious, clean rooms
-functional A/C
-great service (pick up from airport (for $35 CAD), arranged mount Batur trek for discounted price, provided driver for day trip of Ubud's main attractions ($60 CAD for the day))
-amazing breakfast included (choice of black rice pudding, crepes, eggs and toast, noodles, etc. also have fresh fruit and smoothies!)

Wayan collected me from the airport without any issues and once we arrived I settled into my bungalow.

Especially the gentleman (Wayan) that collected us from the airport which btw seemed to be like 45min - 1hr away.

We booked our airport pickup and drop, only to realize that the store next door offers it at cheaper rates.

They were especially helpful when the airport lost our luggage and for booking trips.

We were picked up at the airport by their staff and he was very sweet and friendly.

The staff are so lovely and will collect you from the airport.

Breakfast was just ok. We arranged airport pickup for 300k IDR .

Very close to Ubud Market as well. Transfers were easily arranged to and from the airport and the driver (Agoose?)

The driver picked me up at the airport as requested and after a short stop, we arrived at the hotel.

I had my luggage delayed for 3 days from my flight into the Bali airport and I was lucky that the staff at Ubud Bungalow continued to call the airport for updates.

On our last morning, the bungalow arranged for a driver to take us to Sanur to catch our boat to Lembongan.

The bungalow was really clean and nice, the garden is amazing.

I've stayed at Ubud Bungalows before, several years ago, I loved it then

We would recommend Ubud Bungalows as a very comfortable place to stay, very comfortable bed and pillows.

The most amazing tropical gardens lead you down past the bungalows to their beautifully formed pool .

Having stayed at various other comparable guest houses in Ubud ‘Ubud Bungalows’ tops the list!
